Two courageous hearts are working towards hope. A novel that is both sweet and honest.

Maggie has never dreamed of interviewing a dashing cowboy Tru Monahan - and has not even wanted to do. But her media network TV presenter Amanda, who is also a dear friend, is ill - so Maggie has to take over her duties for today. But it shouldn't be that hard, right?
Yeah, right.
Tru knows very well why being entangled with a reporter is not a good idea - after all, they like to put him on the front page with their made-up stories about his love life. But he can´t help himself to be attracted to beautiful, if a bit klutzy interviewer, who is hopping around in lady shoes insanely unpractical for this part of Texas. So seeing her all nervous during an interview, he is trying to help. This help ends in betting on he can make her a horse rider.
And the TV station going all for it, unexpectedly.
So Tru and Maggie find themselves in the pit of the bet - two months training, then a competition covered by TV.
After the initial distrust, they find themselves attracted to what they see in each other. and I am not speaking of just the physical attraction - Tru sees a warm heart in Maggie, willing to help everyone find a bit of hope in their lives through her column. Maggie sees a trustworthy guy, loving his family. But there are painful secrets they are both hiding, believing themselves not worthy.
Can love conquer the fear and the blocked possibilities?

How lovely is that book? To be honest, I had opened the pages awaiting a sugar-coated, boring story. How wrong I was! This one is pure good, not hiding the painful parts of the lives, but offering a hope to overcome them with.
Maggie and Tru were and are through some harsh realities - but there is still so much more of what they can achieve and offer! I love how the authoress acknowledges the hardships and (without any sugar-coating) offers the look of hope for the future. All this accompanied with a set of lovable characters (some of them hunky cowboys, even!).
I love both Tru and Maggie (and I don´t always love both main characters). I also love their sidekicks - a bombshell reporter Amanda with a so big heart, a gritty teenager slash mother-to-be Jenna, Tru's handsome cowboy brothers (yay for their future romances!). And the hair saloon ladies, they are so fun!

This book flows effortlessly trough the heart, gently offering a dash of hope while entertaining you with a truly sweet story. A winning combination!

I am voluntarily reviewing a copy of Betting On Hope through the publisher and Netgalley:

Maggie Hope is an advice Columist, soon Maggie is filling an interview with Champion horse trainer Tru Monahan soon it is obvious they had some kind of Chemistry.

Tru is not sure he wants to see Maggie, but he does not wish her any ill-will.

Maggie is a city girl, and Tru is a country boy, a champion horse trainer with a passion for country living.

Maggie spends most of her adult life trying to run away from her past, but a young girl Jenna reminds her of her own youth when her Mother told her she was not wanted.

Betting On Hope is a story of love, hope and redemption, it's a story of forgiveness and of second chances, but it is also a story of love and of faith.

I give Betting On Hope five out of five stars.

Happy Reading.
