Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a tool I found that helped with my own anxiety, I've learned more about it through research and incorporate it into my own practice as a behavior analyst in supporting neurodivergent children and youth. I will definitely be adding this workbook to my toolbox! It is well laid out and hits on all aspects of building psychological flexibility in a way that is not overwhelming and can be broken down for kids to digest. I'll also do these exercises with my own kids, we've talked about some of it already but the exercise tools included will help in bringing in back to their own thoughts. Great addition to the ACT world!

This was a great workbook, with an engaging concept for age appropriate learning about anxiety! I don’t think I have seen anything quite like this book for youth to explore those feelings and help them learn but also process anxiety. Will definitely be using this book for my work with children and adolescents!

This workbook explores what anxiety is and who Justin Case is. It also explores what we can do when anxiety shows up. Words like terrified, scared, apprehensive, trepidation, and worried are listed in the book to help show you just how many things/words can describe anxiety. Having different words for each feeling and our experiences helps us create stories that become more interesting and useful to talk about.
It also talks about what you should know about anxiety and about how it's about the "what ifs," and the "not knowing" There are many exercises in this book that show you how you can deal with your anxiety.

I like the idea of teaching kids about anxiety using a story like medium such as this. I think the text is suitable for kids though I do wonder about the kids on the younger range (aged 8). I think this workbook could benefit from more workbook and less prose. Also, the illustrations could use some color so that the book does not feel drab to young readers.

I thought this workbook was a very age-appropriate way for kids and teenagers to work through their feelings of anxiety, grounded in real-world examples and exercises. I appreciate the section for parents and caregivers to help their child through the material and how to validate and support this work.
