The audiobook adaptation of “Little Blue Truck Makes a Friend” is a delightful listening experience. Narrator Eric Dove brings tons of energy to the story, making it engaging for young listeners. His expressive narration enhances the book’s gentle rhymes and upbeat message about kindness, friendship, and welcoming new faces. The sound effects, including cheerful truck noises and animal sounds, add an extra layer of fun. Perfect for car rides, classroom listening stations, or to play while you hold the physical book for a read aloud. A must-have for any preschool/kindergarten classroom or school library!

Little Blue Truck makes a friend is such a wonderful and cute story. Being able to let families know about this wonderful audio version of a favorite character is one of my favorite things about spring 2025.

Schertle adds another winning entry to her Little Blue Truck series. Preschoolers may identify with the farm animals fear of meeting someone new as Little Blue Truck picks up his farm friends and goes off to meet and greet their new neighbor. Making new friend can indeed cause anxiety and Schertles snappy verse is just the ticket.
The audiobook narrator Oliver Wyman is terrific.

Making new friends can be a very scary situation for kids, along with being the new kid in the neighborhood where everyone already is bonded together. I enjoyed the narration and how the emotions came through throughout the story, even with it being only a couple minutes this story does a wonderful job getting the point of the story.

Another great audio book of Little Blue Truck. In addition to the narration, the sound effects are perfect and bring this sweet little book to life!
