Thank you HarperAudio and NetGalley for the electronic audio review copy of this book. This is a wonderful historical fiction with great protagonist, characters, and setting. The story is well written and the plot moves at a good pace. I adore characters like Judith — witty, feisty, and unafraid to speak her mind — so this story was a pleasure to read. I recommend this book to anyone interested in Shakespeare or who just enjoys a good story.

There's a lot to like about this book, but my favorite thing, by far, was the narrator. Mary Jane Wells narrative performance is the best I've heard in a long time. She brings the character of Judith to life so aptly, I will be keeping this title up my sleeve to recommend to all "audiobook curious" with the intent to convert them.
