I liked this book! It was a collection of short stories, all having to do with family issues. Some of these stories we see families fall apart from an issue, and in others we see the family persevere and even get stronger in times of issues coming up. It was good!!
Thank you to NetGalley, to the author, and to the publisher for this complimentary ARC in exchange for my honest review!!!

This is a short collection of short stories. There is no weirdness, but everyday lifeness. My favorite was the first one about a young woman who still attends baseball games at Wrigley Field, even though doing so always reminds her of the night her father deserted her and her mother towards the end of a game.
Another notable one was about a man at a train station, during the Christmas season, who wonders if the teenager he is talking to at the station is actually his own daughter; a daughter he hasn't seen for years, after his wife divorced him for always putting his work first.
Some of the other stories I felt were too short. They seemed unfinished to me. The collection is still a worthwhile read, though, and a quick one. It's a good example, too, of how an author can independently publish their short stories.
P.S. Watch out if you are doing an online search for the author to learn more about her. Oddly, some search engines will repeatedly bring up writer S. J. Rozan, instead of J. S. Rosen.

The book is easy to read, and each story only takes a few minutes. I did not enjoy this as the stories were not intriguing and felt pointless at times. Thank you to NetGalley and JSR Publishing for the advanced reader copy.

Six different short stories that all surround family. I enjoyed reading these stories and the impression it left surrounding your own family, childhood and so on. While the stories are all different in their meanings, they all make you reflect and sit as a good reminder for what is important in life. I was able to reflect as a parent now myself and how decisions and choices I make may be seen from a child’s perspective in the future. It also had stories that took me back to being a kid and memories I created with my parents.
Thank you NetGalley for the copy!
