Didn't realize this is really a novella. Not sure if the rest of the stories in the series are as short. Despite the length, I felt Dog with a Bone was a decent intro which contained a satisfyingly complete story, but left lots more to be uncovered in future books.
Looking forward to book 2, Heir of the Dog.
This was another instance where I saw the book on Netgalley and requested it, forgot about it and got a copy on Amazon too. Either way, my review is based on my reading experience, not how I got the book.
