This book took me by total surprise. Its under the Christian genre so I was expecting a ho-hum story about a good girl gone bad; and although I was correct in one sense (girl gone bad) this tale was FAR from ho-hum.

Fallen follows the author's true account of how she discovered and entered the world of escorts/prostitution and addiction and then her path to redemption. Ms. Lobert goes into countless detail about her experiences and the many abuses that she endured while she was involved in the sex industry. How terrifying it was for me to discover how easily a young person looking for validation can be tricked (for lack of a better word) into "the life" being lured by fast money and parties and such.

I hate the fact that this woman had to experience such trauma but she turned the experience around and in the end wrote a very compelling memoir of redemption that is sure to serve as an effective cautionary tale.
