A thriller that will leave you breathless from the jump. You truly have no idea what’s going on , no matter how much you think you have it figured out.

I received a complimentary copy from the publisher and all opinions expressed are mine.
This was an interesting read and an interesting premise. It is based on a message that disappeared and how far one will go for their best friend. I did not expect that twisty turn.

Thank you to NetGalley, K. L. Slater, and Bookouture for the opportunity to read this ebook. This psychological thriller was a gripping, fast-paced ride! Packed with twists and turns, it kept me on the edge of my seat, constantly questioning what was happening.

this was a pretty good book! It was a story that made you think and wonder if what was happening was truly crazy, or if we had an unpredictable narrator. I did like the way this story flowed and had me guessing
Thank you to NetGalley, to the author, and to the publisher for this complimentary ARC in exchange for my honest review!!!

Message Deleted by K.L. Slater is a gripping psychological thriller that grabs your attention from the start. When Saffy receives a mysterious text from her best friend, Leona, asking her to come over urgently, she does just that. But when she arrives, Leona denies ever sending the message. Hours later, Saffy is questioned by the police—Leona and her child are missing, and their home looks like a crime scene.
The twists and tension in this book are masterfully done, keeping you on edge throughout. The pacing builds suspense, and the reveals keep you guessing. Slater does an excellent job blending the past and present, adding depth to the mystery. This is a thrilling, well-crafted read that will keep you hooked until the end. If you're a fan of psychological thrillers, Message Deleted is a must-read!
Special thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for this eARC in exchange for an honest review.

WOW!! I can not tell you how much you need to read this! KL Slater will forever be the queen of thrillers and she did not disappoint on this one! I am giving this a FULL FIVE stars because it is exactly what a thriller is supposed to be like. I could not guess the truth. I could not put it down. I could not stop thinking I knew the truth but the truth was, I had no clue!

This one really kept me guessing! It centers on 3,women: Saffy, Poppy, and Leona. Saffy and Poppy’s stories are mostly told in current times and Leona’s are mostly told in flashbacks. Leona and her entire family disappear after Saffy receives a weird text from her that she denies sending. People think Saffy is guilty when she maintains that all she has ever wanted was for Leona to be happy.
There are lots of potential villains in this story and it’s unclear whether Saffy is a reliable narrator. The flashback chapters are super valuable for providing more background into the history of all of the characters. The author did a great job of creating realistic red herrings that kept me from fully knowing who the guilty party was. I thought the ending maybe wrapped things up a little too clean, but I enjoyed it overall and thought that it fit the story well.
Overall, I thought this was a fast-paced and unpredictable story and I enjoyed it. Thanks to NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Message deleted is a great psychological thriller which kept me guessing and changing my mind throughout. This book will grab your attention with all of the drama and be a fast-paced read. I have read 4 books for K.L. Slater now and she does not disappoint! Thank you to the author and Netgally for providing me with this free ARC.

I dont' know. So many bad decisions. So many unlikable characters. So many unrealistic events. But still...
Saffy and Poppy and Leona and all of the mess of ridiculously named characters. Can we just stop with Poppy? We can't. We must just live through it.
The problem was two-fold. One was the completely unbelievable actions of characters. The second was the completely predictable conclusion.
But still. I read through it. I drank my tea. I cozied up. Why? I don't know. It was comforting. It wasn't challenging to my sense of justice or self. Maybe that was a good thing right now. So much about reading is dependent on the headspace of the reader.
I was in the headspace to let go of all of the above and just go with it. It won't stay with me, but it was a fun day.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for gifting me a digital ARC of the latest psychological thriller by KL Slater. All opinions expressed in this review are my own - 4 stars!
Saffy is trying to get her life back on track and is waiting to go in for a job interview when she receives a text message from her best friend, Leona. The message says - Can't speak, don't text or call, please just come. Then the message is deleted. Saffy is afraid that Leona is in trouble from her husband, Ash, so she rushes out of the interview to check on her friend. When she gets to their house, Leona says everything is fine and that she didn't send the message. Then the police show up at Saffy's door because she was the last one to see the family before they all went missing.
As always with Slater's books, this is a twisty book, with short chapters from different POV and timelines, giving the reader lots of suspects and clues along the way. I felt for Saffy, with all her fears making her overprotective and anxious; definitely not a reliable narrator. I never guessed how it was all going to play out and thought the ending was perfect.

Wow! The intrigue and suspense built quickly; I couldn’t swipe the pages fast enough. This really is a fast paced page turner. The short chapters read quickly. There are multiple POVs and timelines are clearly identified. The story kept twisting and I kept reading. This was a one day read for me. As always, I look forward to K.L. Slater’s next thriller.
Thank You to NetGalley, Bookouture, and K.L. Slater for the opportunity to read and enjoy this ARC.

The plot of this book was great. I was dying to know what happened to the missing family. I had so many guesses of which direction this book would go in and I was all wrong. The book starts off very interesting and had me wanting to know more. It slows down and had some parts that didn’t quite hold my attention, partly because I didn’t feel that connection with the main character. The end was good and caught me by surprise. Things got wrapped up a little too perfectly at the end for a thriller but overall this was a good read. Thanks to NetGalley for my advanced copy.

Another great book by K.L. Slater. I could not put it down. If you're looking for a great psychological thriller this is a excellent choice. I would give this book 4 out 4 stars

I was very intrigued by the premise of this book. 3 texts from your Best friend, basically needing immediate help. You are told in these texts not to call, they can’t speak, please just come. A few moments later the texts are gone. What would you do?
This is the situation Saffy finds herself in. She already doesn’t like Leona’s Husband Ash. Leona has been showing troubling red flags in her marriage, has something really bad happened?
This book started off strong. There are a lot of subplots intertwined within the main story. I was invested to know what happened with Saffy’s sister Poppy years earlier. It kept me reading.
The more I continued to read, I was ready for it to end. It just seemed to go on and on. Although there were a couple “a ha” moments that I enjoyed, I felt the last 1/3 of this book was just all over the place.
It needed to be finer tuned.
Thank you to Bookouture and NetGalley for the opportunity to read an advanced copy.

It’s hard to believe that Message Deleted is only my second time reading K.L. Slater because she already feels like a favorite author. This was an incredibly fast paced read that grabbed my attention immediately and never let me go. There is lots of drama that stems from Saffy trying to find Leona, keep track of her sister, and argue with her ex (and his new woman 👀) all at the same time. I love that the synopsis doesn’t give everything away and I think it sends you in mostly blind which is the best way to go into this.
There were a few times I wanted to throw my book across the room, and I found myself yelling at Saffy almost constantly. So many dumb things including not calling a solicitor!! Be that as it may, I couldn’t believe how wild parts of the storyline were and I was very curious to find out exactly what had happened to both Leona and Saffy’s sister (in the past). I thought I had things figured out, but I wasn’t even close, and the end was positively explosive. I liked the way Slater wrapped everything up, and this is a book that can’t be missed if you love domestic thrillers.
Read this if you want something bingeable, frustrating, and entertaining all at the same time!

Thank you K. L. Slater, Bookouture and NetGalley for allowing me a chance to read this book! I didn't realize at first that it was a British book so I learned quite a few new words which was fun (literally had no idea that "tea" is "dinner"). I really enjoyed the twists and turns and all the relationship connections in this book. There were a couple things I figured out on my own before they were revealed (poppys attacker being one), but overall I still enjoyed the book. I definitely wasn't expecting what happened to Kieran.

First, I want to thank K. L. Slater, Bookouture and NetGalley for providing me with this book so I can bring you this review.
K.L. Slater is back with another twisted psychological thriller in Message Deleted to add to your TBR list. This was a story that was written creatively out of the box.
For me Message Deleted didn’t draw me in right away which I was disappointed by. Usually, I love a book that grasps my attention right away and hooks me so I can’t stop reading the book. For me it took a few chapters to start getting faster paced. However, when it did boy did it,
Of all the characters in this book Ash was my least favorite one. He just rubbed me the wrong way because of the way he treated Leona.
My heart was with Saffy when she just went through something horrific moments prior to a big job interview. I think I would have reacted the same way that she did.
Message Deleted has a lot of wicked twists, turns, action scenes and some violence thrown in.

Favorite Quotes:
Leona’s face crumpled and she just cracked open, like an egg revealing rotten insides. Everything came spilling out all at once and it was messy and upsetting.
She feels like a feather in a storm, whisked back to the past then hurled into imagined future horrors.
Poppy’s magic trick is to divorce herself from the reality of it. Treat the bits she can remember like a bad movie she once watched.
Linda’s fear had infected Saffy on a cellular level. It was always with her, the gift that just kept giving. It was with her now.
Fear is so completely a part of who she is and what she does now, she suspects she might not know how to function without it.
My Review:
This one had a lot going on with several tense and active plot lines that kept me guessing. I couldn’t help but think of the adage that being paranoid doesn’t mean people aren’t out to get you. Most of the characters were deeply flawed and varying levels of annoying, yet I was concerned for them and my curiosity was well engaged and busy devising and discarding my own theories. I had it partially correct, but I never could have conjured the total package.

This book pulled me in right from the start! It’s a slow burn, but the dual timeline, switching between past and present, kept me engaged the entire book. The short chapters made it an easy, fast-paced read, and just when I thought I had it figured out, the unexpected twists proved me wrong. A solid psychological thriller that keeps you guessing!

Slater grabbed me from the jump with this one! It was a twisty roller coaster ride to figure out what happened to Leona. Slater if definitely one of my favorites for "edge of your seat" thrill rides. Slater kept the tension and stakes high throughout. I am working my way through her catalog but this is definitely on my favorites.
