This book was very good following the previous one. I have no regrets and loved it so much I couldn't even put it down.

Overall I’d say this book was good as long as you’ve completed the first in the series, if not you WILL be lost. Definitely would recommend as a read but would’ve want to read it for a second time, which is why I rated it three stars. I do actually like that she falls in love with a ghost!
Thank you to Harbor Lane Books, LLC for the digital ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.

Unfortunately i couldnt finish this one as i did not read the first book and i understandably felt lost.
The storyline was unique (falling in love with ghosts) and interesting and i look forward to reading the first book and getting back into this one.

I absolutely loved this book!!! I finished it in one sitting but needed to wait a day to write my review.
Aoife "Fee" Gowdie is a Souler. She comes from a long line of women who are soulers, she just prayed and hoped that it would skip a generation like it did with her grandmother. Unfortunately for her, it didn't. Soulers are women who fall in love with ghosts who are stuck between death and living, called leathlings. She's destined to free him so he can live with her and have a life like her parents did.
Fee was so convinced that it skipped her generation until she was doing research in an old London theater from the 17th century when a ghost appeared along with her recently deceased mouse, Shakespeare. Then she promptly ran out of the theater in tears.
Gilbert "Gil" Sorley was murdered in that theater protecting a friend. He was born in the 1613 and has lived there since his death. All he's done since is watch plays and sleep, until Fee and her mouse came along. Now, he's never felt more alive.
But the problem is that the theater is going to be demolished and Fee needs to prove that it's a historical landmark to save Gil's home. But how can she without mentioning a ghost from the past is telling her where to find evidence? In the meantime, they fall in love and have an affair that she can't walk away from. With time running out, what will this couple do in the name of love?

This is the first book I’ve read by this author. I need to go back and read the first book. I thought the summary was really good. I was interested in the relationship dynamic. I really love ghost stories. I like the story, but I wasn’t as obsessed with it as I thought I would be. I think I was wanting a little something different. I would check out other books by this author.

I feel like you can’t really enjoy this story without reading the first book.
I found myself equal parts lost and fascinated.
I fully recommend reading the first book, if you don’t, you do yourself a disservice! I would have enjoyed this so much more if I was grounded within the story.
I almost feel like I can’t talk about this book with any authority because there were nuances I simply didn’t understand.
I loved the mains and they kept me reading despite not really understanding the stakes or the plot.
