After reading Dangerous Lovers from this author, I decided to read Dangerous Secrets and found it enjoyable. Both these books can be read standalone and equally good

Wow, Lisa Marie Rice certainly knows how to write a good story, this one has fast action, suspense and passion pouring from the pages and it had me hooked from the first page.
Nick Ireland (Iceman) was a former Delta Force Operator and now working as a government undercover agent. Nick was good at his job, he could transform himself into any roll, nothing was out of bounds to achieve his aim..........his aim at the moment was to acquire information that would bring down the most dangerous man on earth.
Russian, Vassily Worostzoff (Vor), a prolific writer, had been in a Russian prison camp where he had to hear the screams of the wife he loved to distraction, as she died. Vos was now a very different person, living in the small town of Parkers Ridge, Vermont.
Vos had befriended the pretty local librarian, Charity Pruitt, she attended his musical soirees with all his well connected friends, but all was not as it seemed.
Nick had transformed into handsome, ultra wealthy, retired businessman, Nicholas Ames, he looked the part, cashmere coat, hand made shoes, manicured nails, he was out to woo the local librarian, he needed information and he would stop at nothing to get it.
Beautiful, gentle Charity fell straight under his spell but what the Iceman had thought would never happen did, the ice began to melt.
This story follows Charity and Nick as Nick tries desperately to keep focused on his task and ignore the feelings for Charity that were beginning to blunt his sharpness. Could he put Charity's life in danger, could he risk the future of the nation, if not the world, would Charity understand or would she have to be kept in the dark, one thing was for sure, when she found out what he had done she would never forgive him.
I couldn't put this book down and I look forward to reading more from Lisa Marie Rice.

A romance with suspense always makes for a good book and this one is no exception. Ms. Rice writes so that her readers can actually become part of books. Secrets abound with Nick and seeing Charity fall in love with him made for a perfect love story.

Repetitious X Rated Novel

I was invited to read this book and the description sounded good so I ordered it. I just finished the last page and I’m still trying to find the plot that was promised in the description. Oh, there’s lots of sex, but I thought I was going to read a story about an evil, demented Russian planning a nuclear disaster. When I got about 60% through the book it seemed like the real action was about to begin, but no, just a brief respite before the story ended. If you are into graphic sex, this is your book. If you want a good mystery, find another book.

Danger, action, angst, heartbreak, and spice. All the things you expect in a Lisa Marie Rice book. Overall a good story, just didn't hit for me for some reason. I love her other series, and if you want action and spice, definitely worth the read.

I enjoyed this story overall, but the way the book started had me kinda confused which meant I had to skip ahead to find out what was going on and then I had to go back where I had started. I don’t like cheating, but had I of not cheated I would have quit the book. Maybe this is the author’s style and I’m new to it…. Could be a me problem.
Charity and Nick are both well written chapters who you will fall in love with. Her quickly, instantly even. I found her very relatable.

The prologue of this story gripped me instantly—I couldn’t dive in fast enough. While that initial intrigue pulled me in, the pace soon settled as Nick and Charity’s relationship unfolded. I was especially curious about the character lingering in the background, whose presence set their story in motion. However, the weight of his dark past didn’t fully deliver on the threat he posed. That said, the romance between this hero and heroine was sweet, fast-paced, and undeniably hot. The epilogue was everything I love, and though this wasn’t my favorite in the series, I still thoroughly enjoyed it.

“Dangerous Secrets” is part of the Dangerous series by Lisa Marie Rice. This book can be read as a stand-alone. Small town librarian Charity gets swept off her feet by handsome, rich, and sexy as all get out Nick Ames. Nick has a secret - and that secret is that he’s trying to bring down a Russian mob leader - who happens to be Charity’s friend. I must admit, this book was not my favorite in the series. Nick first believes that at the age of 28 Charity will appear to be a “dried up prune” (really? At 28?). The two characters really reminded me a lot of the first book in this series - powerful take charge man and a “I don’t know how beautiful I am” female. The chemistry between them in instant lust - and they end up being married within ten days (not a spoiler as it’s obvious from the prologue). The sex scenes have heat, though I wasn’t too thrilled by some of Nick’s actions, even when he knew Charity wasn’t ready for him. Have to be honest when Charity said one line, it made my eyes roll hard and I knew that it was foreshadowing. If you want steam and spice, this has it.

I love reading about relationships when the woman gets the man to loosen up and stop being so frigid personality-wise. This new title from Rice explores that and more. I enjoyed the tension and flow of the book. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

Dang! The chemistry was off the charts with Charity and Nick. She's lucky he came into her life right when he did, even if it was under false pretenses. If Vassily had gotten his hands on her, I can't even imagine what her life would have been like. How someone can turn on innocents after what happened to his one true love, baffles me. That scene was horrific. But everything about Charity and Nick was off the charts hot!

Oh my! What am amazing read! The level of suspense never lets up. Like the Midnight Man this is one I will read over and over! When the Iceman is sent on a mission little did he know that his life would change so with the meeting of 1 Librarian! If you like spicy romance with lots of suspense this is your read! A read into all hrs of the Night

Action, suspense, international terrorists, obsession, human trafficking, mafia - all woven through with an unexpected love, that is real but not, but is! A lot of tense moments, strong and fast moving plot.

Loved reading the amazing and awesome romance story. Nick's mission is to get close to Charity, but Nick finds himself wanting Charity for himself. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, and a must read riveting story by the fabulous author, Lisa Marie Rice.
