THE BILLIONAIRE’S DEFIANT ACQUISITION
This is a fast-paced, high stakes book with bully vibes. I enjoyed the audiobook narration.
BILLIONAIRE’S WIFE ON PAPER
Logan must marry to save his family’s Scottish estate. His housemaid, entrepreneur Layla, jokingly suggests a marriage of convenience—but her proposition intrigues commitment-shy Logan. Despite her insecurities, Layla agrees, but their friendly arrangement is threatened by an undeniable attraction.
I love the writing style and the story in this novel. Layla and Logan are both likeable and relatable characters. The book has a warm, emotional feel and a satisfying ending. I enjoyed the audiobook narration.
BILLIONAIRE WITHOUT A PAST
Haunted by his past, tycoon Nikolai has cut ties and leads a mostly solitary life. Then, he meets ballerina Rachel, a woman also burdened by secrets. Their passionate encounter ignites a desire that surpasses their initial two-week agreement, challenging Nik’s control and forcing him to confront his buried emotions.
The early chapters of the novel focus on the attraction between Nik and Rachel, and they have a light and romantic feel. As the novel progresses, and their past secrets surface, the tone gets a bit more serious and the stakes increase. The characters’ history of SA is handled deftly and sensitively. The audiobook narration is well done.
Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.

The Billionaire's Defiant Acquisition had potential, but it fell a bit flat for me. While the chemistry between the characters was undeniable, their hot-and-cold dynamic was so drastic that I felt like I got whiplash from their mood swings. I was also hoping for more spice, but it didn’t deliver as much as I’d expected. The story rushed to its HEA, which, while satisfying, felt underwhelming. A decent read, but not a standout.
Billionaire's Wife on Paper is a fake marriage story between Layla, a scarred woman who runs a cleaning company that helps women in need, and Logan, a billionaire who has to marry to keep his Scottish family estate. If Logan doesn’t tie the knot, the estate goes to his younger brother, who’s ready to sell it off to pay gambling debts. I liked Layla’s character. She’s shy but strong, she came from a chaotic family, and her journey of building confidence and standing up for herself was great to see. The representation of her scarring from an accident added some nice depth to her story. Logan was a bit too hot and cold for me at times, and Layla let a lot of it slide in a way that didn’t feel super realistic. I did enjoy watching her push back more as the story went on, though. The spice here was pretty vanilla, and the plot overall was predictable. It’s a decent read, but it didn’t wow me.
Billionaire Without a Past was the final book in this audio collection. I liked that the main characters had similar pasts and could really relate to each other, it made their connection feel more genuine. It was frustrating to watch our FMC struggle to stand up to her mother, but when she finally found her voice, it was so satisfying. I also really liked how our MMC helped her learn to empower herself. The ending felt a bit abrupt but solid.
Thank you NetGalley and Harlequin Audio for this audiobook collection.
