I absolutely adore the Webtoon Les Normaux. I knew a print version was in the works, but I didn't expect an audiobook version! I thought the voice actor for Sébastien was a good fit; earnest, awkward, and sweet. Elia's voice didn't feel quite right to me and I really didn't like the voice of Pierre (Seb's pet rabbit) as the narrator. Though Pierre is a sassy and opinionated bun the voice acting felt pushy to me, almost like a commercial at times. That being said, it does make sense to have a narrator given that this is adapted from a graphic novel. I really enjoyed the atmosphere created by music and background sounds depending on where the characters were. The level of detail and variety of actors makes for a fun listen and reminds me of when stories used to be broadcast on the radio. While some of the narration wasn't a hit for my own tastes I am quite glad this audiobook exists. Fans of queer romance with a fantastical spin will have plenty to enjoy, and I hope this additional format means more readers and listeners for this lovely story!

Listening to an audiobook of a comic generally makes me feel like I'm missing something, and while I"ll definitely be tracking down the comic, the voice actors did an admirable job with the story. The characters were clear and fun to hear, and it felt like a full story, despite not seeing the comic. The hesitant romance, and excellent humor made for a fun listen.

An amazingly illustrated, funny, and romantic graphic novel set in a magical (Parisian) world. I loved this and am excited for more.

If you thought the graphic novel version of Les Normaux was fun, wait until you experience the audiobook—it takes the story to a whole new level! The narrators absolutely bring the quirky, lovable characters to life, adding layers of personality and charm that make the already delightful story even more engaging. Their expressive performances perfectly capture the humor, mystery, and offbeat energy of Janine Janssen and S. Al Sabado’s creation.
The audio format adds a dynamic dimension to the story, making it feel like you’re right there with the "normaux" crew as they navigate their bizarre and supernatural adventures. The pacing is excellent, and the voice acting is so good that it’s easy to get completely immersed in the world of the story. I’m honestly a little obsessed—this audiobook is a must-listen for fans of the graphic novel or anyone who loves quirky, character-driven tales.
I can’t wait for more volumes to come out, especially if they’re brought to life with the same level of care and talent as this one. Highly recommend giving this a listen—it’s an absolute treat! 😭🎧

Thank you to HarperAudio Adult and NetGalley for a free advanced reader’s copy. I received this copy in exchange for my honest review.
Reading the audiobook for this series was really fun! I didn't know what to expect when I requested the audiobook from NetGalley, I just knew I loved this series from its very first iteration on tapas when I was in college, and I've loved the revamp of it since it started publishing again. First to get to hold a physical copy in my hands was magical! But to have this experience with an audio version was great!
I loved the creative decisions that went into bringing this to life, the experience reminded me of a drama podcast with its fully cast narration and the way settings were changed and the use of audio design for sound effects to help tell the story! I was the most curious how they were going to translate the mute character's dialogue into an audio medium, and I personally loved the choice to have his voice actor voice him over text message vs having a digital voice represent his text-to-speech app he uses while in person. The choice to make Pierre, a fun side character who usually only shines in his mini comics, be the narrator that shifted scenes, and his added commentary made the actual narration feel so fun! All the voice actors did fantastic jobs, especially with the variety of accents present, it felt very immersive and enjoyable.
If you enjoy experiences like the Two Princes podcast/audio drama I would highly recommend this audiobook! I hope they make more for the volumes to come!

Fun and charming audiobook! The pet bunny narrator is a cute touch. Sebastian, a new warlock, and Elia, a vampire model, have a sweet meet-cute in Paris. Their chemistry is great, and the paranormal world is intriguing. Definitely checking out the graphic novel!

I am really enjoying this new movement to create audiobook versions of graphic novels! Les normaux is a fun supernatural coming of age queer romance set in Paris that features a cast of diverse characters finding love. Great on audio with a full cast of narrators and perfect for fans of authors like Alice Oseman. I can't wait to get my hands on a physical copy to check out the illustrations. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early audio copy in exchange for my honest review! Bonus, there was great disability rep with a mute secondary character love interest who has to communicate via text and speech apps.
