The second installment of the Hell Bent series is a wonderful addition that enriches the narrative. It was enjoyable to reunite with familiar and endearing characters, while also being introduced to a captivating new love story featuring Mist and Lily. The humor, emotional depth, and romantic tension were all exceptionally well-crafted.

Lily, a plus-size woman with secret powers as a witch, and Mist, a demon whose awkwardness in human form leads to delightful interactions, share an engaging dynamic that is both charming and entertaining. Their chemistry is a perfect blend of sweetness and intensity, making their relationship particularly appealing.

This series consistently offers themes of camaraderie, humorous moments, and characters that resonate as relatable and genuine. The narrator skillfully brings the characters to life, enhancing the reading experience. The combination of paranormal romance, intricate world-building, and compelling character development positions this book as a highly recommended read.

No notes, give me 1000 more of this! I absolutely loved this book. Demon cinnamon rolls get me all the time and Mist was 1000000% a growly possessive one. I really enjoyed Lily's journey to badassery and I'm super excited to see where her and Iris' story is going.

Thank you Netgalley and Kensington publishing for the ARC. All comments are my own.

This was so great! I loved the characters, the spice was so good, and the story is fun and engaging. The MMC especially is my favourite type sort of feral but also an absolute sweetheart

Oh I am all about this series!

Demon romance with found family, magic & mischief?! Irresistible.

The whole plot was so fun. Lily & Mist went through a lot to be together but hey what’s a few trips to hell between lovers?

Can’t wait for the next one!

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher & Aurora Ascher of course.

This was a fantastic follow up to My Funny Demon Valentine and at times it was so lol funny?
I loved that this book didn't focus on the four demons that escaped but rather the hunter. The story flows really well and I couldn't put it down. I will definitely continue this series as the following books come out!

I received an ARC of this title from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own and were not affected by the free copy.

Mishetsumephtai has been enslaved to an evil demon queen for millennia, but he's finally ready to try and break free. Lily is trying to run from her past. Together, maybe they both can find what they need.

I adored Mist and Lily's story. Mist was such an awkward, sweetheart of a duck, and Lily was so realistically portrayedm with all of her self-consciousness and introvertedness. I loved watching them both find themselves, andf I LOVE an accidental heroine save the man (demon) in distress.

The pacing was pretty good, there were never any parts that felt like they dragged, though occassionally we rushed through some things. I think I ended up enjoying this book more than the first.

I will definitely be continuing the series. I recommend this series for any fans of romance, paranormal, and found families.

Aurora Ascher has done it again! This book was just as good as the first book in the series, if not slightly better! Mist and Lily are both such lovable characters with a common enemy. There is love, family, wrath, lust, friendship, everything to make an enticing story! I need book 3! 😍

This was a fun mix of action, romance, and the supernatural. The story follows a demon hunter in a dangerous, otherworldly world, with great characters and solid world-building. It sticks to some familiar tropes but still keeps things exciting and fast-paced—perfect for fans of paranormal romance and spicey content.

This book was very fun! I really enjoyed the plot that this book followed, and I was never bored while I was reading and listening.

The main characters, both having some paranormal abilities, helped me get into the story much quicker than it normally takes me to get into more paranormal/monster romances. I really enjoyed how they both were portrayed as separate, whole people with their own interest and lives rather than being partial characters that then complete each other.

My only issue was that the smut always seemed to happen quickly and suddenly and kind of interrupted the flow of the book, but it was well written, so I will let that slide.

Thank you to Kensington for the ARC and ALC!

Following the reprint of My Funny Demon Valentine in January, Aurora Ascher‘s second Hell Bent novel, My Demon Hunter, is out today. Here, instead of focusing on one of the four “brother” demons escaped from Hell, it follows the hunter sent to find them and his decision to find a human pet—ahem, girlfriend. Mist ends up with Lily, a powerful former witch who might hold the keys to his freedom.

Why I Chose This Book:
My Funny Demon Valentine was such a fun read, and I couldn’t wait to continue the series. Mist (Mishetsumephtai) was introduced in the first book, and he’s even more clueless on how to interact with humans than the other demon brothers. I knew My Demon Hunter would be another funny, escapist read.

What I Liked:
- Hilarious demon-human interactions. At the beginning, Mist doesn’t understand a lot abut people or how to talk to them. For starters, he refers to girlfriends as pets. He doesn’t get the point of movies, he’s not sure how to buy ice cream at the store, and he doesn’t see the purpose of phones. This makes for some silly conversations when he first meets Lily.
- Lily is so shy! She’s an introvert with lots of self-doubt, and I love how she comes into herself throughout the book. Mist raises her self-confidence, but she ultimately becomes the savior here, which I really loved.
- Mist is so sweet! After years enslaved and forced to hunt other demons, he just wants to be free and find some happiness. He’s new to it all, but I love how he treats Lily and eventually comes to see his own self-worth.
- Demon interactions. While their conversations with humans are funny, I also love seeing the demons talking to each other. They’re so playful, rude, angry… just silly, brotherly interactions all around. They feature slightly less here than in the first book (Mist isn’t one of the four brothers, after all), but they show up enough and are always a highlight.

What Didn’t Work for Me:
- It all unfolds so fast! This book leans into instalove and a rapid timeline. I would have liked if there was more time for Mist and Lily’s relationship to develop before the Hellish drama started.

Final Thoughts
My Demon Hunter picks up right where the first novel left off, bringing those demons back for more while also introducing Lily and a few other characters (who will appear more in later books). Mist and Lily are so cute together, and I love how theirs turns into a story of rescue and unbreakable connection. It all goes by so fast, but this book is equal parts fun and full of heart.

The Hell Bent series will continue to be republished by Kensington this year, and you can bet I’ll be reading all of it! Meph and Iris get their story in Demon with Benefits, out this July, with Guardian Demon and Beauty and the Demon set to follow after that. Stay tuned for those reviews!

I didn't expect to enjoy this one quite as much but I am really loving Ascher's Demon romantasy series that features a different cursed 'monster' as they find their mates and battle different kinds of evil and curses. The sex was SPICY (hello tail play!) and the bond between the twin sisters was great. I can't wait for Iris's story next! Good on audio and perfect for fans of authors like Katee Roberts or Ruby Dixon. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early audio and digital copy in exchange for my honest review!

✨Happy Pub Day to author Aurora Ascher 🥳

My Demon Hunter - the Sequel to My funny Demon Valentine in the Hell Bent Series just published today. WOW! What a sequel!

When two worlds collide and the stars align we are met with a Demon Romance I couldn’t stop listening to! Mist & Lily had me captivated from chapter one to the end of the book! Just your average demon trying to escape his life of servitude meeting a non practicing blood born witch & their shenanigans. We’ve all heard the term - “to Hell & back” - well, I guess you’ll have to read this one to see just what character did in fact go to hell and back. Oh and his Tail - I guess you’ll have to pick up this one today to know more about that too 😉 🔥

I do highly recommend listening or reading book one first. I admittedly picked up book one because the edges were stunningly beautiful. The story kept me engaged and looking forward and craving MORE!!! Can’t wait to own a physical copy of book two real soon now that it’s in stores!

If you like books with any of the following this book is definitely for you:
✨paranormal romance
✨swoon worthy hero
✨witty banter
✨”touch her and die” trope
✨found family
✨demon x witch

A huge thank you to RB Media, Kensington Publishing & NetGalley for my ALC and e-ARC of My Demon Hunter! I enjoyed this immersive read so much and look forward to continuing this series. As far as the narration it was good but a dual narration would have made it top tier!

This book was so much fun. It featured a reluctant witch and sweet demon. I couldn’t put it down. I loved all the characters and can’t wait for more books featuring more of the demons. THE DEMON HUNTER was fun, spicy, and a great story. I’d recommend it for paranormal lovers that like a little humor with their romance. This book kept me entertained from start to finish and I can’t wait for the next book.

I received an arc copy of this books and I'm so glad I did. The characters are well written and funny especially the side characters. I was able to relate to the fmc a lot and over all the book was well written and I really enjoyed it! I look forward to reading more from this Author!

This is the second in the series and I was pleasantly surprised that it was Mist's story. He interested me the little bit I saw of him in the first book. I ended up enjoying this one more than the first though! From the very beginning Mist had me giggling with how he was trying to understand the "humans". I really enjoyed his and Lily's relationship and how they both helped each other with different things. Don't let me forget about the spice.... good LORD it got hot.

I'm really looking forward to the third book and wondering who it will be.

After reading Demon with Benefits I had to go back and read this one. Loved it also. Can’t wait to see where the rest of the books in this series go, I’m enjoying my time with the Demons.

I was excited to dive into My Demon Hunter, and while it wasn’t quite as good as the first book in the series, it was still an enjoyable read. Mist’s journey was fun, though I didn’t find it as compelling as Ash's. That said, there were still plenty of entertaining moments throughout.

One thing I struggled with was the constant shifts in perspective. While these shifts helped flesh out certain parts of the plot, they ended up feeling more distracting than helpful. I think the transitions could’ve been smoother to improve the overall flow of the story.

Additionally, the romance felt rushed. One minute the characters have just met, and the next, they’re professing their love. That being said, I still did enjoy the romance between Lily and Hunter. Their dynamic was sweet, and I liked their chemistry. Overall, My Demon Hunter is still worth reading, but it didn’t quite measure up to the first book in the series.

P.S. Demon smut is probably not my thing.

A big thank you to NetGalley for providing the ARC!
