Definitely a great debut contemporary romance!! I really enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it.
The plot of this is something that’s such a classic. I will devour any sort of vacation temporary time away. This one was work related, but had just the same amount of excitement and tension with it.
I went into this completely blind so I did not know anything about this, however I am very happy of how it turned out.
I really enjoyed the spice and tension in this. With it being a sort of forbidden romance due to the characters and their situations, it added that much more to their chemistry. And their chemistry was already off the walls, even when they disliked each other. Or when she hated him.
I liked the friendship the FMC had with her friend. It was hilarious to read about.
The workplace sexism/misogyny in this was so annoying, but felt completely realistic. Since she is a woman, a woman of color more specifically working in a man dominated, it shows her struggles and experiences that she goes through due to the horrible men she works with. I liked how it all ended in the end.
One thing I did not like was the “other woman” storyline. It’s not something I really enjoy in a book, even when it’s not exactly other woman, but no spoilers. That’s just the tiny part I did not like about this.
However, it was very fun and I really enjoyed it, so I’m still giving it five stars. It made me cry and giggle, so I’m really glad to have gotten this during the Read Now! Will definitely preorder and recommend to my friends. 🩷

Loved the vacation thing, that’s always a big favorite theme in books for me. I think our MC’s went from loathing eachother to being in love WAY too quick. Like overnight.. Otherwise, really cute romance!

Love Nisha’s story so much! Had a fantastic time reading this book & love the characters, the storyline and the chemistry between the two characters was wonderful! Tackling misogyny and issues that are exist in toxic environment - and finding your worth! A fav of this year and defintely a reread!

I loved this so much! Rivals to lovers is one of my favorite tropes and this was done so well. My only wish was that it was longer!! It was such a slow burn I just wanted more time with them happy.

"Not Safe for Work" by Nisha J. Tuli is a fun, steamy workplace romance that I couldn’t put down. Trishara, a biracial woman in STEM, and Rafe, the CEO’s son, are forced to share a room at a company retreat, leading to some seriously sizzling tension. The banter between the characters was top-notch, and while the slow-burn romance had me begging for more, Tuli’s steamy scenes didn’t disappoint.
I loved the BIPOC representation in STEM and how the book tackled real-world issues with humor. The pacing was perfect—no lulls—and I laughed out loud multiple times. The only downside was the overly idealistic ending, but overall, it’s a spicy, lighthearted read that I’d highly recommend for a fun, romance filled escape!

I will be making everyone I know read this when it comes out. I am obsessed with this book. I have been incapable of physically reading lately, but this had me HOOKED from the beginning to the end. When I had to put it down, Trishara and Rafe were all I could think about. The tension was chef's (or should I say baker's) kiss IYKYK. I loved everything about this book from the main characters, supporting characters, storyline, setting, and the NSFW parts.
Highly highly recommend!!

Not Safe for Work was truly amazing. I could not put it down. The characters had depth and were well written. It was a sloooooow burn, but SO worth the wait.
I felt ALL the emotions while reading this and loved every second of it.
BRB have to go binge read everything by Nisha Tuli now!

Thank you to NetGalley and Forever for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I really enjoyed this book! This was my first reading this author and I already ordered some of her romantasy books. I really enjoyed the writing
NSFW was a spicy and romantic trip and I loved seeing the main characters interact and slowly fall in love. I love reading about diverse characters and women in STEM and this book just ticked all my boxes.

I really enjoyed this book! As a woman in STEM, I definitely related to the FMC’s corporate experiences. Yes, it’s a bit of a slow burn, but the payoff is *chef’s kiss*; I loved the chemistry between the FMC & MMC. The FMC is so confident in herself, which was empowering to read.
I do think the setting was a little unrealistic - or maybe I’ve worked for the wrong corporate companies? - and I also found some of the FMC’s behavior more like that of a college student than a 30-something in a professional environment.
This would be a great vacation read!
Thank you to NetGalley and Forever for providing this eARC in exchange for an honest review.

NSFW was such a fun read! I'm not normally a huge contemporary romance girlie, but this was fantastic and the angst was insane. I especially loved Tris and how she always worked to get the respect she earned from those who would rather put her down.

Not Safe For Work - Nisha J. Tuli
Once again, Nisha has completely won me over with her lovable characters and immersive writing. As a romantasy reader first and foremost, I don’t typically gravitate toward Romance only books. I often find them lacking that extra something to keep me fully invested. However, this slow-burn romance where both characters are clearly obsessed with each other but too stubborn to admit it grabbed me from the very start. There were moments when I found myself genuinely giggling and kicking my feet, and others when I was yelling at my kindle, begging the characters to get their act together. If you’re a fan of the only one bed trope and love a good slow burn, you’ll devour this book.
As a woman working in a non-traditional role within a male-dominated industry (I’m an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer), it was incredibly refreshing to see this experience portrayed with such honesty and accuracy. Nisha has shared that this story is deeply personal to her and based on her own experiences as an engineer. Personally, I believe the only way to change the narrative in these fields is to talk about it, share these stories, and learn from them. So, thank you, Nisha, for sharing this part of your journey.
Thank you Nisha read forever pub and Netgalley for sharing this ARC with me, it was a joy to read.

If you love a good workplace rivals-to-lovers romance with tension so thick you could cut it with a knife, this book delivers in every way. Set against the backdrop of a work retreat, the slow-burn romance between Tris and Rafe is as frustrating as it is addictive—in the best way possible. Their banter, laced with snide jabs and unspoken desire, feels like foreplay, making every interaction between them charged with anticipation. And when that first kiss finally happens at 59%? Worth. The. Wait.
Tris can be a tough character to love at times, with her defensive walls and sharp edges, but Rafe’s patience and kindness balance her.
The book tackles some heavier topics like racism, sexism, mental health, and chronic illness. The author handles them with care. Despite these heavier themes, the overall vibe remains very rom-com, with plenty of cute, funny moments to balance the steam.

Not Safe for Work by Nisha J. Tuli is a raw and refreshing look into the challenges of being a woman in a male-dominated field. The protagonist, Tris, navigates the complexities of workplace dynamics, where her talent often gets overshadowed by her gender. Tuli masterfully showcases Tris’s inner strength and determination as she constantly fights for recognition and equality, all while struggling with when it’s time to let go of battles that are draining her. It’s a poignant reminder of the emotional toll that comes with wanting to prove yourself in a world that often seems set against you.
What I loved most about the book was the slow-burning chemistry between Tris and Rafe. Their banter was such a fun highlight, showing how humor can be a powerful tool in navigating deeper emotional connections. As their relationship unfolds, it’s clear that Tris demands more than just affection—she wants respect, honesty, and partnership, and Rafe rises to the challenge. The way they share their stories and open up to each other feels so authentic, and you can’t help but root for them. This book does an incredible job of blending work, love, and personal growth in a way that feels both real and inspiring.

Nisha J. Tuli honestly never misses. I was obsessed with her romantasy series and I was so excited to receive this as an ARC.
This book is so fast paced and so fun to read I couldn’t put it down. I really loved the FMC and as a fellow woman in stem she (and this entire book honestly) was super relatable to me.
One of my favorite lines in the author note was something along the lines of “you might think this is exaggerated and nobody would ever say something like that” AND THEY DO. I could’ve stood up and clapped.
Anyways I loved this and I think you should read it. Bye

4.5 ⭐️ this was such a fun and cute read!! I really enjoyed it! This has a great slow burn! They go on vacation together for work. She does not get involved with co-workers. I love an island romance and this would be such a fun read during the summer. The tension was amazing! Thank you so much to the author, Netgalley, and the publisher for providing this ARC. I can't wait for others to be able to read it!

I absolutely devoured this book. It was perfection, it was everything I wanted it to be (it also pulled me out of a gnarly reading slump, so thank you Nisha for that!!)
I am a devoted fan of rivals/enemies to lovers, especially when they're coworkers; and she thinks he hates her and there was obviously some stupid misunderstanding years ago that they're both hung up on!!! They're popular tropes because they hit the spot every time, people!
What I especially loved:
It was kinda a slow-burn (they only hooked up like around the 75% mark, which I looove!) - which really helped to build tension
It felt like they got over their differences in an organic way, just by being pushed together over 3 weeks
Forearms (we don't get enough drooling over arms in romance books these days)
Rafe is a creative guy (also a 12/10 hottie)
Tris is a woman of colour in STEM
It tackled some gross topics (racial microaggressions, misogyny in the workplace, sexual harrassment) pretty well - it toed the line of being present but not overwhelming the story, but it was discussed and handled (Tris' email at the end cracked me up)
I didn't love the 'ex-girlfriend' storyline, I thought it was a little annoying, but they needed some external conflict I guess.
I think fans of Ali Hazelwood, Tessa Bailey and Holiday in the Sun (iykyk) will absolutely love this book

This felt like a vacation getaway in a book!
A book where two co workers claim they hate one another but it’s really driven by secret infatuation. I enjoyed watching these two unravel their love for one another while the forced proximity gods pushed them together!! It was also so so refreshing to read about a main character who gets frequent migraines and has zero answers, as someone who has zero answers I felt SEEN. Nisha handled this romance with care, while diving into some very deep injustices in the workplace for women, especially women of color.
If you’re looking for a fun, quick, and thoughtful read… definitely pick this one up!!

If you crave a female lead that feels relatable and down-to-earth, then you are going to love following Tris in "Not Safe for Work."
She's an engineering genius who's been pushed aside for every bro at her office. Five years of brilliance and she's been passed up for every promotion. When her luck mysteriously changes and she is selected for a coveted corporate retreat, she questions her bosses motives. But she's determined to make the most of her semi-vacation and opportunity to impress upper leadership. There's just one problem - she can't stop fighting with her arch-nemesis Rafe. Who is also her boss' son. And her retreat roommate.
Rafe is a walking smirk and seems to give and good as he takes in his rivalry with Tris. But you can tell there's more to him, especially when he defends Tris multiple times. I was a little surprised at the forwardness between two coworkers but I guess there's no anti-fraternization policy in this engineering department. Following them through the team building exercises was entertaining, especially as them become more like chagrined friend. But the real shining moment for me was Rafe comforting her through her fears and opening up about his BIG secret (its cute!)
The biggest conflict was Tris and the sexist work culture she is smothered by. She finds her allies but she also has to take down some giants in a big way. The rest of the story delivers soothing reassurance and comfort. And will make you wish you were poolside in Hawaii too!

I am grateful to have gotten to read an arc for this book. This was a quick, fun read. I loved the main characters and their relationship. The tension and the banter between Rafe and Tris was top tier. I really loved that while the book was fun, it also dealt with serious topics that are relatable. I love that Nisha is writing romance, as I am a fan of her fantasy novels. I look forward to reading her next project

I loved every page of this spicy rom com! If you are a fan of Tessa Bailey you will eat this up! I’ve loved all of Nisha’s romantasy books and I knew this one would be great too! She is such a well rounded author and I thoroughly enjoyed reading her first rom com! Cant wait for more!!
