Alright, this one might be my favorite. I cried, I laughed, I swooned, and I blushed. I love all three books in the Ruinous Love Trilogy, but S&S just hit different. Brynne Weaver is wickedly creative and hilarious. I never in a million years thought I’d enjoy reading books about serial killers that seem to have a knack for ruining certain foods, but here we are.

The epilogues and bonus chapters were exceptional. Dragons will forever make me giggle now.

*I was lucky enough to win an early audiobook and all opinions are my own.

Loved this story! I read the ARC back in the fall, but hearing it come to life was a whole other experience. Samantha Brentmoor and Eric Nolan are fantastic in this duet style narration. Fiona is my fav brother for sure.

I’m sobbing because it’s over but grateful for it happening. What a hell of a way to wrap up the ruinous love trilogy. Fionn, our (not so) soft baby doctor, and Rose, our vigilante tarot card reading badass are a match made in heaven. Their tension between one another was thick enough to cut with a knife and the spice was SPICING! The ending was everything I wanted and more! I can’t wait to listen to it again next month when the audiobook releases! Thank you so so SO much Brynne Weaver, Zando, and Netgalley for this ARC.

I can’t believe we’ve come to the end of this incredible series. I feel like this series kind of pioneered a newer genre in dark romcoms. Yes, I know they existed before, but B&B made them more widely known and made people want dark humorous love stories. Dare I say S&S was better than the first two? I had this same sentiment in my L&L review so they just keep getting better and better. I did love seeing the parallel timelines from Fionn and Rose’s POVs that we previously got in Rowan, Sloane, Lachlan, and Lark’s POVs. I loved the tarot and how a lot of Rose’s actions kind of surrounds around what her cards say, they’re a part of her and her personality. And Fionn the sweet, sweet soul he is. He falls so hard for our girl. And he tries to keep up with her, but she’s a wild one.

Can we please stand up and give a round of applause for Samantha and Eric? They did so freaking fantastic on this audio. It was absolutely incredible.

when I tell you this book is EVERYTHING I wanted.

It has the crazy murdery plot like BB and the romance, character development of LL, mixed with humor, spice and family.

Rose is hilarious in her quest to do right by women who have been hurt. She just can’t seem to get murder done easily. And Fionn is ALWAYS there to help her. No matter the consequences.

Their friendship, to lovers was such a breath of fresh air. It felt realistic, yet hopeful. The pining, the YEARNING. And the end omfg.

this is a story about loving the dark part of you and letting the person you love the most, see the darkness - and them loving you because of it. OBSESSED

5/5 no notes. the audiobook is simply perfect. the duet style, and actors did so well portraying rose and Fionn. I loved it so much.when I tell you this book is EVERYTHING I wanted.

Rose Evans has spent a decade on the road with Silveria Circus. She also indulges in a little unaliving as she moves town to town. When an incident goes wrong she ends up with a badly injured leg and is stuck in Nebraska with Dr Fionn Kane. Fionn has been hiding out in Nebraska trying to avoid relationships at all cost, but when Rose comes along he is so pulled towards her and determined to help her so she stays with him while she’s recovering from her injury. They grow closer and despite Fionn’s relationship avoidance he can’t seem to stay away from Rose for long.

Ahhhh omg this was SO good!! This was one of my most anticipated releases for 2025 and it did not disappoint! Rose and Fionn are so perfect omg I love them 😍! Their story was exactly what I hoped it would be! It was fun and flirty and such a good friends to lovers romance! I loved both of their quirks and how they just fit together so well. They needed each other and it was so great to see them both finally have that love that they both craved. I also adored how this book tied together all 3 books in the ruinous love series! If you’ve been a fan of this series you will love how this book finishes it off! Everything was just perfect and the epilogues omg I love!!

The audiobook was amazing, as were all the audios for this series. Samantha Brentmoor and Eric Nolan were perfect narrators for Rose and Fionn! Thank you so much Brynne Weaver, Slowburn, and Zando for letting me read this one early! I absolutely LOVED it!!! 🧡

Well, here we are. We have made it to the final book of the Ruinous Love Trilogy and my heart is in its bittersweet feels for this.

Samantha Brentmoor is absolutely phenomenal!! She is without a doubt one of the most multifaceted narrators of our time and having the honor to listen to her bring characters to life is such a blessing! I struggle with aphantasia and not being able to see the world described in our books, but the richness to her voice and the layers in her performances never fail to bring the performance to the next level. Rose was amazing but her as every character was without miss. Eric was amazing, as always, but I will always praise my girls, no shade. The industry and other bookish girlies will swoon over him enough. I adore Eric, but I will always hype the girls more. <3

Like the previous books, this is told in a first-person dual POV. Rose is a fireball and I love her and her chaos so much! Fionn is a man who has gone through some stuff and he has a journey he needs to take. Their path to accepting love is not a perfect one, but it is a healing one.

Rose is traveling through town with the circus, this also provides her an avenue for identifying her next victims. Much like Sloane and Lark, Rose is a serial deleted ;P She absolutely marches to the beat of her own drum and is fiercely independent. I love her so much! She is not interested in love or settling down, but she thinks Fionn is hot and they do have chemistry.

Fionn is the town doctor, running a clinic. He meets Rose when she is injured after some of her less-than-above-board activities. He is enthralled, but because of his past, there is hesitation. There is no harm in just hooking up, right? FWB is manageable.

Due to the nature of this book, especially, it really was healing, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to have read it.
