This was an interesting read. It's not really for me but I'm glad I have the chance to read it. It's pure fantasy and although I know people who will enjoy it I found it slow in parts. The story line was good and i like the characters. I like the assassination plot and how it all came about. it was nice that it was a free noble woman rather then a slave forced to do it. Saying that I feel that women aren't portrayed too well within the book and this is very much a male dominated world. If you are a fantasy lover this is a series you need to check out.
