This book was a nice easy read and it was good to read close to Valentine’s Day, I felt that it was quite predictable but an enjoyable read. I was going to mark as 3 stars but then the ghost subplot came up and it felt entirely pointless and irrelevant to the story. The friends were also hard to distinguish from each other due to similar characteristics and similar names! Also, a character called Summer Moon - not for me! Don’t get me wrong I did enjoy the book but felt that it was a lot of build up for not much of a climax, and then it was over. Thanks for letting me review NetGalley.

Thank you for the ARC and a chance to provide my honest review. While this store is a quick easy read, i think a few more pages may have helped with more back story etc. However, that being said, the characters were fun and interesting. The escapades they found themselves in were laugh out loud funny at times, even if some of the 'historical/ghost' info was not very well portrayed to the reader. I have read others by this author I have enjoyed more but I definitely will still read more as well.

Cute and sweet but a bit disjointed, this story about Everly and Beckett was overall fun but felt, a little forced in terms of direction. A secret admirer turned second chance romance, I enjoyed the progression for the second chance romance with just a bit of “who sent the invite” to Everly. I do love the premise and the couple and the small town romance.

This was a very cute and sweet novella. It had all the angst and passion that you would expect to find in a friends to enemies to lovers trope. The author did a great job flashing back to both good and bad memories from high school. You also had the one character everyone loves to hate.

Very good book! Everly is returning to her home town for a Valentine's Day tradition. She received a special invitation. So much is about to happen including seeing her ex boyfriend again.! It's a must read! Interesting ending!

4.5 Stars!
Nothing compliments a cold snowy day than a second chance romance with well-defined characters and a Valentine's Day theme. The Kiss Lottery, by author Ilsa Madden-Mills, is a well-written novella that kept me entertained and hopeful for love. I read the book from cover to cover very quickly because the narrative was too good to put down.
Ten years ago, Everly Davis left her hometown of Rose to escape heartache and the gossip of living in a small town. She has become a successful podcaster, calling home New York City. Sadly, she has never felt that she belonged anywhere. Beckett Whitfield is a bestselling author and has never had a reason to move away from Rose. Everly and Beckett were the bestest of friends growing up and overtime fell deeply in love. Unfortunately, circumstances caused them to separate. Luckily, Everly is lured back to Rose when she receives an invite to the town's annual Kiss Lottery, which brings them back together forever.
I truly enjoyed this book. Everly and Beckett are an emotional ouple and their sexy times are hot.

Thank you very much to Montlake and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this book in advance of publication. Ilsa Madden-Mills is an automatically buy for me and is in my top 10 romance author recommendations to family, friends and strangers shopping in bookstores. When I saw the pagination count I was sad but I quickly got over this and reminded myself it was a new Ilsa Madden-Mills book!
This book was literally the chef's kiss for the small town vibes of bantering, chemistry and second chance love. As always, I continue to look forward to more books with this trope and what new chaos Ms. Madden-Mills brings us in her stories.

Adorable Valentine’s novella, enjoyed the characters qualities and the small town quirks. He wrote her into his book as a villain, I cannot this was so funny to me.

Unfortunately I did not see this was a novella when I first downloaded it. Novellas are not my favorite and I hoped this one would change my mind as I usually enjoy Madden-Mills books. Sadly I felt the characters in The Kiss Lottery were not fleshed out enough and the book moved too quickly for my tastes.

Very cute.
The chemistry and banter were adorable between the couple.
It was a great, refreshing read during the season of love

I love this author so much! The Kiss Lottery was such a fun and sweet read. Two of my favorite genres, second chance small town romance. Everly and Beckett’s story was the perfect read for valentines. These two grew up together and were never able to make things work between them. Now ,any years later Everly is back in the town she grew up in. Now that she’s back will these two be able to make things work this time? This was the sweetest story. I loved it and the characters so much.

A cute, small town, Valentine’s Day, childhood friends-to-enemies-to-lovers. There was a lot whiplash in this one. It felt very, I love you, I love you not. Beckett makes her the villian in his bestselling book BUT also couldn't stay away away from Everly. I love good banter and this book had it in spades, chef's kiss. Because Everly gave as good as she got. She wasn't going to let him get in all the good shots. Loved her. Beckett, I have I love you, I love you not feelings. It felt like he dragged it out for far too long considering how much he clearly wanted Everly.
This is a great read and I highly recommend!

[Thanks Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC. This is my honest opinion but just one opinion, you should read it and judge it by yourself]
A charming and sweet novella, great for those moments when you need something sweet -and hot- but you don’t have time for a full length book.
This is a great friends-to-lovers mixed with something similar to second-chance and a paranormal little touch. It’s very easy to read, the MC are charming and great but I’m still a little confused with the paranormal story, it’s totally unnecessary.
Overall it’s good.

The Kiss Lottery
by Ilsa Madden-Mills
The Kiss Lottery is a sweet entering novella.
I loved everything about it. I adored great pacing and fun characters, and it was a second-chance romance with a HEA.

The perfect cozy read for a Friday night! I realised that I've missed ilsa's writing, this was the definition of a warm hug. If you're a usual reader of her books then I don't think you need to wait to pick up this book but if not, I hope you will after this!
Beckett was Chef's kiss! He was everything you could expect in a guy. Usually in the second chance trope the reason for their split would be something annoying but not in this book. The pining was so good and our h is also not a whinny doormat which was a relief! It's pretty much a novella but I would have loved a bigger book

This is a fast, cute read about second chances and soul mates. Everly and Beckett have been friends since they were kids, as teenagers Beckett told her he never wanted to see her again, and she left town. Now ten years later, she comes home for the Kiss Lottery and her podcast. She is upset that Beckett made her the villain in his new book and intends to confront him about it. However, nothing about seeing him again goes according to plan. I think that Beckett is a sweet guy and he shows that he is willing to break out all of the romantic gestures in order to win her heart back. There is a lot of good humor, romance, and a little spice. I enjoyed this story, I found the characters relatable, and the side characters interesting.
Received ARC in exchange for voluntary honest review from Ilsa Madden-Mills and Grey's Promotions.

I love reading anything Ilsa Madden-Mills.
This was a novella so a quick read which is great when you are in a slump.
It was sweet and funny, smirk worthy. I love a second chance romance.
Small town love story is my jam
So much fun

A quick well written romance by an excellent author. The story, being so short did not allow for much plot build up but it made a great escape for a few hours. Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for giving me access to an early copy of this book.

Perfect read for Valentine’s Day. A second chance romance spicy novella (130 pages). Everly Davis returns to her hometown because she received an invitation to the Kiss Lottery. Beckett Whitfield was her next door neighbor and best friend. But they haven’t talked since the high school scandal that broke her and her boyfriend up. This story is small town meddling, secret gifts and getting back with the one you meant to be with. Very fun novella.

Everly and Beckett get a well-deserved second chance amidst serious secrets and light-hearted fun.
Based on events later in the book, I didn't really understand Beckett's initial animosity towards Everly. That threw me off somewhat, and I kept waiting for that bitterness to pop up again, but it never did. If anyone had reason to feel bitter, it would be Everly.
Other than that, I enjoyed the banter between Beckett and Everly and their chemistry. Oh, and Everly's confusion about what was happening. Well, it's fair to say I was also a bit confused at the start. The gifts and the "roses are red…" notes had me smiling.
This novella packed in Everly's humiliation in high school, Beckett's secret, and their reunion without it feeling rushed or incomplete. And let's not forget the ghost story. I can highly recommend this if you like a steamy second-chance romance.
Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for providing me with a copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
