I was so excited to receive this book for review after I had been a fan of The Last Mrs Parrish & The Next Mrs Parrish! This book had me hooked from the beginning and I couldn't stop trying to guess how it was going to end! I really enjoyed the dual POVs in this story, but also the hidden aspect of one of the characters not having a name. I also really enjoyed the dual timeline of the story getting the history of the main character throughout the story happening in the present gives you a better understanding of her. I really liked the dream aspect of this story as well. To see how things would play out if the character tried to change anything to see if the dreams would come true or not. Also having you question if the character was fully sane as well with these weird dreams that sometimes came true and sometimes didn't. I was not expecting how the story ended and was thoroughly entertained the entire time! This was such a good read!!!

Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group - for an ARC of Don't Open Your Eyes.

A psychological thriller about a woman whose dreams wind up coming true. This was a fast paced story with many twists and turns. At times, the story seemed unrealistic, far fetched and rushed.
I am a huge fan of this author but this one wasn't their best.

A solid novel from Liv Constantine! Annabelle starts to have dreams that appear to predict future events. The book is written from several different perspectives to weave together a story that spans from when Annabelle was a college student to the present, when she is a mother with a seemingly perfect life. There were some twists I didn’t see coming but it took a little long to get there. I enjoyed the book but it was not on the same level as Mrs. Parrish.

This is a crazy, twisted book that I loved--even though at times my head was spinning trying to figure it out! Protagonist Annabelle is married to brilliant doctor James and they have two small daughters. But Anna begins having nightmares that somehow portend the future as parts of them come true. In the meantime, daughter Scarlett who is fifteen begins an online chat with a guy named Ben. There's also an unnamed "Wife" who somehow fits into all the intrigue. It's a race against time to figure out how all these puzzle pieces go together, but in typical form Constantine wows us with her brilliant writing!
Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC!

I thought this book was a little on the slow side. Annabelle had some dreams that came true and that was the most suspense there was at the beginning of the book. It still held my attention, but it was not those kind of books that you can’t put down. I was a little disappointed with the ending as I felt it was rushed and very ridiculous. I also wish we got a little more from the “Before” chapters regarding the ending of Annabelle’s previous relationship. I don’t want to give any spoilers so I won’t elaborate. Overall this book was just ok for me.

Absolutely fantastic plot! Could not put the book down once I began reading it. Cannot wait for it to be released. I will recommend it to everyone I know!

Annabelle Reynolds has the perfect family. A doting neurosurgeon husband and two wonderful girls. Something is troubling her though and causing her to have vivid dreams that seem to be coming true. Is she be visualizing the future? And if so, what can she do to change her fate?
This book was quite a ride! Narrated by Annabelle and Scarlett, her fifteen year old daughter, with occasional chapters by ‘the wife’ (who remains a mystery) thrown in. So many twists and turns that kept my heart constantly in my throat. Once you pick up this electrifying, adrenaline filled thriller you will never put it down. 4.25 stars.
I received this advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review and feedback.

Annabelle is your average East Coast mom and wife working a 9-5 job. Out of the blue, she begins having dreams that startle her awake because they seem too real…but eventually they do become real. Her neurologist husband doesn’t believe that she knows things are going to happen in advance and that she’s “dreaming” them after they’ve happened. Can Annabelle get anyone to believe her?
This book kept my attention and was well written but didn’t seem to pick up until 65% of the way through. There were a few twists that I didn’t see coming and I always love those.

This one had me going. About halfway through, I had to know what was going on and couldn’t put it down! If you like twisty thrillers with unexpected and crazy scenarios, definitely give this one a try. It’s kind of a slow burn at first, then Ms Constantine mashes the gas!

Fantastic! I read. Lot (I’m sure like many of you) my favorite genre is Thriller, so this was right up my alley. So much going on, but very easy to follow along. Different timelines, mysterious, a bit of sci fi, a likable narrator, just everything I really like in a book. I’m so good at figuring out the end , not with this one. Twists and turns all long the way. Set in Connecticut this thriller will keep you on your toes. Another winner for Liv Constantine.

I am a big fan of Liv Constantine so I was super excited to get an ARC of their newest book. I dropped everything I was doing and started reading it right away. It was such a fun ride. The pacing was great and different POVs kept me engaged. I didn't really care for any of the characters but that didn't affect how I feel about the story. Great thriller!
Thank you Random House Ballantine and the authors for an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Annabelle Reynolds seems to have it all—a successful neurosurgeon husband, two perfect daughters, and a fulfilling career—but her life unravels when she begins experiencing nightmarish dreams that start coming true. As her husband questions her sanity, Annabelle remains unaware that her 15-year-old daughter is secretly texting someone she met on the internet.
This didn’t work for me. The dreams felt too unrealistic in their specificity. Parents who are supposedly extremely overprotective, with one working in the social media industry, wouldn’t be so lax about their kids’ social media use.
In general, the author relies too much on telling rather than showing, making the story feel overly direct with little room for the reader to engage. The pacing is off, too—slow for about 75% of the book, then suddenly very fast in the last part. And everything wraps up too neatly, almost too perfectly.
This book publishes on 9/17—thanks to @netgalley for the advanced copy!

What a fun ride! I could not put this book down!
Annabelle, a successful social media marketing executive is living the dream with her husband and two daughters. Everything is idyllic until Annabelle begins having dreams and those dreams go on to become reality. Things begin to get tense on the home front as Annabelle begins to use these dreams to steer their lives. There is another storyline that I don’t want to mention here for fear of it being a spoiler.
There are twists that keep the pages turning and hard to put down at night.
The story is told from a few different points of view (including an unidentified POV) . This is a writing style that I personally enjoy.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Thank you Net Galley for the ARC.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC. I really enjoyed this one. About a woman who seems to have the perfect life, but keeps having these disturbing dreams, it is kind of thriller that you can not put down. You wonder how it all comes together and it keeps you guessing. A great thriller.

The last couple of books by Liv Constantine to be honest I haven't loved but her latest one is excellent. Don't Open Your Eyes is fact paced and full of surprises that kept me turning the pages. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced copy.

Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine for an ARC of Don't Open Your Eyes.
Ok, on one hand I felt like I was watching a soap opera while reading this because of how many ridiculously improbable things were happening at the same time. On the other hand, I had a difficult time putting it down and was very invested in the storyline. Eye-rollingly unbelievable? Yes. Entertaining and binge-worthy? Also yes. I would recommend this for readers able to suspend disbelief for a juicy story.
3.5 stars.

Liv Constantine has done it again. Don't Open Your Eyes is her latest book and as with all of her others, I couldn't put it down.

Oh I really loved this one! This one had several twists and turns and kept me flipping the pages. I thought I had it figured out but I was wrong. I was deep into this one and had it finished in one day.

Another 5 star read from Liv! I was so excited to receive this ARC and dove in blind. At first, the multiple story lines and viewpoints kind of confused me and I wasn’t sure how they connected but boy did they connect! Great writing style, and jaw dropping twists, this book has it all!

I wasn't sure about this one at first because while I don't mind at all some supernatural references in my thrillers, I don't want the entire plot to be centered about it. Thankfully, this one ended up delivering.
Annabelle has mostly everything she’s ever wanted. A devoted husband, even though he wasn't her first choice; two wonderful daughters, although one is in the throes of the terrible teenage years; and a career she loves. She's content; even happy, most days. But out of nowhere, she's suddenly plagued by disturbing dreams of an alternate reality in which her mild-mannered husband is violent and her daughters are at risk. Even worse, many of the dreams have elements that materialize in her waking life. Her sensible husband, a doctor, tells her she needs therapy. But Annabelle knows something sinister is happening to her.
You must suspend disbelief to fully enjoy this story, and once you do that, Annabelle's predicament becomes completely immersive. Told in alternating timelines with a mysterious bonus POV that adds yet another layer of unease and deceit, DON'T OPEN YOUR EYES is a fun, engaging read about trusting your instincts and knowing that the past will always come back to haunt you. Thank you to Random House Publishing/Ballantine Books for the early copy. This title will publish June 17, 2025.
