I absolutely tore through this book in one sitting. Told from the perspective of Mercy, the 18 year old hero of a deadly mall shooting two years ago who has been chosen to compete in a new survivalist reality shot. Set in a secluded desert ghost town and bankrolled by an eccentric billionaire, the program has a cast of eight young people, aged 18-20 who will ostensibly work together the make it to the end. All finishers will be rewarded $100k. When the challenges turn dangerous and someone ends up dead, Mercy and her cast-mates begin to realize that surviving really is the name of the game.
I loved this book. It the perfect YA thriller, plus the tropes of reality tv +the very rich are favorites of mine. Full of twists and turns and characters that pop off of the page, Kate Alice Marshall's We Won't All Survive is the compulsively readable book you've been looking for. Five stars.
I received this advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review and feedback.

From the bestselling author of “I Am Still Alive” comes a chilling, YA thriller from Kate Alice Marshall, an author I’ve been following for quite some time (albeit her adult thrillers).
After surviving a mall shooting, Mercy Gray is offered a shot at a life-changing prize on a survival reality show. But when the contestants arrive at a remote location, they find themselves trapped—and one turns up dead. As the body count rises, our MC Mercy must fight to survive a game far more dangerous than she expected.
While it moves at a breakneck pace, overall, I didn’t click with this one — I blame the “locked door” corner of the thriller genre just not being my favorite. It doesn’t work for me in YA or adult thrillers, so it definitely affected my time with Marshall’s story here. I have to give major props, though, since she typically writes more adult thrillers and the transition to a younger audience can be hit or miss. That’s not the case here.
Side note — and something that didn’t affect my rating — but I would have loved a warning that this book wouldn’t be available for Kindle users. I have a hard time reading on the NetGalley app so there were times the finickiness took me out of the immersion (not only was Mercy battling to stay alive, but so was I)! Thanks to NetGalley and Penguin Teen for the ARC.

The premise of this book is so interesting and I was really looking forward to reading it! Unfortunately, this e-ARC does not have a “send to Kindle” option. It is only accessible in the NetGalley app or NetGalley Reader on desktop. I would prefer to read an e-ARC on my Kindle. Hopefully this option is added soon!

Unfortunately I suffer from getting headaches reading on any device other than my Kindle. I'm not able to read and review the book at this time, I will purchase when it comes out and read and review! It sounds very good and I'm very upset that I can't get the epub to read it now.
So I can't really rate the book, but I do have high hopes so I'm going to give it 4 for now.

This book is fast-paced and will keep you on the edge of your seat the whole time. Such a well written story and I can't wait to read more by Kate Alice Marshall in the future! Highly recommend!
