Kind-hearted Mister Norton will do ANYTHING for his animal pals, but sometimes, enough is ENOUGH!
This is a wacky cumulative tale that would make a simply delightful read-aloud. Kids should be howling by the end of the book. Corey Egbert's wonderful illustrations only add to the fun.

Netgalley ARC - a fun read-a-loud book! simple and sweet, not much more to it. Would perhaps be improved by more of a reason why he suddenly becomes okay with all the animals.

Mother of two here, and we loved Mister Norton’s New Hat! My kids and I loved the silliness of this story as Mr. Norton wakes up to a new animal each day of the week. Anything with animals is a big hit in our household! Huw Lewis Jones created such a fun atmosphere, my children didn’t want this book to end! The illustrations, by Corey Egbert, are beautiful and make the book a 10 out 10 for us. This book reminded us of one of our favorites, A Sick Day for Amos McGee by Philip C. Stead. We enjoyed guessing which animal Mister Norton would discover next and where he would find them! This book was a hit with both my 8yo and 5yo. I would definitely recommend this to another family!
Thank you to NetGalley and Tiger Tales for this eARC!

Thank you to NetGalley and Publisher Spotlight for the eARC!
This was super cute! The art style was beautiful. There’s a lot of repetition with the animals throughout the book which is fun and engaging for a lot of younger students. I’m a school-based SLP and would happily use this book for language activities!

This is a super cute picture book that was perfect to read with my four-year-old daughter. The illustrations were bright and fun and the story was fun to read aloud, with rhymes and tongue-twisters. The story and pictures made my daughter and myself giggle as we read (and read again). On top of being fun to read, the story focuses on friendship, kindness, types of animals and the days of the week—all things that help my daughter learn. Excited to read this again and again.

So much fun! The illustration style is so lively and full of movement and color, and the story is also very sweet. A very cheerful little picture book, and one that I could very easily see using for storytime.

Overall, the book was well written and I did really enjoy it. Thank you for this advance reading copy!

This is an adorably fun read aloud! It has of rhyming and alliteration, and is such a fun, sweet story. The illustrations are bright and fun, and all of the animals are just adorable. Kids will find it humorous.

Thank you Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book. The opinions written are completely honest and my own.
Entertaining story with marvelous illustrations. I feel as though Mr. Norton and I would be great friends due to our love of animals. Cute picture book

Solidly cute. I don't really think the bool delivers its intended message, necessarily. Mister Norton is supposed to learn a lesson for snapping at the furry vagabonds, but really good for him for setting boundaries.

A fun little book that follows Mr Norton as animals spent take over different aspects of his clothing and house over the course of the week. Highlighting patience and perseverance, Mr Norton eventually cracks under too much pressure. With beautiful illustrations and a great rhythm this a wonderful picture book.

Cute simple story. There are other books with similar storylines you could compare and contrast. Illustrations are cute.

This was a super sweet and delightful! picture book. Mr Norton has a new hat, and a mouse takes it over, but then more and more animals come and take over his entire life. What will Mr Norton do? His solution is warm and beautiful. Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this.

This is a delightful picture book! The rhythmic, humorous text pairs perfectly with bright, cheerful illustrations, and the overall effect is fantastic. It's an excellent choice for both read-aloud sessions and independent exploration. In addition to just being fun and engaging, this story provides wonderful opportunities for children to practice making predictions, recognizing animals, exploring alliteration, and counting. I will definitely be adding this book to my elementary school library and can’t wait to share it with my youngest students!
