I really enjoyed this book! The struggles with their past and present are well written. I only wish I could have seen a bit more of their relationship. The author deals with alcoholism and depression and abuse in a delicate manor and is portrayed respectfully in this book! Give it a go!! Thank you to the author for an advanced copy!

Yes please. I knew I wanted to read this. I knew I'd love it if done as well as I wished it for from the cover and blurb. I can happily say it was perfect.
My favourite books are saga esque...proper good deep books. Rosamund Pilcher stole my heart and starred that off and I'll forever be grateful for her for starting that love for me.
This one doesn't fall short of all those needs. We have picturesque village. A bold but cozy set of characters. We have relatable enoguh but just a bit further so there's a a great story to be told.
She is trapped in a troubled marriage. Run luv, soooo many red flag waving at you! And in his latest dealings she finds herself in a whole new country.

He is in said same country, and same village. Suffering and dealing with his own haunts and pain.
Upon meeting there is more than attraction. There is a.meeting and beginning of a gorgeous relationship. One filled with both give and take from equal sides. One of tender support and awareness. And rooting for them I was! And I had to read on well passed blurb tired eyes to make sure these two would be OK.

Bourton Bridge by Mia Fox is a poignant and heartfelt tale of healing, second chances, and personal growth. Set in the picturesque Cotswolds, the story follows Luke, a chef recovering from heartbreak, and Jade, a woman trapped in an unhappy marriage. Their paths cross when Jade moves to England, and despite their own struggles, they find solace in each other’s pain. Through their evolving relationship, both characters are forced to confront their pasts and embrace the possibility of a new future. A touching exploration of love, resilience, and the transformative power of human connection.

Luke and Jade, both with a troubled past and present, meet and begin to heal each other. He is grieving his loved one who died in an accident, and suffering from an abusive father. Jade is married with a young child, and also suffers physical and mental abuse from her husband. Liked this one, but heartbreaking at times. Still though, a hard book to put down and would recommend.
