The Queen of Bright and Shiny Things by Ann Aguirre is a heartfelt contemporary YA about hope, healing, and finding love when you least expect it. Sage, known for her positive sticky notes, hides her own painful past while helping others. When she meets troubled musician Shane, their connection is both sweet and raw. This book is perfect for anyone who loves character-driven stories about second chances and resilience.

I started this one and struggled to get into it. I can't pinpoint one reason as I heard such great things but I just could not move past the first few chapters.

This book wasn't for me. I DNF'd this book about halfway through because I just didn't like the main character.
