I enjoyed My Dark Prince about as much as book 2, My Dark Desire. I listened to the audiobook version and it was well done. I enjoyed both narrators, they did a good job of adding to my enjoyment of the book. The book is told in dual POV.
~~What I liked~~
-The plot and writing were good, there were some funny parts and I enjoyed the happy ending for Briar.
-I was a lot worried about how the authors would be able to explain Oliver's boy-toy behavior from the prior book(s), but they did a decent job. Not sure it was very much believable, but I like how they tried to manage his behavior.
~~What I didn't like~~
-Much like my issue with book 2, the storyline seems very jumbled. It wasn't told as smoothly as other stories, almost like there were two authors writing this book...🤔. I know, there were two authors, but it was like they didn't do a good job of transitioning between character POV or the actual story. It made it difficult for me to really 'sink into' the book.
-I really wish they would have handled the "secret" a bit better. It didn't seem to end on a happy note.
Overall, this book was ok, but I can't in good faith recommend it. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

Well, who doesn’t love a retelling of a Disney classic?!?! This book has so much to love, a sassy FMC, a hunky and madly in love MMC, family drama, a traumatic event, and some spice and humor sprinkled about. I loved that this offers a story within a story as you meet a sibling who leaves you wanting more and more. Grab a snack and a blankie, this book or audiobook is gunna take a minute. As much as I really did enjoy this, there were a couple times that I thought there could have been more emotional pull or they could have glossed over and cut sections a little shorter. I don’t want to give away spoilers, but I do think there was opportunity to really draw on the readers emotions with the tragic events. I was not disappointed in the length or pace of the book, just a general thought. All in all I thought it was good and I will absolutely be recommending this to some of my reader friends. I would like to thank the authors Parker S. Huntington and L.J. Shen, Dreamscape Media, and NetGalley for the opportunity to revive an advanced copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review. I have not been financially compensated for a positive review.

3.5⭐️
honestly, i got into this book without any expectations. i haven't read yet other two books in the series (even though they're on my TBR and now i'm even more excited for them).
🎧first of all, let's talk about the narrators. i'm not a fan of dual narration, because i prefer a male narrator read all male character's line, the same for a female narrator. here female/male narrators narrate everything in their chapter. at first, it threw me off. i wasn't sure if i'd fully enjoy the audiobook. but both of them did such an amazing job with opposite sex voices that i was able to just focus on the story.
in terms of story, my expectations were also exceeded. it wasn't the greatest story i've read, but i was waiting with super toxic-red-flag story, and there WERE red flags, but to me they turned beige haha
💓Oliver is actually a definition of a beige flag. he did some things that weren't right but he also was very selfless, caring and somehow the most normal person out of the group (not including Briar). i was mad at him fro leaving Briar at first, but you get to get into his mindset in the course os the book, and it helps to truly understand his motives.
overall, i wanted to hug him as well as Briar. they are a definition of "right person, wrong time". Briar is my girl. i may not always agree with her but i support her at all costs.
also, to my surprise, i enjoyed the amnesia trope. it's not my favorite but here it was so fun, i was all for all the jokes.
➖ for minuses, it was a bit too long. some descriptions or characters' thoughts weren't really necessary, they felt repetitive at times. the third act breakup (which wasn't even a breakup) was also unnecessary. i understand why the author wanted to make it that way but we could've wrapped up this plotline earlier.
all in all, can't wait to get to other books now.
p.s. some of that dirty talk made me howl on the moon, so good!!!

I loved this book/audiobook! This was such a great Sleeping Beauty retelling and the banter, revenge, & tension was so well done! This was my first book read in the series and I will go back to the other 2! I really hope Seb gets his HEA!
I would definitely recommend this audiobook to friends!

The concept of the story sounded promising—amnesia, second chances, and a hidden past could have made for an exciting mix. Unfortunately, the book failed to live up to its potential.
The characters lacked depth and felt flat. Briar Rose and Ollie were supposed to have an emotional connection, yet their love story felt forced and uninspired. Ollie, who had been a compelling character in previous books, came across as inconsistent and unconvincing. His motivations were unclear, his development felt half-hearted, and the dynamic between him and Briar Rose never truly felt believable.
The plot started off with some intrigue but quickly lost its momentum, relying on unnecessary drama instead of genuine communication. Conflicts that could have been resolved with a simple conversation were drawn out for the sake of tension. The amnesia element, which could have added emotional depth, was treated more like a convenient plot device for a fake engagement rather than a serious issue.
By the halfway point, I had lost interest. The storyline became increasingly unrealistic, and the dialogue felt repetitive. Certain scenes, like the conversation on the private jet, felt so out of place that they completely pulled me out of the already shaky narrative.
In the end, this book had potential but was ultimately disappointing due to its shallow characters, forced drama, and weak romance. If you're looking for a story with deep emotions or a compelling love story, this one won’t deliver. I'm giving 1 ⭐.

I received an ALC from NetGalley and Dreamscape Media.
I absolutely love being back on Dark Prince Road with my favorite group chats. These characters are so unhinged and have me laughing out loud with their banter. Briar and Ollie were well worth the wait. I think we all knew there had to be more to Ollie than what we saw but I honestly wasn’t expecting this version of him and I really really loved reading him. The plot was fun and tender and sometimes so damn sad, the narrators were great. Parker and LJ have done it again and if I don’t get a Beauty and the Beast retelling about Seb, I will RIOT. lol.
This series is definitely a comfort read for me and I’m so happy I got a chance to listen to the latest installment.

2.75 ⭐️
This audio book about 7 hours too long. It’s a standard romance I don’t understand why it needs to be 17 hours and I was honestly bored by about 70% in.
I adored My Dark Romeo, it was so funny and a great time and I was disappointed when My Dark Desire didn’t match the vibe. I was hopeful though, as Ollie is hilarious!
I found the whole thing drawn out and slow. The flashbacks were fun.
I didn’t feel the chemistry between the main characters and I was honestly routing for… no spoilers but… the recluse to become the love interest!!
Usual 3rd act break-up but like half way in???
I don’t understand the point in dual narration like this as “Ollie”’s voice for Briar was awful and I’d honestly rather have a single narrator to keep voices the same if it can’t be a proper duet.
Anyway, sadly not for me.

This is the best written dynamic in this series so far, Oliver and briar have a lot to deal with and briar has has a terrible time. All 3 main character of this had a lot to work through before the end of the book so the ending was all the more sweet.
I am completely sick of Dallas’ only personality being eating!
Thanks NetGalley for letting me read and review.

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the ALC.
Narrated by Christian Fox; Andi Arndt
Narrators were on point. Both of them. Loved the dual POV, and how the narrators show emotion. I felt the angst, passion, with just the right amount of tension. This is the 3 rd book in the series. I Absolutely love this series. Highly recommend.

My Dark Prince is book 3 in the Dark Prince Road series and I enjoyed it. This Sleeping Beauty Retelling follows Count Oliver von Bismarck, and Briar Rose Auer. Their story was emotional, and their friends to lovers turned enemies to lovers tale gave lots of drama, angst, longing, heartache, secrets revealed and second chances.
Told from both the past and present day, the novel was one I couldn't put down. Briar and Oliver were such interesting characters. They were complex and gave us so much witty banter and undeniable chemistry. I fell in love with Oliver right from the start and loved him more with each passing chapter. My heart went out to Briar but at times I found her characters to be immature. However I loved these two together.
We got the characters from the previous books showing up and I loved the banter with Ollie and his friends. The storyline with Seb was amazing and I really hope we get his story next. This was an enjoyable read and I would definitely recommend it to romance lovers.

I listened to the audiobook which was narrated by Andi Arndt and Christian Fox.
They did a fantastic job giving these characters their own personality and bringing them to life. Their voices complimented each other and perfectly suited to the role for which they were cast. They gave us a great listening experience.
THANK YOU to Dreamscape Media & NetGalley for the ALC

This book is packed with angst, passion, and just the right amount of tension. The twists, the emotions, and the way Shen writes flawed yet loveable characters made this an unforgettable read. Sebs story was absolutely heartbreaking and I would love for him to have his own redemption story. The narrators for this audio book were excellent choices.

Listened to the audiobook.

My favorite thing is that we get to see old characters.
.
I don’t want to give much away, but I loved how the storyline develops, how the passing of time changed all the characters and how instrumental it was for characters to grow.
I really liked all the sleeping beauty references, and how good and honestly good the MMC is, how he never did anything to hurt her, he is broody but not mean or hurtful. Even after everything he only ever did what he thought best.
.
Thank you netgalley and Dreamscape media for the Audiobook.

Thank you for the arc in exchange for an honest review!
I was super duper lucky to get this audio arc. I’ve read the first 2 in The series and loved them so when I got asked to review this one it’s was a no brainier.
Briar and Ollie are your typical couple as children where they have feel like they have it all figured out as long as they are together.
They was super cute as kids and the way Ollie protected briar was hard not to totally fall in love either then as a couple early.
Roll on a few years of personal, family issues they arnt together and haven’t been for a while then BAM 💥
Briar bumps into him and in typical Ollie fashion he try’s to take off there friendship where they left off except briar is not having it.
After falling In a lake and knocking herself out she now suffers with memory loss and her last memories are that she is still with Ollie. So Ollie plays along.
This is cute and funny and let me tell you now everyone needs a friend like Dallas for sure lol
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

-childhood best friends to enemies
- enemies to lovers
- fairytale retelling
-standalone but part of a series
- found family
-plot twist, hidden secrets
Let me preface this review by saying that I did not know this was book 3 in a series when I requested it from NetGalley. So bearing that in mind, I may have been at a slight disadvantage going into this. That being said, I fully intend to read the other two books and don’t feel like it spoiled anything. BUT… I immediately had the ick from Ollie (not a manwhore fan) when starting this book and then he actually grew on me midway through, as more of his character and motives was revealed. Overall this was fun to read. The modern take on a “sleeping beauty” retelling being that she gets concussed and has a 15 year gap of amnesia was well executed. The banter was witty, the sexual tension palpable, and it had a little spice sprinkled towards the end. I enjoyed Briar’s character and positive outlook when it came to her memory loss, but her parents had me seething! Seriously, they were dead to me from the get go, and they got what they deserved. Can we take a moment to talk about Briar helping Seb heal and their friendship dynamic evolving really warming my heart. Like, he deserves so much more from life, and the progress he made was huge. Speaking of which I really enjoyed the other characters as well, I’m really excited to read Dallas’ story but I especially want to read Seb’s story. Hoping his is next because I feel for him and the dark place he’s in. And although he had his asshole moments when it came to his relationship with Ollie, I can’t help but want to fix him. Emotionally that is (damaged is my favorite flag in mmc’s lol). I do think his whole accident scenario was way too over the top and unnecessary and I wont give away any spoilers but the reason for said incident just didn’t make sense to me and shouldn’t have started the way it did. Anyways, great read. Brb while I pick up the other books in this series.
Thank you NetGalley for the arc.

MY DARK PRINCE An Enemies to Lovers Romance, Dark Prince Road
by Parker S. Huntington & L.J. Shen
This is just as addictive as all the other Dark Prince Road tomes! I could not stop after I started listening to this book. Oliver and Briar’s story is scorchingly hot, full of chemistry, angst, heartbreak, witty banter, intrigue, and it is intense. The group chats are a great entertaining part of this series. I hope these 2 very talented authors do another collaboration, they are brilliant separately, but on fire together. This is a definite 5 stars.
Narrated by Christian Fox & Andi Arndt. They are excellent as the voices.

🔹️sleeping beauty inspired
🔹️second chance

🔹️humor
🔹️crazy, funny group chats
I listened to the audiobook, and it was 17-ish hours 😵💫 but it kept me entertained the entire time.
"Just remember you are the most precious woman in my life."
"Why are you reminding me this?"
"Because I'm about to treat you like a dirty whore."
Need Sebastian's story next.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this audiobook.
This was my first book within this series and I didn’t feel lost at all. There were frequent visits from previous characters and I never felt confused or overwhelmed.
The plot of the story was intriguing, but I felt like it got a little lost. The book is a second chance/ enemies to lovers….but I felt like a LOT of time was spent focusing on their dislike for each other and so much bickering. They had some physical attraction but I don’t feel like the romance aspect was built enough for me to believe them as a couple. I actually preferred her with his brother.
The narrators did fantastic. I loved them and I felt like they did a good job of making the characters come to life.

Oliver is a billionaire "Bad Boy" who has always put those he loves first before himself, even at the cost of his most expensive loss... Briar is the guarded girl, who always wanted to feel wanted and loved but whose own parents made her feel unwanted her entire life, yet her heart always belonged to one person. 4.5⭐️ out of 5⭐️
Oliver and Briar have been best friends since childhood and become each other's true love as teens. Both are madly in love with one another, until suddenly Oliver disappears on Briar with no word, leaving her devastated and utterly alone in the world. 15 years later the two run into one another again and after a sudden tragic accident, leaving Briar with amnesia, Oliver seizes the moment to get the love of his life back, by claiming they are engaged!
My Dark Prince is the 3rd book in the Dark Prince Road trilogy, but can be read as a stand alone. This book was full of fun banter, unspoken feelings and secondary characters that help create a wonderful story. The 99 chapters initially had me feeling like I would never get to the finish quickly, but I was able to accomplish it in 3 days as this does read fast!
My personal opinion...this is considered a stand alone book and while I do feel it is, I think it would help reading the first two books first. I did read Book 1 in the series a couple years ago but not book 2 and I do think there are some friendship dynamics that would've made more sense to me had I fully had both books under my belt more recently. That said... I am a huge fan of both writers and yet again enjoyed this book!!
Listening to the audio of this alongside reading it, was a great way to quickly get through the many chapters! Great performances from both narrators.
Thank you to LJ Shen, Parker Huntington, Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review!

My Dark Prince
Book 3 of Dark Prince Road
written by Parker S. Huntington and L.J. Shen
narrated by Christian Fox and Andi Arndt
***Five Stars***
This was an instant request when I saw it was narrated by my absolute FAVORITE female narrator, Andi Arndt. It wasn't until I got into it that I realized it was a series and this was book three. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to follow, and I do wonder what I would have known had I started at the beginning, but OMG I loved this book anyway. Yes, I am going back to read the first two RIGHT AWAY.
About THIS book though. It was so good!!! Oliver and Briar were everything. Reading their friends to enemies to lovers was so entertaining. I could have kept reading about these two forever. I highly recommend this book.
I'm going to need a Seb story!
Thank you to NetGalley, Dreamscape Media, and the author for the opportunity to listen to and review this book.

These two authors are always a stellar duo in a writing collaboration. This series they have going is phenomenal and always something I have to look forward to. They knocked it out of the park with the narrator selection. I was captivated and drawn in instantly and needed more. I didn't want it to end. Parker and LJ are faves alone, but when they come together they are always a five star for me.
