When a young boy’s great-grandmother hires medium Clare Cermak and her partner, Zach Slade, to go to Creede, Colorado and protect the child from an evil, ghost killing spirit who eats them, they do. They have to find the true name of the spirit doing this in order to extinguish it. More than that, they both must learn to trust each other and lean toward the love they find in each other. Most of all, Clare must learn quickly how to use an ancestral bone knife, her dead aunt had left her, to kill the evil ghost. Otherwise the evil spirit may rip out her soul and devour it, killing her in the process.

Robin D. Owens wove Old West history facts and interesting characters quite well with a sexy, sometimes scary paranormal tale that soon became hard to put down. It knocked my socks off.
