The poems were written very well and painted an interesting image of what it is like to hold onto who you are in a land that is not your own. I appreciated how consistent Alluri's writing was and how each poem correlated with the other, knowing why the book is called "Tabako on the Windowsill." I enjoyed reading the poems as I learned some new things about cultures and lifestyles. ☺️
