Thank you so much to NetGalley and Little, Brown Books for Young Readers for accepting my request for an ACR of this book!
2.75/5
Millions are nothing. The heart of the guy next to me is the greatest score I’ve ever stolen.
I will say first and foremost, I forgot this was a sequel to Heiress Takes All but was relieved to know that it wasn’t exactly plot heavy in what I needed to catch up on. The plot in and of itself to me was alright, I personally felt like there could have been something more, it just felt like the stakes weren’t as high as they could be to really feel the stress of the heist itself. Out of all the characters, I was the most fond of Kevin, though I did feel like I got ot know the characters somewhat more.. It’s hard for there to be a big cast of characters and be able to connect with each one, which is what I found difficult with this book. Since it was confined to only one POV (Olivia) it really felt like we, as the reader we're only going to get to know so much about these characters without it taking away from the main plot.

“Owens Family Rule #3. Expect the worst. Then expect even worse.”
I love a good heist book, and this was a fun one. I really enjoyed being back with Olivia and her friends, this time in Switzerland. The added dynamic of the rest of the Owens family, plus Olivia’s father made for some interesting interactions.
There were a few things that I didn’t love, and a few times I was a little bored with some drawn out plot points, but for the most part I enjoyed this one!

The sequel is just as good as the original! The authors have created another twisting, turning heist with Chess Club being front and center to all the action. This time, we are wisked away to the ancestral castle of the Owen's family as Olivia hatches a plan to get into her family's vault and steal the contents from under her grandmother's nose. Little does she know, her grandmother has her own plans for this family reunion and her inheritence. With a cast of favorites joining in for another heist, you know things won't go as planned and the crew is in for another ride of their lives.

4.5⭐️ So authors have been hitting their book 2’s out for the park of late! I was a bit worried for a hot minute at the beginning of the book as I didn’t get as sucked in from the jump as I did with Heiress Takes All. It was unfounded as there is no sophomore slump happening here.
Do you have to read book one to enjoy this one? No. You could easily jump right in as the author team with more complicated last names than I can remember did a great job of giving enough of the pertinent info from book one without sounding repetitive.
From a prose perspective Wibberley and Siegemund-Boka (I told you it was a lot), a wife and husband dynamic duo, due a fabulous job of presenting in one seamless voice. The only indication that there are two different gendered authors is the authenticity they impart onto the characters.
This is one of the few series where I want to root for the FMC despite not liking her very much. For readers that aren’t YA fans typically, this needs a bit of suspension of disbelief with high schoolers pulling off some very adult things but the good part is that it does read more adult for finicky readers but still very enjoyable for our young readers.
I am thankful to have gotten a complimentary eARC from Little, Brown Books for Young Readers through NetGalley to read which gave me the opportunity to voluntarily leave a review.
My rating system since GoodReads doesn’t have partial stars
⭐️ Hated it
⭐️⭐️ Had a lot of trouble, prose issues, really not my cup of tea (potentially DNF’d or thought about it)
⭐️⭐️⭐️ Meh, it was an ok read but nothing special
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Really enjoyed it! Would recommend to others
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding! Will circle back and read again

I absolutley loved this book! I was gripped into the story as soon as I started and finished it in one sitting. I loved the authors writing style because it made it very easy to read and follow the plot. The characters were very unique but there journey was amazing and extremely satisfying to read. I will be recommending this book to all of my family and friends.

If you know me at all, you know that I love heist stories. There’s just something about a crew of people coming together to pull off a con or theft.
This is a sequel to Heiress Takes All (which I read last year and loved) and you will definitely need to read that book first because this book takes off not long after the first one ended.
I really liked all of the scheming, plans, and all the different friends working together. However, I missed the humor that was so prevalent in book one and I really missed McCoy, who was my favorite character. I loved him.
This one adds new layers of schemes and new characters that our main group must face. The twist at the end I found to be a bit predictable, but I still really enjoyed seeing everything unfold. And the way the book ended?? I need the next one now!

It took me longer than I anticipated to get into this book, to really feel engaged and get the mystery moving. But once it clicked into place for me, it really became a page turner. The deviousness of these teenagers - yikes! (And yet, maybe not really?). The book ended with a bombshell, so I’m looking forward to what I hope will be book 3. Thanks to Little, Brown books for the ARC.

I'm glad to see that the sequel is just as entertaining, fast-paced, and well done as the first book in the series. I love books where I can't tell what is coming next while at the same time nothing feels like it was just thrown in there without reason. A great cast of characters (and the relationships between them) tie it all together perfectly.

⭐⭐⭐⭐
HEIRESS AMONG THIEVES by Emily Wibberley and Austin Siegemund-Broka
Thank you Netgalley and Little Brown for the earc (Jun 24)
Olivia and her gang are back and ready for another heist.
When she receives an invitation to her grandmother's birthday party, she sets her plan into motion..It's supposed to be easy: get in, open the vault get out. However, Olivia's family is harboring dark secrets and an even darker legacy.
I ended up liking this better than the first. Something about it just spoke to me. This book was more than a heist. It was woven with a mystery that was only half solved, leaving room for another book.
This book left me shocked. It just kept giving with new twists around every corner adding to the action of this. I never knew what would happen next, which added to the thrill.
Throughout this book, there were a few times where I rooted for the wrong characters (sorry, I just loved Olivia and Tom's banter). There were also times where their likeability dwindled...ahem, that last chapter. Those revelations left me baffled and ready for more...

This was a fun sequel to the first book in the series. I really enjoyed the relationship between the characters and the mystery was engaging. I think that this is a great addition to this author duo's catalog. The story dragged in a few spots at the start but once the mystery began it picked up and held your attention.

Heiress Among Thieves is an absolute masterpiece—an electrifying blend of high-stakes heists, irresistible intrigue, and characters so compelling they leap off the page. Wibberley and Siegemund-Broka deliver a dazzling, fast-paced adventure filled with razor-sharp twists and undeniable charm. This book is pure perfection, a must-read for anyone who loves clever storytelling, elite cons, and heart-pounding suspense!

Olivia, heiress and master thief, received an invitation to her grandma's seventieth birthday party. she was excited to pull another heist. But her grandma announced that she is dying and plans to be buried with her fortune.... She is forced to choose between Jackson and what she is willing to risk...
It's good to see Olivia and Jackson and the rest of the crew again... Enjoy all the actions, suspense, friendship and romance.... An outstanding story...
Thanks to the publisher for the arc.

5/5 amazing. That ending ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!? So happy to be thrown back into Olivia’s world and go on another heist with her and the crew. We learn more about her family and get to be part of the chess club again. I hope there’s a third book!

alright alright i KNOW i wasn’t the biggest fan of the first book, but i obviously had to read the sequel because i get fomo. sue me. this was still giving the inheritance games in a way so i still stand by if you enjoy that series, you would like these as well 🙂↕️
