I wish the characters had more depth to them. I also wish the pacing was a bit better. I found that none of the characters were very likable either.

This book was absolutely amazing. If you love hockey romances that’s fake dating and possible love triangles and brothers best friend. This is the book for you. I was hooked from the very beginning and I could not put it down. The way it was written was amazing, the hockey information, world and character building and just the over all plot was fantastic. Overall I rate the book 10/10 and I really cannot wait for the next book to come out.
I will say there were a couple spelling mistakes but they were easily overlooked.

I thought this was very good and I will have to add this to the shop shelves. Thank you for the chance for us to review.

This book is told in dual POV between Elle and Preston. Elle just got dumped by Christian, a hockey player, and wants to get back at him. So she goes to the one man Christian said she can't date and asks for a picture with them to post so Christian thinks they're together. Preston takes is one step farther and kisses her in front of press to really drive the point home because he's hated Christian for years. They end up keeping the ruse going but they're catching feelings along the way.
This book was ok. I was all for it in the beginning and was eating it up. Once we got to the middle of the story my interest in it started dissipating. Preston is sweet and he really cares for the people in his life. He would do anything for them and his parents really suck for how they treated his sister. All that aside, Preston is like a giant toddler with anger issues. Elle was great and I think she handled everything pretty well. She was barely vindictive and she didn't lead anyone on. She was very grown about the situation. She even helped Christian in the end and she really didn't have to given what he did to her.
The fact that they fell so hard so quickly for each other felt unbelievable. I understand how quickly you can catch intense feelings for someone, trust me. But with these two...it felt off. I didn't really feel their connection. It felt forced. The love triangle also felt so forced. The idea behind the story is great, I just feel like the execution didn't play out.
I don't approve of how Christian handled everything with Maya but what Preston did to protect Maya made things so much worse. I don't like how they all fell out because I'm pretty sure there's way more to that story. But that's probably intentional to build up for Maya and Christian's story. I'm excited to read their story because I feel it'll have more depth to it than this one had.
Thank you Netgalley for the ARC!

While this wasn't my favorite hockey romance due to the pacing and the self-deprecating comments made by the FMC about herself, there were some truly sweet things about this book that made me read it in one sitting. I really enjoyed the premise, I enjoyed the terms of endearment used for the MMC (Wooly Mammoth!!), and I loved the sweet, spicy, and witty dialogue. I would pick up another hockey romance by this author in the future.

I devoured "Revenge Puck" by L.A. Hart, and I'm still reeling from the experience. This sports romance novel expertly combines the thrill of ice hockey with the sizzle of a fake romance.
Ellie and Preston's story is a masterclass in building tension. Their fake romance is the perfect setup for a slow-burn that will leave you breathless. I loved watching their relationship evolve from a ruse to real feelings.
As a fan of sports romance, I appreciated the authentic ice hockey details woven throughout the story. L.A. Hart's writing brings the sport to life, making it easy to become invested in the characters' passions.
If you're looking for a captivating sports romance with a dash of fake romance, Revenge Puck is an absolute must-read. With its engaging characters, sizzling romance, and authentic sports details, this book will leave you eager for more.

I received this book as an ARC. Revenge Puck delivers exactly what it promises—a thrilling revenge romance packed with chemistry and emotion. I absolutely adored Preston; his character had me hooked, and I couldn’t wait to learn more about him. Elle was equally compelling, and I loved how she found light within Preston’s grumpiness. The story was an easy, enjoyable read, and L.A. Hart’s writing made it even more engaging. The side characters were especially well-developed—I found myself invested in Christian and Maya and would love to read more about them!

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for the eARC.
Unfortunately, I DNF'ed this book pretty early on. For me, the story was a bit too generic. It had nothing to do with the writing, I was just not a fan of how the story started and it felt too similar books I've read before. I think this book would be great for readers who prefer Sports/Hockey Romance above all over romance. While this was not for me, I can very easily see this as a book many others would love.

Review: This book had me cackling like a loon! I freaking love the relationship between Preston and Elle and the amount of growth he goes through in this book. Sure, there were ups and downs that made you want to reach into the book and knock some sense into him but overall, this was a brilliant book that I want more of.

Elle Townsend and pro hockey player Christian Riley have been dating for five months before he breaks it off with her. Elle thought that they were dating exclusivly until Christian tells her other wise. Now heartbroken Elle want to get revenge on Christian and needs help from one of the rival teams player Preston Lawrence. Christian doesn't care who Elle dates next as long as it isn't Preston. On the eve of the first game of the championship Elle meets Preston and talks him into fake dating her. Preston and Christian used to be roommates and best friends before Christian went pro. Preston has always been known as the grumpy stick to the rules kind of player. So when Christian see Elle and Preston together he will do anything to try and win her back. This was a cute, funny, and spicy all rolled up into one book. I absolutely enjoyed it. I would like to thank both NetGalley and Editor's Choice Publishing for letting me read an advanced copy of this novel.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC!

Hockey romances are having a moment and for good reason - they're always a lot of fun! While I was a bit skeptical of how quickly the main characters fell for each other, I still really enjoyed this book. Lots of great banter and side characters as well.

This is a solid hockey romance, the getting back at a rival trope works so well in this book. I really fell in love with the characters and the side characters, I genuinely didn’t hate anyone in this book (even the rival). The plotting was good but some important scenes that were mentioned several times throughout the book were never shone to the reader. Also, in some capacity this is a fade to black romance, so be aware of that. All that being said, thoroughly enjoyable!

Hockey romances are my favorite thing in this world and this lived up to my expectations! I adored and devoured this book!

Elle is a hair stylist and scorned woman who wants revenge on her cheating ex-boyfriend, Christian Riley. Riley just so happens to hate one person in the league, Preston Lawrence, and he’s the one man Elle chooses to have a little revenge with.
She just never realized that a fake relationship just might turn into a real one.
Enjoyed reading this little novella! It was predictable, but satisfying.
(Received as an ARC from the author and publisher)

I'm not typically a fan of the grumpy/sunshine trope, but I really enjoyed this one! I'm a big hockey romance fan and I think having the grumpy MMC be a hockey player really fit the character well! I really enjoyed the dynamic between Elle and Preston, especially being as Preston is her ex's rival. It made the fake dating into real dating even better!! Also the backstory of the characters was such a good amount of depth and I really liked how it tied all the characters together. It was a good amount of spice mixed in with the flirty banter between Elle and Preston as well! I can't wait to read book 2 to see where Maya and Christian's story goes!! This was such a fun, flirty and entertaining read! I will definitely read more from L.A. Hart!

The concept was cute. There were a lot of typos that kind of drove me nuts.
As a fellow hockey fan, who prides themselves on making good hockey signs, I highlighted so much of that to feed my delulu fantasies.

Revenge Puck is a fast-paced, drama-filled hockey romance that thrives on fake dating, heated rivalries, and plenty of tension on and off the ice. While it delivers on entertainment and steamy moments, it also leans heavily into revenge-fueled chaos, which may or may not work for every reader.
Elle Townsend is fresh off a brutal breakup with hockey star Christian Riley, and rather than sulk, she plots the ultimate payback—pretending to move on with Christian’s biggest rival, Preston Lawrence. What starts as a simple scheme quickly spirals out of control, with a viral kiss, media frenzy, and unexpected emotions coming into play. Preston, known for his bruiser reputation, finds himself drawn to Elle in ways he didn’t expect, but the question remains: Is this real, or is Elle just another piece of his rivalry with Christian?
What Worked:
✔ Entertaining Fake Dating Set-Up – The premise is fun, fast-moving, and full of sports romance drama. The public antics, the viral moments, and Christian’s growing jealousy add layers of tension.
✔ Preston as a Love Interest – Despite his reputation as an enforcer, he has a sweet side that makes him compelling. His struggle between revenge and real feelings adds depth.
✔ Fast-Paced and Engaging – The book is easy to devour, with plenty of action, sharp banter, and a chemistry-filled romance that keeps the pages turning.
What Didn’t Quite Land:
✖ Over-the-Top Drama – While fun, some moments feel more like a soap opera than a believable romance, especially with the intensity of the rivalry and revenge plot.
✖ Elle’s Motivation Felt Shaky at Times – Her reasoning for the revenge scheme is understandable but sometimes felt immature, especially as the situation escalated.
✖ Rushed Emotional Development – The transition from fake dating to real feelings happens quickly, and I would’ve loved more time spent exploring Preston and Elle’s connection outside of Christian.
Overall, Revenge Puck is a solid pick for fans of dramatic, trope-heavy hockey romances with fake dating, rivalry-fueled tension, and a bit of chaos. If you enjoy books like Puck Me Secretly or The Deal, you’ll likely enjoy this one—just be ready for the drama to take center ice.

i love a hockey romance so much and this one did not disappoint. i can’t wait to see what the author does in the future.

I love a fake dating tripe but really struggled with the believability / writing style in this one and ultimately didn’t finish the book. Thank you for an arc in exchange for an honest review.

Firstly, the cover on this is absolutely beautiful and I am absolutely obsessed with it !
