I am a die-hard fan of paranormal romance and you better believe I ate this book up! Aurora Ascher has such a witty writing style and voice that you can't help, but laugh at every page. The characters are all-around lovable and snarky, which is definitely a plus to any story (at least, in my opinion). The romance between the characters was also very tender and light-hearted. Their personalities were polar opposites, yet the chemistry was scorching hot. This was an overall fun, quick, and swoony-worthy read! I would highly recommend this book if you are in the mood for a fast-paced paranormal romance read with hilarious characters.

I'm still new to this genre of book haven't really read much that crossed the line of being human, but I read the first book in the series, and it got my attention, I wanted to know more, and this book still kept my attention. I will be continuing on in the series, I need to finish it out.

Firstly I would like to say thank you for sending me the arc for this book.
I liked the plot of this book overall the start of it was a bit slow but that's expected when its doing world building etc, got to understand or picture what you're visioning. ,
I enjoyed the world building and following the story along, I liked the multi povs and the characters all presented in the book.
I loved that this fantasy book reminded me of a few others I have read not in a bad way but as in it got me hooked in and then I was flying through it like no tomorrow!
Will definitely be recommending to my friends to read when its out.

This book was highly entertaining and very well written. I hate to say it. I enjoyed it more than the first. The banter was epic. The relationship with Mist and lily was epic. Slightly jealous actually. I adored the banter between the demons. Can’t wait for the rest of the series to be released.

Look, sometimes you just want a book that delivers exactly what the title promises—demons, hunters, and a whole lot of unhinged tension. And My Demon Hunter? Oh, it delivers.
This book is basically what happens when you take a reluctant-but-powerful protagonist, throw in a bunch of hot (and possibly morally questionable) demon brothers, add some laugh-out-loud banter, and crank up the heat until your Kindle starts sweating. It’s a perfect mix of action, spice, and a “Wait, am I the bad guy?” identity crisis.
If you love steamy paranormal romances that don’t take themselves too seriously but still give you all the tension, drama, and oh-no-there’s-only-one-bed moments you crave, this one is for you.

Aurora Ascher has got me addicted to this series. I continue to see why this series was picked up by a major publisher. My Demon Hunter is the second book in the Hellbent series and is the story of Mist and Lil,y.
Now we met Mist in this first book and now all we know is that he wants free from Hell. Branded to a Queen of hell, all Mist wants it to find a woman for himself and to live his out the rest of his life. Lily is a Blood Born witch. Rare she and her sister are from Ireland and she really doesn’t want to have anything to do with the coven. She will leave that to her sister. But when she visits the corner store, the dep (this is a new term for me), she see a strikingly handsome man.
This gave me a lot of the feel so the first book but also with a little bit more adventure. While each of the books has its own story for the couples each book has an over arching plot being told throughout the books so these books do need to be read in order. Looking for what I am in store for next it looks like IRIS is up… and I’m actually really excited for her!!! It is nice to see that we are getting the other twin that we meet in this book in further books and as a FMC. If the trend continues and she threw the little twists in the next book like she did in this Aurora Ascher is going to have me eating out of the palm of her hand.
Thank you Kensington Publishing and netgalley for the advance reader copy in exhchange for an honest review!

We met Mist in the first book of this series, where he decided he wanted a human female for himself. So he has decided to stay and hang out with the 4 brothers (Belial, Meph, Raum, and Ash) to find himself a human (not a pet).
As Mist is out getting ice cream for Eva one evening, he comes across a human female that smells extremely good. Being the hunter, smell is a huge part of his existence, and someone who smells as good as Lily does, is something he cannot ignore. Lily never expected to be pursued by such an attractive guy that she ran into in a convenience store, but there he is in the middle of the night leaving her a letter...
I have to say while I enjoyed book 1, I liked this book like ten times better, and that is saying a lot, because I really enjoyed book 1. Mist and Lily's relationship is just so crazy, chaotic, and wonderful.
I felt that Lily's character is so relatable, chastising herself for buying sweets late at night, because she should be worried about her weight. Don't we all feel that way at some point, guilty for eating things that taste good? I enjoyed how Lily pushes herself out of her comfort zone and her self consciousness about her body, basically saying F it, this Mist guy is too hot to let escape.
Mist is this demon, who has existed for thousands of years, and here he is trying to figure out how to talk to a human. It is amusing, and I laughed out loud multiple times from the things Mist says and his personality. He also exhibits self-consciousness that he too breaks free from by the end of the story.
This book has humor, spice, spice, spice, anguish, grief, lots of action, strong FMC, protective MMC, and was almost impossible to put down at bed time (only my fatigue won out). I highly reccomend!
Fav Quotes:
"For example, if he wanted a human friend - they were called "friends," not pets - it wasn't as easy as picking one out from a crowd, though he still thought it ought to be."
"A dark possessiveness unlike anything he'd felt before filled him, and, had anyone tried to take her in that moment, he knew he'd be capable of a level of violence that transcended anything he'd done in the past."
"He needed to make it very clear to every single living being that if anyone, anyone, tried to take what was his, they would die begging for mercy they would not receive."
"Of course I will. You know I'll follow you anywhere. Even to the pits of Hell."
"Mine."
Thank you to Netgalley, Kensington, and Aurora Ascher for a review copy of this book!

More spicy fun.
Sophisticated? Heck no. Entertaining? Heck yes. Will I continue with the series? More than likely.
Belial's story is the one I am really waiting for.

Yall I didn’t think I could enjoy a second book in a series more than the first. However, “My Demon Hunter” did just that.
When Mist was introduced in the first book I knew his story was going to be great. And Aurora Ascher did not disappoint. Mist is a misunderstood demon that just wants freedom. He got to watch Ash find his demon happily ever after and now he wants to reach for his own. And yes before anyone says anything I know how corny that just was but I really don’t care. This series has made me fall in love with these redeemable anti-hero demons. I will follow this found family of demons through fictional hell if I have to.
Anyway back to Mist's story. I knew his backstory was going to be rough. But man it worse than I could ever imagine. My heart truly broke for him. Thankfully our awkward sweet demon boy found Lily. Lily is our MFC and quite literally the definition of adorkable. And to top it off she’s just like all of us she’s struggling with self doubt. I loved Lily even more so than Eva from book one. While Eva was outgoing, Lily is more introverted and relatable.
Mist and Lily as a couple grabbed me from the first moment they met. Their first interaction together is seriously one of the best meet-cute scenes I’ve ever read in a book. I won’t say anything more because I want everyone to experience it for themselves. Overall, their relationship developing throughout the book was truly beautiful. I loved watching their growth and acceptance of each other and themselves.
I think my only complaint was the ending and that’s more of a personal how dare it be ended on a cliffhanger. However, I’m excited for the next book in the series and I can’t recommend this series enough. If you do decide to check it out (which you should 😉) Please read My Demon Valentine first. This is an interconnected world building and if you read out of order it may not make sense.
Lastly big thank you to NetGalley & Kensington Publishing for providing me an arc to read and review!

Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Publishing for allowing me an advanced e-copy! All thoughts and feelings are, as always, my own.
Coming from My Funny Demon Valentine, I wasn’t expecting to like this even more- but I certainly did. While getting to see the former main cast, the new perspective you get from both the leads is refreshing and just as- if not more- rewarding to read through. The development between Meph and Lily is sweet, and honestly? For a character-driven romance, the plot is solid. As with the last book, there’s a fair bit of spice- but it all runs together incredibly well. There was nothing I didn’t like- but that final chapter? Hello? And now I have to wait for the third?
I struggle to read on a screen (hence I prefer physical books), but it was worth it 100%. Once again thank you to Kensington & NetGalley for the opportunity to read this!

This book was so fun...I read it in one sitting. Mist was such a marshmallow for Lily. I liked that there was adventure and suspense, not just romance.

Oh my god, I finished this in one day. I absolutely fell in love with Iris & Lily. The demons are my favorite and the premise is just getting better & better with the next one. The spice 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 I will own physical copies of this whole series and I cannot wait to read the next one. Thanks to netgalley, the publisher author for the ARC.

My Funny Demon Valentine was my first try at reading Ascher's work and I was hooked into the world she's built immediately. My Demon Hunter was just as good if not better. I love that we get a completely different perspective while still getting to spend time with characters we've already grown to know and love. Seeing Mist work through his trauma and Lily work past her insecurities to come together was really wonderful, and the ending has me too ready to read the next one. Amazing!

A lighted-hearted book with lots of insta-love. I'm not sure I would continue with the series, but fans of quirky paranormal romance would enjoy this one. I also love the positive body representation.

My Demon Hunter is the second book in the Hell Bent series that follows Mist a demon hunter that is looking to be free of his chains to Hell. Mist is slowly learning how to be human when he meets Lily Donovan, young woman that wants nothing to do with her family's coven of witches. Lily never took any interest in witchcraft unlike her twin sister Iris. When Lily see's Mist in his true form she should be scared but she is not. Now Lily needs her sister Iris's help in order to save Mist from the depths of Hell before it is too late. Like the first book in the series My Funny Demon Valentine, My Demon Hunter is filled with laughs and what true friends will do for each other. I can't wait for the third book in this series. I would like to thank both NetGalley and Kensington Publishing for letting me read an advance copy of this book.

I absolutely loved My Funny Demon Valentine and was so excited to see this one was available to request. Mist and Lilys chemistry was off the charts and I just LOVED this. Mist is my absolute favorite.

I.....read this in one sitting while sick. Solid 3.5 for me and I cannot wait for the next one.
This kicks off right after Eva's and Ash's story and we get to see some of the aftermath of Mist's arrival and interaction with the family. He hilariously fits right in and is smitten by the first human he approaches. -insert squeal- His awkward interactions and fascination with the world is hilariously and I loved the moments between him and Eva. She treats him like a little brother, although he's so much older than her.
<spoilers> I found it cool that Lily turned out to be a witch but her being able to perform so much magic after years of non-use did have me quirking an eyebrow. Besides that, this volume had the same kind of heist and capture plot as the first one. Lily and Iris are badasses and I really hope we get to see the coven get more active and stronger with some demon knowledge. Things are for sure going to ramp up in the next volume!
Is it just me or is Eva's mother going to get matched with Raum?? And Belial with Eva's bestfriend?
</spoilers>
I really enjoy this series. It doesn't take itself too seriously and manages to add in insta love, some smut scenes, action, and fluffy endings.
Thanks so much to NetGalley and Kensington Publishing for the ARC!
