Every Hour I Need You by Katie Faris is a 30-day devotional for moms, reflecting on the character of God and how we can learn from His characteristics in our everyday life. The devotions are short, which is great for moms, and they truly reflect on God, which is also great for moms. I found this to be a good devotional.

An excellent read for any and all readers! Author comes at you with both barrels and knocks you out of your shoes! Great job fleshing out all the characters. I give this book FIVE stars! Definitely recommend!

I was initially drawn to the title, because I love a worship song with the same sentiment. I loved the cover art as well. However, this book was a difficult read for me. The formatting made it more difficult to read and required extra effort to follow. I'm not sure if it's been formatted for Kindle readers yet, but that was what I was reading on and it seemed like the text jumped between description, Bible verse, questions, all very quickly and without an obvious transition. Again, maybe some formatting would solve this.
Overall, it just didn't seem like ready to be read. The writing also felt repetitive at times, even though the content was thoughtful and insightful. It was, simply put, not my cup of tea, though I love devotionals.
The book had some great content and was full of scriptures to back up different qualities of God, but I felt it lacked some of the depth that I was looking for while reading. I'm sure there's a reader who may benefit from it, but it just lacked a certain memorability for me.
