I adore this little found fam so much; Maren, Will and Fitz have my heart... then throw in their love interests and some undeniable heat I am swooning! I devoured the first book in this series (the audio is on KU!!) and when I saw we were getting Maren's story next, I pounced! Where Jamie and Fitz were falling hard, forbidden love, Maren and Ozzy are slow and steady, but still steamy af. The text exchanges between the two of them had me ceckling and the way Ozzy was so flawlessly made things into dick jokes is an art I can relate to. Maren fit into Ozzy's life so seamlessly- she never tried to replace Lola's mother, but she was still able to be an unwavering support for her. Did i want to punch Tia and Amos in the face at certain points?! yup, i sure did. Did i love how grown adults were sneaking through windows in order to get time together? Also yes. this one brought out all the emotions; I laughed, I cried and dang did this one make me sweat. It's out tomowwor and will be on KU, too. Next time you need a romance read- grab one of these Wildfire books, I promise they won't disappoint!

Review Title & Vibes:
{FROM SMITTEN TO OBSESSED} - if you know me - the single dad trope is my absolute fave. This one stands out because the tragic backstory drives so many actions for Ozzy and his daughter Lola. I’m obsessed with Maren - she’s so free despite losing her brother. Her job as a tanker pilot is so freaking cool. This girl falls HARD, making a complete fool of herself (which I can totally relate to!) Ozzy, the bike-riding airplane mechanic, is totally swoon worthy - his humor, his wooing, his sexiness, his stamina 😳. He’s also frustrating with the in-law dynamic (I’ve never wanted to shake someone so badly). Lola is the absolute sweetest, no-chill, 10 year old. Her fears had me sobbing, but her victories so sweet.
This book will take you through a rollercoaster of emotions and leave you satisfied yet craving more. I can’t wait for Will’s story!
Audio Notes:
{Dual} Benjamin and Amy were perfection. Not once was I pulled from the story. I felt the fear, grief, and joy on a fundamental level. Each character voice was performed with excellence. I would highly recommend this audiobook.

Thank you so much @authorjeweleann and @valentine_pr_ for the ALC!

Maren & Ozzy’s story is one filled with beauty and heartbreak. I loved being able to listen to this and having the little moments filled with hope as well as angst. As much as I could understand Ozzy’s hesitation due to his own loss it definitely put Maren in her own predicament when she kept falling too. Maren had all the makings of a beautiful and patient person which had me itching for them to get together. And talk about a slow burn. I kept listening like “please please!” Of course it was worth it for every moment of this book and I’m glad that I had the pleasure of reading it! Run and don’t walk as I always say! #widower #singledad #meetcute #slowburn #cats #toughchoices #trauma

Narrated by Benjamin Sands and Amy McFadden
Jewel E. Ann did it again, and Wildfire is quickly becoming a favorite series of mine. I knew going into this I was going to love Marren, from the first book, From Air, her sassy personality and all the banter but I didn’t realize what a match of a man she was going to find, oh Ozzy! Ozzy surprised me in the best way. Someone who has gone thru the unthinkable, being a responsible single dad with the weight of the world on his shoulders he is also fun and flirty and I was grinning so many times throughout this journey. And Lola, sweet Lola Ozzy’s adorable little girl stole the show. This incredible 9 year old (who happens to be the same age as my son) had me laughing out loud at some of the similar conversations we have in our house. On a serious note, this little girl has been through it, but she has so much love surrounding her you know in the end she is going to thrive. The narration was so wonderful, I loved the combo of both Benjamin Sands and Amy McFadden, feeling their smiles behind the sweet flirting, the truthful moment and the banter with sassy little Lola. This was truly a gem to listen to on audio and follow along on KU.

This was an incredibly emotional story.
Ozzy is such an amazing guy, he is doing his best to raise his daughter, while also keeping his promise, which can make things difficult. He goes above and beyond for Lola and I absolutely love their relationship.
Lola is such an incredible young girl, she has gone through something majorly traumatic, she still struggles with trauma, but she is also smart, kind, & wants to see her dad happy.
Maren is the perfect fit, she is sweet & a bit sassy, she understands grief & loss, she doesn’t mind taking things slow and she adores Ozzy’s dedication to his daughter.
They definitely have some obstacles, but they have such amazing chemistry and their personalities are so good together. I love the banter, the passion, and the understanding.
This book hit me hard in the feels, I bawled multiple times, I just love Ozzy & Maren, and add in Lola to the mix and it’s just a sweet beautiful family.
I can’t wait to see what comes next.
The narration was incredible as well.

I was captivated by this story from start to finish. The narrators deserve special mention for their exceptional performances. Their ability to convey the depth of the characters emotions added a rich layer to the storytelling. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 🌻 Single Dad Romance That Hits Different
Okay, first things first - this book had me FEELING THINGS! 💕 If you're like me and absolutely melt for a good single dad romance, then buckle up because Ozzy and his daughter Lola are about to steal your whole heart.
Let's talk about what made this book my jam:
🔥 That bathroom meet-cute? AWKWARD in the best possible way! Nothing like some embarrassing first impressions to kick off a romance, am I right?
👨👧 Ozzy is total dad goals! The way he gives Maren flowers WITH EDUCATIONAL CARDS about each bloom?? I literally can't even. New book boyfriend unlocked! 🔓
🚲 The whole biking-everywhere backstory hits you right in the feels - grief portrayed in ways that feel SO authentic instead of plot-convenient.
👧 And LOLA! This kid! Ten years old and keeping everyone on their toes. The father-daughter dynamic had me alternating between "awww" and actual tears.
Not gonna lie, I liked this one WAY more than book 1 in the series (From Air). Something about that single-dad energy just works for me! 🤷♀️
The vibes we're tracking:
🔄 Second chance at love energy
🧠 Healing-from-trauma realness
👀 "How do we tell the kid?" tension
🚑 High-stakes career drama
This isn't your typical "dad meets new woman" story - the messiness feels REAL, the complications authentic, and when that climax hits? Prepare for some sneaky tears! 😭
Bottom line: If you want a romance that balances sweet moments with genuine emotional depth, this one delivers big time. Just maybe keep some tissues handy!

Jewel E Ann is such a special talent- her stories are always guaranteed to be special and this one is no different. Definitely an auto- buy author! This is single dad and also a widow moving on from the loss of his wife. It packs an emotional punch and the story is SO GOOD. Lola - Ozzys daughter needs a mention as she made me laugh so much and the chemistry and the love between Ozzy and Maren was so natural in how it developed. He was swoony, she was so understanding of his circumstances- they just worked! Highly recommend

I was enthralled by this extraordinary story and its delightful ensemble of characters! Amid everyday chaos, setting down the book proved to be quite a challenge. “From Nowhere,” the captivating second installment in the Wildfire series, truly shines brightly. I relished revisiting its cherished setting and accompanying Maren on her enchanting journey. The adorably awkward workplace meet-cute instantly captured my attention. While their romance initially felt like insta-love, the story beautifully deepened my emotional connection to their relationship, striking a profound chord with my experiences. This book is a magnificent page-turner, engaging from beginning to end, and it evokes a whirlwind of emotions—bringing forth both tears of joy and sorrow in this beautifully woven tale.
Benjamin Sands and Amy McFadden delivered outstanding performances in their dual narration, infusing the storytelling with incredible depth that captivated listeners. Each character came to life through their vibrant portrayals, conveying genuine emotions that ranged from delightful humor to profound reflection. Sands’s nuanced delivery added a playful charm to his roles, while McFadden’s evocative voice deepened the complexity of her characters, allowing the audience to connect meaningfully with their journeys. Together, they wove a rich auditory tapestry, blending diverse tones and moods to enhance the listening experience. Their remarkable artistry engaged the audience and left a lasting impression long after the final word, making the story unforgettable.

Where do I begin with this one? JEA has outdone herself, yet again! I loved From Air and knew that I would love the 2nd book!
Ozzy, Ozzy, Ozzy.. I love this single dad so much! His relationship with his daughter, Lola, was beautiful and tugged on my heartstrings. The banter and instant chemistry between Ozzy & Maren was everything!
“You’re a beautiful mess” 🥹
Makes me question why more people aren’t talking about JEAs books?? She outdoes herself every time! From the love able characters, laugh out loud moments, tears.. Soo many tears!

I'm loving this latest series from Jewel E Ann and had hoped that Maren, whom we met in From Air, would get her chance at HEA.
Ozzy, and of course Lola, couldn't have been any more perfect for her.
I loved the precocious Lola (but seriously disliked her grandparents) and the way she tried to set up her dad, Ozzy.
Ozzy and Lola have such a sad past, and for a while, I thought that I wasn't going to get the HEA I felt Maren deserved...whew was I relieved!
This story will wring various levels of emotion from you as you read how Ozzy, Lola, and Maren learn to love, especially following the tragedies that befall them.
A tear jerker that will have you laugh and seethe in equal measure as well as fall in love with these amazing characters.
I have serious high hopes for Will's story.
As I've come to expect with any audiobook I select, the narrators bring these stories to amazing technicolour allowing the pictures in my minds eye to shine a special light on the story being told.

Wow…just grab the tissues while you listen to Benjamin Sands and Amy McFadden to walk you through this unique love story. Let’s talk tropes secret romance, single dad, small town, tortured lead, tragic past, workplace romance, blue collar hero, Cinnamon Roll Hero, FMC Firefighter, pilots, angsty, and an amazing little girl! We met Maren in book 1 in this series while you don’t have to read it to enjoy this one it does give you a little extra background on the friend group. Maren is a true hero who I love and especially how awkward she was in some of the situations. Ozzy is the best dad who turned his life upside down to help his daughter heal after a tragic accident. Lola is precious. I have to say the grief aspect of this is so realistic because each person deals with things in their own way and own time. It’s definitely a book about learning to live/love again but it’s not a sad book. You’ll laugh; you might cry but you’ll be so happy to read it!

Jewel E. Ann has done it again with From Nowhere, delivering a deeply emotional and beautifully layered love story that kept me hooked from start to finish. Maren Bernabe is the kind of heroine I absolutely love—strong, independent, and unwavering in who she is. As a badass air tanker pilot, she’s more than capable of handling life’s turbulence, and I admired how she never let the struggles of others—whether it was Ozzy’s grief or Lola’s pain—shake her foundation. Instead, she became their rock, their steady presence when they needed it most. And the fact that she fell for Lola first? That just solidified her strength and heart.
The chemistry between Maren and Ozzy was electric yet heartfelt, and I adored the lighthearted banter woven throughout their story. Even with the heavy emotions at play, their connection felt natural and unforced. While Ozzy’s in-laws frustrated me for the longest time (I mean, seriously!!), I eventually understood their perspective and the heartbreaking weight of losing their daughter.
This book is an emotional ride—full of love, loss, resilience, and healing. It tugged at my heart while keeping me completely invested in Maren and Ozzy’s journey. The only reason I’m holding back that last half star? I just wanted more—more resolution, more of Maren’s incredible strength shining through, and maybe a bit more groveling from certain characters (looking at you, in-laws).
If you love emotional, deeply moving romances with strong heroines, From Nowhere is a must-read. Jewel E. Ann knows exactly how to break your heart and piece it back together in the most beautiful way.

I fall more in love with Jewel’s writing every book I read by her. She is another one of those authors that just brings out all the feelings. Her writing is full of witty banter and emotional topics. From Nowhere is the second book in the Wildfire series, and it was as good as the first one, No Air. I can’t wait to read Will’s story. I know it will be hilarious seeing how he met his woman.
Ozzy and Maren’s story was perfect. It was beautiful and tragic, from their meet-cute to the book's ending. Watching Ozzy navigate love after loss was heartwarming. Ozzy brings Maren flowers every time he sees her, which is precious. Maren’s relationship with Lola was everything. Jewel portrays a realistic approach to sexy time with kids and describes parenting to a tee. I loved it.
Words can not express how much I love this series and this author. If you haven’t read anything by her, I really urge you to. She writes the most beautiful stories. This book and the first one are free to read and listen to with KU. I listened to the audiobook, and the narrators were fantastic. I hope you will read and love it as much as I do. Please let me know if you do.
Quotes:
Parenting is the art of hypocrisy.
“Maren,” he whispers, trailing light kisses from my lips to my ear, “there’s nothing more epic than falling in love with someone who loved my daughter first.”
I’m in awe of this woman—her talent, love, patience, and perseverance. I will never stop thinking of myself as a fortunate man despite life’s tragedies. It’s never the things I see coming that take my breath away. It’s the moments that come from nowhere. A lost wallet. A car accident. And an empty toilet paper roll.
Maren: I like the way you look at me.
Ozzy: How do I look at you?
Maren: Like the sun after forty days and forty nights of rain.

This story somehow ripped my heart in two and put it back together again. Ozzy our single dad FMC is navigating being a widower along with it. His and his daughter’s story is truly heart wrenching and I loved seeing their growth throughout this story.
Maren our FMC who was introduced in book 1 of this series is a fire tank pilot and has a meet cute moment with Ozzy. They fit together so seamlessly and I loved how she was able to make every moment count and not a second was Ozzys daughter Lola. Ozzy quite literally does it all for these two.
I’ve really enjoyed this series so far and I loved getting more of Marens sassy self (truly had to be sassy to deal with her roommates 😂)

Ozzy really is THAT MAN. Like seriously this man is husband material and I adored all of the little things he did for Maren and Lola. Loved them all and I ended up really enjoying this!
Ozzy and Maren met in such a weird way haha but I thought it suited their story so much! I loved how they never gave up on trying to make it work and while they kept getting interrupted haha I think it helped with the overall flow of the story since they did start dating right away, but kept us wanting more. Their banter was perfect and they had great chemistry when they finally did get there! So good.
They were both such great characters on their own too. Ozzy like I mentioned was husband material and was the best dad. All his flowers and notes. He had a lot to work through on his own but I thought he navigated things the best he could. And Maren! She was so fun and I loved how her job was so badass.
I adored how Ozzy's daughter Lola was such a big part of this story. My heart broke for her and Ozzy and her trauma. I can't imagine going through something like that and coping in the best way she knew. Everyone was so patient with her and I loved her relationship with Ozzy and how she immediately loved Maren. They were the sweetest little family!
I do think I overall enjoyed book one more. And because there wasn't a ton of buildup to them starting to date, I think I maybe would have liked a little more angst or build up or something. So missing just a little something for me. But still had a great time listening, the audio was great, and here's hoping for a book for our playboy Will next!
Thank you so much to the author, Valentine PR, and Netgalley for the ALC!

A few days, and a few books later, and this one is still on my mind. I love it so much. From the way they met, through how their relationship development, I couldn’t get enough of Ozzy and Maren. The banter and chemistry were so much fun. I loved how understanding and patient Maren was, and how great she was with his daughter, Lola. Ozzy is the best dad ever. The dynamic between him, Lola and his in-laws was complicated and added a really interesting layer to the story. This one will make you feel all the feels, and leave you wanting more!
🎧The audiobook is narrated by Benjamin Sands and Amy McFadden, and they both gave incredible performances. Their voices fit the characters really well, and I enjoyed listening to them! I definitely recommend!

Amazing storytelling, as always, from Jewel E Ann. This felt like such a light hearted romance in the beginning and turned very emotional and deep. I loved every one of these main characters, including (maybe even especially) Ozzie’s daughter, Lola and her completely unfiltered comments. Out of the mouth of babes. The complicated family dynamics made for an intriguing storyline and added the right amount of angst. I am really hoping we get a story for Will soon.
These narrators did a great job with this dual style audio. The emotions came through beautifully and they made it easy to listen straight through.

MAN OH MAN, I binged this book so hard. I was in it from the JUMP and I was so in love with Maren and Ozzy.
Ozzy and Maren meet by chance in the mens bathroom...they have chemistry from the start and are so stinking cute together. Ozzy is the swooniest man. I was so obsessed with him and how cute he was with Maren. He was also such a wonderful dad. He and his daughter have been through SO much and he tries his hardest to help her through her grief, managing his in laws, dealing with his own grief etc. all while trying to make a real go at it with Maren. This leads to a lot of sneaking around which is equal parts cute and hilarious. Maren is just the best. She loves Lola and Ozzy so much and is so willing to take what they can give her. She is such a rock and I'm obsessed with her.
Like all Jewel E Ann books this one broke my heart and put it back together. I loved characters, I hated characters, I literally went through all the emotions. I wanted to slap a few of them at times but that is part of what made it so good. I loved loved this story. This world is so enjoyable.
This audio was phenomenal. Narrated by Benjamin Sands and Amy McFadden both did an incredible job. They both had beautiful voices and the story flowed so smoothly.
