This was a really interesting read to look at your money habits based on your enneagram .
I found that some of these things really explained why I feel the way I do about finances. But I don't think we all are the number of our enneagram all the time.
But still great way to understand more about your relationship with money.
Thanks NetGalley for this ARC.

It sounds like Doug Lynam has led a fascinating life, and he uses his experience to help others in this book. His nuanced approach uses research, spiritual wisdom, common sense, and humor to explain how knowing one's personality can lead to spiritual and financial wellbeing. I appreciated the author's approach to handling money in a way that will bless others in addition to providing for yourself (and your loved ones if applicable).
I got this book mostly because I was curious, not because I have issues with spending or saving; I was very fortunate to have a happy childhood and parents who taught financial wisdom, so the parts about childhood trauma might be more applicable to other readers. I agree with Lynam that it's important to work through childhood trauma - as long as people still take responsibility for their own choices, as this book encourages them to do.
My only disappointment with this thorough, thoughtful book is that it got one thing backwards. It treats the Enneagram as absolute truth, and religion as subjective, when really I think it's the other way around (I don't think 100% of any one Enneagram type completely encompasses all of a person's traits). Overall though, I appreciated this book's respect for spirituality (not surprising, coming from a former monk). This book's sensitivity, humor, and complexity make it an excellent read. I give it 4.5 stars rounded up to 5.
This book definitely helped me understand my spouse and his financial habits better now that we have taken an Enneagram quiz. I hope it will help a lot of people!
Thank you to W Publishing, Thomas Nelson, and NetGalley for the free eARC. I post this review with my honest opinions. This review will be posted on Goodreads one month prior to publication, and on Amazon and Instagram within one week of publication, so as to be most helpful in promoting the book.
Thank you to

This book allows a reader to see how their personality, looking both at their enneagram and their past experiences, plays a role in how they handle money. Many of the chapters are broken down into enneagram types, making it easy to focus on the information most relevant, while also providing clear charts and diagrams to serve as a concise overview of the information. The psychological aspects of one's life make perfect sense to how financial priorities are, as the book says, avoided, confronted, or balanced. This is worth the read to determine how who you are is impacting your wallet.
