21 days is perfect for Theo and Bianca.
She is an heiress that needs a protector from abductions to compromise her.
Theo is in difficult spiral and much beholden to Mrs Dove Lyons.
He agrees to guard her for 21 days in the country.
She agrees to propose to him after 21 days.
But it gets complicated as they wrestle with their emotions.
A couple of surprises but a HEA.
Enjoyable and fun read.

21 Days with the Lyon by Shana Galen

Short quick easy to read romance that has Bessie the Black Widow finding the perfect man and woman to marry and live happily ever after together.

What I liked:
* Bianca: beautiful, kind, generous, hounded by fortune hunters, survived more than one kidnapping attempt, wants to leave the city and settle down with a husband
* Theophile Filliol: 4th son, ex-soldier, depressed, in dept, feels he’s a failure, guarding Bianca, protective, caring, falls for Bianca
* Kitty: Biana’s older sister, abrasive, scares men off, might have a future with her neighbor
* Bianca’s father: loving, kind, wants what is best for his daughters
* Bessie: owns the Lyons Den, matchmaker, wise, intriguing
* That it was an easy read without too much drama
* The plot was simple and easy to read
* That the couple did find happiness with one another

What I didn’t like:
* The numpties that wanted to kidnap and force marriage on Bianca
* That there wasn’t a little bit more depth to the story

Did I enjoy this book? Yes
Would I read more by this author? Perhaps

Thank you to NetGalley and Dragonblade for the ARC – This is my honest review.

I love the Lyon’s Den series of books and really enjoy Shana Galen’s books so this was read with great anticipation and it did not disappoint. Bianca and Theo felt an immediate connection due to their own experiences with loss. This is a forced proximity trope with just enough adventure thrown in to keep it a fast-paced read. It’s short so you won’t want to put it down as you fall in love with Theo. Fun easy read!

We met Bianca in the authors short story in A Duke by Any Other Name her story that was a taming of the shrew (10 things I hate about you) retelling. We did not know much about Bianca in that story other than men wanted her dowery and were willing to do anything to get it. We see Kitty and Edmund from that story in this novella as well, and I like Kitty a lot more with this added color. Edmund adds some unexpected OM drama but I eat that UP! So thank you Edmund. Bianca was really quite delightful. She is the supposed to be opposite of Kitty but really I think they were both very similar just expressed themselves differently. While Kitty was loud, Bianca did it quietly. Cause really Bianca didn't do anything she didn't want to she just did without raising her voice. Her dog, also very cute.. Theo poor him honestly. He has a lot of guilt and anger at himself over events that happened during his time in the army and after. He has been taking it on himself and he hasn't found it in himself to forgive himself. I do think he was easier to "love" than the men in Misfortune's Favorites series. The story of his friend and his son, very sad. I shed a few tears ( I am a crier so I don't judge myself).

I also like that the bedroom scenes did not feel forced in this short story, they made sense where they were placed.

Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

Another wonderful addition to the Lyons' Den series. A twist on the typical Bessie Dove-Lyon matchmaking scheme, but it is a scheme. Bianca Featherswallow has 21 days to convince Theophile Filliol to marry her. She is an heiress and has been abducted several times that her father wants to arrange a marriage to keep her safe. BDL's solution is arranging the protector of her choosing and Bianca must propose to him.. .

Galen shares new tidbits of the Lyons' Den and Bessie Dove-Lyon. It's a quick read, with a early twist I did not expect. Finding love, yourself- worth and love. Seeing each other in a new light and knowing you'll be good together. I loved the sister, Kitty. Hard hearted, but I'm sure we'll find out why in her own story.

A quick and banter filled read. Sweet, slightly passionate and very romance filled novel. It was nice to sit and read about these two characters journey to love and each other. The protective male was on point for this type of plot.

A Short Delightful Romance Story"
This story for me was an enjoyable, emotional short read that could have been outstanding.
Bianca and Theo were delightful characters. Their desire for one another was simmering
The plot shows just how desperate men can be to marry for money.
There is a very heartfelt confession from Theo that grabbed at my heart.
For a Lyons' Den story this one seemed fairly low key for me. Oh, there is one good scene of passion but when the ending came it really fizzled out and left me somewhat disappointed. A ho-hum ending when it could have been terrific.
.Book Rating 3.5 round up to 4.

Loved reading the wonderfully written romance story. Bianca has twenty-one days to convince Theo to marry her, but Theo doesn't feel he is worthy enough to be with Bianca. Read the highly recommended, and a must read riveting love story.

What happens with Bianca in TOTS? Well, Shana let’s us know, her version. I laughed out loud at some parts of the story. Bless her heart, Bianca. You will need to read to find out. This is really a kind and sweet story. It was just the story I needed and if you need an uplifting story, buy it and feel good.

Such a delight to read, I was quickly immersed in the story and adored Bianca and Theo's journey to finding love. What's not to like when a jaded former soldier with emotional trauma becomes protector to a desperate heiress fighting off fortune hunters. Written with a good mix of emotion and humour. They have wonderful banter, great chemistry while falling in love along the way.

I instantly fell in love with this charming novella by Shana Galen. Theo and Bianca are a likeable and entertaining couple who have great chemistry and a believable story. 21 Days with the Lyon is part of the Lyon's Den Connected World. You don't need to read. the other books in the connected world to enjoy this novella. Bianca and Theo meet each other under desperate circumstances. Bianca needs a husband and Theo needs to pay off his debts to Mrs. Dove-Lyon’s, the proprietress of the Lyon's Den. He agrees to become Bianca's bodyguard, and she sets her sights on Theo becoming her husband. The couple must first navigate obstacles both from the past and present before they arrive at their happily-ever-after.

Thank you NetGalley. Bianca is in London for the season with her father and older sister. Young men keep trying to abduct her but they are stopped each time. Her father goes to the Lyon's Den trying to find her a husband and thinking these young men will leave her alone then. Theo owes the Lyon's Den money and his father has thrown him out. He is to take Bianca back to the country for 21 days and be her protector. That works for awhile. Theo has things from the war that keeps him from being the person he should be.

I have always been a big fan of Shana Galen. She writes fun and romantic historicals.... This is another terrific one.

Bianca must convince her bodyguard Theo to marry her in 3 weeks or she'll fall prey to fortune hunters after her dowry. Theo feels he is a failure and doesn't deserve anyone....

Love Bianca and Theo together. Terrific chemsitry. Bianca is likable and easily the best thing about the book. Love the romance...

Thanks to the publisher for the arc.

An enjoyable story where once again Mrs. Dove-Lyon manages to orchestra a love match and as usual there are bumps along the way. I loved both Theo and Bianca and was glad to see them get their HEA. The story is well written and very entertaining. I also loved the short appearance of her sister, Kitty. Their story is worth reading and will not disappoint.

This story in the Lyons Den Connected World series was a delightful and captivating love story. It was filled with drama, action, humor, wit, intrigue, danger, and so many emotional issues, and plot twists and turns that kept me very entertained. I enjoyed the chemistry, emotional depth, romance, and passionate love that came to be. I highly recommend reading!

Tropes: marriage wager; MMC is a bodyguard for MFC
Steam level: 3
Part of a series but works on its own.

3.25 stars. I like Shana Galen's writing style but this wasn't for me. The characters lacked depth and the set-up was just too far-fetched. The tone was overall modern rom-comish and lightweight, although I did feel some sympathy for the wounded-warrior MMC toward the end. The MFC was just too sheltered and TSTL in places for me to take her seriously. The scenes with the sister Kitty are OTT, but I think I might have liked a book with her and the MMC instead.

The steam felt a bit shoehorned in.

If you are looking for an entry in this series that is modern and lightweight in tone you might like this one.

Still grieving the loss of his best friend in the war, Theo goes on a gambling and drinking spree that has his father disowning him. When he builds up a considerable debt in the Lyon's Den, Mrs. Dove-Lyon tells him he needs to do him a favor. Heiress Bianca has been abducted three times by men who are desperate for her dowry. Theo must accompany Bianca to her country estate and then stay and protect her for 21 days. While together they find they have many shared interests. Can Theo protect her by making the biggest sacrifice of all? I received an ARC from NetGalley and Dragonblade Publishing for my honest review.

Very excited to see a new Shana Galen book. The premise sounded exciting so I picked this up. I found the story to be fast-paced and filled with passion and danger.

The two MCs are very likable. Bianca needs a husband and Theo is her bodyguard. I do love a bodyguard romance so this was right up my alley. Bianca and Theo were very sweet. I liked their chemistry a lot and thought they were a fun pairing. They were also quite passionate!

A lot is happening in the story so the reader is never bored. There's drama, action, humor and some mystery.

A fun read!

Bianca and Theo were sweet together. She just wants to be safe and have some control over whom she marries. He is broken from the war and swimming in guilt and grief. But Biancas' sweet nature breaks every insecurity that Theo has, and slowly and steadily, they fall in love in 21 days. For a short novel, this was an interesting read focused on the 2 main characters.

Bianca Featherswallow is prey to fortune hunters who are eager to abduct her for her dowry. So along with her father they visit The Lyon’s & Bianca’s given three weeks to persuade her bodyguard to marry her Theophile Filliol, younger son of an earl is hired as her protector. He’s literally been gambling and drinking for weeks to forget the failures of his past. Considering the debt he’s racked up, he can’t ignore Mrs. Dove-Lyon’s orders to play bodyguard to Bianca.
Another delightful novella in this connected series. I loved the shy Bianca & Theo who had lost his self esteem, they were perfect for each other. I loved their journey to a HEA, their chemistry sizzled, the banter was witty & there were unexpected twists & turns. I devoured it in a sitting
I voluntarily read and reviewed a special copy of this book; all thoughts and opinions are my own
