This book had a lot of wisdom nuggets in it. It read more as a scientific paper than a book which made it a challenge to read. I skimmed through some of the research and examples but was still able to take many realizations that I will be able to pass onto my children to help them be aware of God in all moments and aspects of their lives. Sacred Parenthood stands out in a wide variety of Christian parenting books, offering a fresh perspective that is full of wisdom and sound theology. The authors honest examples from their own lives really solidify the points being made and I appreciate that the why behind the practices encouraged come from a place of biblical foundation. This is a talented team of spouses coming from a place of life long learning and being honest about when they fail. It is a beautifully written book.

I would have appreciated a look at discipline actions and practices to correspond to this approach of emotionally approaching children. Too often the examples ended before a clear look at follow up or when the approach was unsuccessful and I would have appreciated this authors perspective because it, at times, feels incomplete.

Overall, highly recommend this for all parents.
