Get Lost With You is a feel good, small town, second chance romance.

It wasn’t quite my cup of tea - I found the story and character development to be a bit too superficial, and found it a bit hard to connect with the story. However I feel like it’s the kind of book I’d like to pick up when I’m looking for a relaxing, cosy and easy read. The low stakes, slow burn, and quaint characters and setting make it a nice escapist option.

I think these factors made it quite the enjoyable audiobook. The story was easy to follow, and the narrators added another level of interest and emotion to the story.

Thank you RB Media for an early copy of this audiobook. Opinions expressed are my own.

This is a delightful story set in the charming small town of Smile, MI. As a small town on an island, everyone knows everyone and they all know each others’ history. We follow Levi, an accomplished chef, who returns to Smile to reconnect with his family and hometown. There he reconnects with Jilly, his childhood crush. This is such a sweet, low stakes romance as we watch them fall in love. At the same time, the reader falls in love with the residents of Smile and Jilly’s family. The narrator does a wonderful job of infusing joy into her storytelling. I recommend everyone “gets lost” in this escape from reality.

When I started this it felt like I had already read it. And I did I read it on ebook. It was much better on audio. I really like that the story continued.

It was a bit forgettable because I couldn’t even remember much of it since I had already previously read it.

Jillian is a single mom after removing her jerk of an ex-husband from her and her daughter's life. She's now living in her hometown of Smile and helping run her brother's resort. And then, suddenly, Levi Bright turns back up in Smile. Levi is probably best described as the one who go away, but it turns out that he would say the same about Jillian. He left for culinary school and she didn't and their would have been slipped by. But anyway, essentially, immediately upon reconnecting the two realize that there's still an attraction there. What they're also dealing with, though, are issues in their personal lives. For Levi, he came back to Smile partially because he was ready to come back home and partially because his dad had surgery and he wants to be there for him. Except Levi and his dad aren't actually getting along. At all. For Jillian, it's a low level of anxiety and panic that keeps ratcheting up due to outside forces and an inability to accept that things are changing because of said anxiety and panic.

I found Jillian remarkably relatable because I too get overwhelmed and want to scream and shut down when too many things seem to be changing at the same time and I'm not in control. Unfortunately, this was one of those times where seeing yourself in the main character makes you fully aware that it's unfair to be disliking them and yet finding yourself unable to stop. It's just that Levi was so wonderful that her panicking and pushing him away felt so truly unfair! And yet, to be loved like that. You know? All I'm saying is that a man who cooks for you should be treasured. And I would like to try that s'mores cake.

I guess to try and make this review something that could help someone outside of past me, what I'm telling you is that this book is about a man who is down bad for this woman and the woman is unable to trust or believe him because men. And if you are feeling disillusioned about the world and would find that to be a comfort, pick this book up. But if that would make you want to scream for some reason, maybe try a different book. Hopefully that somehow helps you know if this is the one for you... Seems unlikely, but here's hoping anyway.

I think that I would have enjoyed this book more had I read the full thing with my eyeballs, if I'm being honest, because although I adjusted to the narrator in this, her voice didn't quite match what I would have imagined. That is, however, entirely personal preference. I guess I'm just saying, I would make sure that you try out a sample of the audiobook before fully committing to it.

While a sweet story of a second chance romance in a small town, I found this book a bit boring. The two MCs didn’t run into any major plot twists. There was some apprehension since the FMC has a child, but the whole story was about how they had liked and still like each other. I thought the elements in the story (plot, main characters, etc) a bit shallow.

Thank you to Sophie Sullivan, RBmedia, and NetGalley for the ARC

First off, Get Lost is an absolute gem, and I had the pleasure of reading it as an ARC copy. If you’re looking for a romance that’s funny, sweet, and packed with heartfelt moments, this is definitely one to check out.

Jilly really didn’t want to go to her high school reunion. After all, high school wasn’t exactly her best time, especially when her biggest memory of Levi, her best friend’s twin brother, is her tragic attempt to confess her feelings at 15. Let’s just say that things didn’t go as planned, and it’s been years since she’s seen him. But when she finally shows up at the reunion, she has no idea Levi is going to be there, and let’s just say, things get complicated in the best way possible.

Levi’s back in town, and he’s ready to take a leap after all these years. There’s so much chemistry between him and Jilly, and watching them navigate their past—and their undeniable attraction—is honestly hilarious and heartwarming. Plus, Jilly’s daughter, Oli, might be one of the best things to happen to this book. She’s 9 years old and way better at matchmaking than we all are. Seriously, Oli’s reactions to Levi and her mom? Priceless.

What really stands out in this book is the slow-burn romance. It’s not about rushing through the feels—it’s about building that connection, working through the awkwardness, and taking the time to figure things out. I loved how the focus was on family, healing, and that beautiful slow build of a relationship that feels real and earned.

I really enjoyed "Love, Naturally" and was excited to see what the next book in the series would bring. It was very promising for me trope-wise -- Brother's Best Friend, Second Chance, Single Mom and it was a cute story BUT I felt there was nothing hard sitting to truly capture my attention. I also didn't adore the narrator. I do recommend it, but I might've liked it better if I read it e-book style.

This was such a delightful and heartwarming second-chance romance! I had no idea it was the second book in the Rock Bottom Love series, but it works perfectly as a standalone.

This book takes readers back to Get Lost Lodge, a family-owned retreat that Sullivan brings to life with vivid descriptions, making the setting feel truly immersive.

The MMC - Yes Chef 👨‍🍳 🤤

While it may not be the most unforgettable read, I still enjoyed its playful and lighthearted charm in the moment!

This was a cute story and entertaining. I did find it hard to get into the story and finish it but that had nothing to do with the writing and more to do with Gillian's ex being a douche. Thank you for allowing me to read and review this ARC

ALC REVIEW:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Get Lost With You is the second book in Sophie Sullivan’s Rock Bottom Love Series. While the books in this series are interconnected and feature key players of the small town, Smile, they can be read as a whole or individually. I had the pleasure of reading the first book in the series (Love, Naturally) and was excited to return to Smile, the Get Lost Lodge, and the Keller siblings.

Jillian ( the FMC), being a single-mother brought a new perspective on dating in a small town. Her second chance romance with Levi Bright (MMC), her brother’s best friend proves sometimes timing is EVERYTHING. Their relationship had the perfect amount of history which translated into a sense of safety and comfort as well as undeniably chemistry.

I thought the audiobook version of this story was well done. The voice actor, Allyson Morgan, was tasked with narrating the entire story. I usually prefer audiobooks to have multiple narrators. In my opinion, it just makes it easier to follow along. Surprisingly,
Morgan’s talent proved me wrong. She did a great job bringing Sullivan’s words to life.

Special thanks to Netgalley, RBmedia (Record Books), and Sophie Sullivan for gifting me a copy of this audiobook in exchange for my honest review. I can’t wait to continue on with this series, assuming it continues.

Thank you so much to St. Martin's Press for the eARC and Recorded Books for the ALC of Get Lost With You by Sophie Sullivan! These are my honest thoughts!

I adored this story. I had so much fun watching Jillian and Ollie fall for Levi, Jillian for the second time in her life. I ended up primarily doing this one via audio, as I have a hard time eyeball reading 3rd person POV books. I wished the audio was dual narration... but the narrator did a great job doing both parts, and I rarely got confused which perspective each chapter was, as I commonly do in 3rd person POV books.

Levi stole the show for me. He was in love with Jillian before, but never acted on his feelings because he was leaving. Jillian was so embarrassed from trying to kiss Levi before he left when they were still in high school, but so much had happened to her between.

I loved the concept of their family lodge, Get Lost Lodge, and working with her brothers. Ollie was the highlight for me, and watching HER fall in love with Levi, and Levi with her, bumped this from a 3.5 to 4star read in my opinion.

Read if you love:
- Single mom
- Second chance
- Small town
- Michigan
- Island-life
- Small businesses
- Workplace-ish
- Solid relationships with a little bit of ex drama near the end
- Everything working out just the way it was meant to

Get Lost With You
By Sophie Sullivan

Jillian Keller and her first love, Levi Bright have returned to their home town, Smile somewhere around Mackinac Island, Michigan. Jillian, 31, has returned in probably book one of this series when her brother, Beckett falls in love. Levi, slightly older, returns in this the second book of the series.
Jillian and Levi had a near miss of a relationship when Levi left town at 17 to become a chef. Jillian left after high school to marry an older loser named Andrew. Jilly is now divorced and she and her daughter, Ollie now 9 haven’t seen him ( Andrew or Levi) in years.
As you can imagine, Jilly is jaded about love. She doesn’t want to take a risk with her first almost love who has come back for good and instantly falls right into place with her family and their Get Lost Lodge which Jilly helps run with her, oldest brother Greyson. Jilly and Ollie live with her parents.

So she has a secure job, home, babysitters and a guy who is instantly back in love with her but she doesn’t want to take a “risk.” In my opinion, the story was way too long for as little that happens, sexy times were boring and boring things were described in great detail. Jilly is insecure to say the least. Levi came back to help his Dad who is a jerk to him for leaving at 17. Jilly’s family is perfect except they make decisions and tell her last.

The name Ollie for a girl has been in multiple romances I have read lately. Not a fan of the name or the narrator for the audiobook. The trend seems to be quirky voiced female narrators with no male counterpart. I am sure sweet is what the author is going for but I felt more snooze. I prefer more depth, humor and sexy. Intimate scenes didn’t feel intimate. Nothing technically wrong but nothing stands out for me.

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Griffin for an advance audiobook to listen.

Thank you to netgally, the author and RBmedia for allowing me an audiobook ARC of this novel! This book was a lot of fun to listen to and I enjoyed Jillian and Levi’s story as well as catching up on Beckett and Presley from the first book! I can’t wait to see if Grayson will get a story next!

This was a pretty cute romance, I think it is the second or third book I have read by Sophie Sullivan. I also enjoyed the audiobook narrator.

I'm going to start by saying that even though i didn't really like the book, the narrator, Allyson Morgan, did a great job in telling the story. If it wasn't for her i would have probably dnf this book.
The reason why is primarly the way all dialogues are constructed, it feels like it's explaing what is happening instead of showing it. I also found the entire cast of characters very childish, it almost felt like it was a middle school romance where the main characters where 30+ years old. Also the decision of making them a couple 30% in is realistic but not intresting.
Thank you to netgalley and rb media for the e-arc.

Audiobook Review: Get Lost with You by Sophie Sullivan, narrated by Allyson Morgan

In a nutshell:
Get Lost with You is the perfect read if you want something fun and easy that is guaranteed to put a smile on your face. With a cast of characters that feel like family and two adorable protagonists that you just can’t help but root for, this story will make you believe in love again.

Synopsis:

Fast-forward 15 years. Jillian is a single mother to Ollie, and Levi is an award-winning chef. They are both back in their hometown trying to build the life they dream of. Perhaps their dreams are easier to reach than they thought, if they learn to trust and take a leap of faith.

Tropes:
• Small town
• Single mom
• Brother’s best friend
• High school crush
• Chef MMC
• Found family

Spice level: 1/5🔥

My thoughts:
I shipped Jillian and Levi from the get-go because it was clear how much they truly care for each other. Having grown up together, they are friends, almost family, they have deep respect for each other, and both want the other to be well. I loved this aspect of the story, it felt very healthy and mature.

While a bit slow in the first half, and I could’ve used some more pining before they get together, the story picked up in the second half, introducing some real-life challenges that the characters had to navigate their way through. I related a lot to Jillian being an insecure mess, doubting herself, fearing big life decisions and getting overwhelmed. The way her family and Levi deal with this and support her is unmatched, we all deserve such a strong support system. Levi is the perfect book boyfriend, he might have ruined men for me because what he does for Jillian !!! Are you joking?! Perfection!! He knows exactly what Jillian needs, he loves her fully and sincerely, he is patient and understanding with her considering her romantic history, and he is loyal through and through. Not to mention he is good-looking, a great cook and loves Jillian’s daughter, Ollie, like his own. Speaking of Ollie, I loved her character. She was sweet but sassy, smart, outspoken, kind, and a bit of a little Cupid. Protect Ollie at all costs!

I have read this as an audiobook and the narrator, Allyson Morgan, was great. She made the different character voices distinguishable and kept a good pace for the most part. Sometimes, it felt a tad too fast for me, and I had to rewind, but I did listen to it while being sick, so I think that’s on me. The book has some mixed media (mainly text messages) and some chapter breaks, which the narrator marked well to not confuse the reader. The audio format fits this light, fluffy, fast-paced read.

Overall, I had a great time reading this book and would recommend it to romance girlies looking for their next comfort read.

Thank you RBmedia | Recorded Books for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.
