The first in an ongoing series, "Dinosaurs from Head to Tail" provides a whimsical, easy-to-access introduction to the anatomy, identification, and science of dinosaurs. It reminds me of Margaret Wise Brown's "The Diggers" in respect to style and reading difficulty, with text chunks describing different concepts in the same way that Sherri Duskey Rinker's "Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site" lays them out. But frankly, a sophisticated analysis of this book is probably not necessary; the kids who are its target audience know what they like, and they almost always like dinosaurs! (And yes, I'm definitely one of those kids..)
