Narrators were on point. Both of them. Loved the dual POV, and how the narrators show emotion.
.
My favorite thing is that we get to see old characters.
.
I don’t want to give much away, but I loved how the storyline develops, how the passing of time changed all the characters and how instrumental it was for characters to grow.
I really liked all the sleeping beauty references, and how good and honestly good the MMC is, how he never did anything to hurt her, he is broody but not mean or hurtful. Even after everything he only ever did what he thought best.
.
Thank you netgalley and Dreamscape media for the Audiobook.

Thank you for the arc in exchange for an honest review!

I was super duper lucky to get this audio arc. I’ve read the first 2 in The series and loved them so when I got asked to review this one it’s was a no brainier.

Briar and Ollie are your typical couple as children where they have feel like they have it all figured out as long as they are together.
They was super cute as kids and the way Ollie protected briar was hard not to totally fall in love either then as a couple early.
Roll on a few years of personal, family issues they arnt together and haven’t been for a while then BAM 💥
Briar bumps into him and in typical Ollie fashion he try’s to take off there friendship where they left off except briar is not having it.

After falling In a lake and knocking herself out she now suffers with memory loss and her last memories are that she is still with Ollie. So Ollie plays along.

This is cute and funny and let me tell you now everyone needs a friend like Dallas for sure lol

Let me preface this review by saying that I did not know this was book 3 in a series when I requested it from NetGalley. So bearing that in mind, I may have been at a slight disadvantage going into this. That being said, I fully intend to read the other two books and don’t feel like it spoiled anything. BUT… I immediately had the ick from Ollie (not a manwhore fan) when starting this book and then he actually grew on me midway through, as more of his character and motives was revealed. Overall this was fun to read. The modern take on a “sleeping beauty” retelling being that she gets concussed and has a 15 year gap of amnesia was well executed. The banter was witty, the sexual tension palpable, and it had a little spice sprinkled towards the end. I enjoyed Briar’s character and positive outlook when it came to her memory loss, but her parents had me seething! Seriously, they were dead to me from the get go, and they got what they deserved. Can we take a moment to talk about Briar helping Seb heal and their friendship dynamic evolving really warming my heart. Like, he deserves so much more from life, and the progress he made was huge. Speaking of which I really enjoyed the other characters as well, I’m really excited to read Dallas’ story but I especially want to read Seb’s story. Hoping his is next because I feel for him and the dark place he’s in. And although he had his asshole moments when it came to his relationship with Ollie, I can’t help but want to fix him. Emotionally that is (damaged is my favorite flag in mmc’s lol). I do think his whole accident scenario was way too over the top and unnecessary and I wont give away any spoilers but the reason for said incident just didn’t make sense to me and shouldn’t have started the way it did. Anyways, great read. Brb while I pick up the other books in this series.

Thank you NetGalley for the arc.

MY DARK PRINCE An Enemies to Lovers Romance, Dark Prince Road
by Parker S. Huntington & L.J. Shen
This is just as addictive as all the other Dark Prince Road tomes! I could not stop after I started listening to this book. Oliver and Briar’s story is scorchingly hot, full of chemistry, angst, heartbreak, witty banter, intrigue, and it is intense. The group chats are a great entertaining part of this series. I hope these 2 very talented authors do another collaboration, they are brilliant separately, but on fire together. This is a definite 5 stars.

Narrated by Christian Fox & Andi Arndt. They are excellent as the voices.

I listened to the audiobook, and it was 17-ish hours 😵‍💫 but it kept me entertained the entire time.

"Why are you reminding me this?"
"Because I'm about to treat you like a dirty whore."

Need Sebastian's story next.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this audiobook.

This was my first book within this series and I didn’t feel lost at all. There were frequent visits from previous characters and I never felt confused or overwhelmed.

The plot of the story was intriguing, but I felt like it got a little lost. The book is a second chance/ enemies to lovers….but I felt like a LOT of time was spent focusing on their dislike for each other and so much bickering. They had some physical attraction but I don’t feel like the romance aspect was built enough for me to believe them as a couple. I actually preferred her with his brother.

The narrators did fantastic. I loved them and I felt like they did a good job of making the characters come to life.

Oliver is a billionaire "Bad Boy" who has always put those he loves first before himself, even at the cost of his most expensive loss... Briar is the guarded girl, who always wanted to feel wanted and loved but whose own parents made her feel unwanted her entire life, yet her heart always belonged to one person. 4.5⭐️ out of 5⭐️

Oliver and Briar have been best friends since childhood and become each other's true love as teens. Both are madly in love with one another, until suddenly Oliver disappears on Briar with no word, leaving her devastated and utterly alone in the world. 15 years later the two run into one another again and after a sudden tragic accident, leaving Briar with amnesia, Oliver seizes the moment to get the love of his life back, by claiming they are engaged!

My Dark Prince is the 3rd book in the Dark Prince Road trilogy, but can be read as a stand alone. This book was full of fun banter, unspoken feelings and secondary characters that help create a wonderful story. The 99 chapters initially had me feeling like I would never get to the finish quickly, but I was able to accomplish it in 3 days as this does read fast!

My personal opinion...this is considered a stand alone book and while I do feel it is, I think it would help reading the first two books first. I did read Book 1 in the series a couple years ago but not book 2 and I do think there are some friendship dynamics that would've made more sense to me had I fully had both books under my belt more recently. That said... I am a huge fan of both writers and yet again enjoyed this book!!
Listening to the audio of this alongside reading it, was a great way to quickly get through the many chapters! Great performances from both narrators.

Thank you to LJ Shen, Parker Huntington, Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review!

My Dark Prince
Book 3 of Dark Prince Road
written by Parker S. Huntington and L.J. Shen
narrated by Christian Fox and Andi Arndt

***Five Stars***

This was an instant request when I saw it was narrated by my absolute FAVORITE female narrator, Andi Arndt. It wasn't until I got into it that I realized it was a series and this was book three. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to follow, and I do wonder what I would have known had I started at the beginning, but OMG I loved this book anyway. Yes, I am going back to read the first two RIGHT AWAY.

About THIS book though. It was so good!!! Oliver and Briar were everything. Reading their friends to enemies to lovers was so entertaining. I could have kept reading about these two forever. I highly recommend this book.

I'm going to need a Seb story!

Thank you to NetGalley, Dreamscape Media, and the author for the opportunity to listen to and review this book.

These two authors are always a stellar duo in a writing collaboration. This series they have going is phenomenal and always something I have to look forward to. They knocked it out of the park with the narrator selection. I was captivated and drawn in instantly and needed more. I didn't want it to end. Parker and LJ are faves alone, but when they come together they are always a five star for me.

When you see Parker S. Huntington and L.J. Shen on a book together, you already know you are in for a ride. Angst, chemistry, and morally gray men who make questionable decisions in the name of obsession. My Dark Prince delivers exactly that, and the audiobook brings an extra layer of depth, thanks to the stellar narration by Christian Fox and Andi Arndt.

Christian Fox is the kind of narrator who becomes the hero. His deep, controlled voice perfectly captures the dangerous allure of the dark prince himself. He nails the balance between arrogance and vulnerability, making it impossible not to get swept up in the character’s intensity. Whether he is delivering cold threats or whispered confessions, he makes you feel everything.

Andi Arndt, as always, brings a natural, emotionally rich performance to the heroine. She has this effortless way of conveying strength, sarcasm, and heartbreak that makes you connect with the female lead instantly. Her delivery adds layers to the character’s internal struggles, making the push and pull between the protagonists even more compelling.

As for the narration itself, I will say this. I am not a fan of male narrators doing female parts and vice versa. It always sounds a touch ridiculous and takes me out of the story a bit, but that is just a personal preference. If that does not bother you, then you will love the way these two bring the characters to life.

Now, the story itself? Solid four stars. The tension, the banter, and the chemistry are all there, but there are moments when the plot leans too heavily on drama for drama’s sake. Some conflicts feel a little drawn out. The petty actions seem a little too adolescent, and for someone who can be quite the petty person… well, I feel that could have been done better. That said, the writing is sharp, the romance is addictive, and if you love the kind of tortured, obsessive love story these authors excel at, you will eat this up.

My favorite part? The third act. Without getting into spoilers, Cameron’s addition to the story wrecked me in the best way. He is easily one of my favorite characters. His presence had me tearing up, adding an emotional depth that made everything hit harder. And then there is Sebastian. I had a full on love hate relationship with him. He is his own worst enemy, the true cause of so much heartache and heartbreak for Oliver and Briars, and watching him self destruct made me want to shake him. But I am a sucker for a tortured soul, and knowing he was fighting his own demons made me desperate to see him get his HEA. He is giving Beast energy, and honestly? If the next book is a Beauty and the Beast retelling, I will be first in line. Unapologetic simp for that trope.

The audiobook’s pacing is solid, with both narrators playing off each other seamlessly. The dual POV format works beautifully in audio, heightening the tension and making the enemies to lovers dynamic feel even more intense. It is the kind of audiobook that keeps you up at night, not just because of the story but because you need to hear what happens next.

If you are a fan of dark, broody romance and spice, with top tier narration, My Dark Prince is worth the listen. Christian Fox and Andi Arndt elevate an already addictive story, making it an audiobook you will not want to pause.

Special thanks to @netgalley and @Dreamscape_Media for the opportunity to listen to the audiobook in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Review: This is book 3 in the Dark Prince Road series. We met Oliver in My Dark Romeo and My Dark Desire. If you have read them, you will understand why I was a little nervous for Ollie VB's book. But Ollie took me by surprise in THE BEST WAY!

This book swept me up from the beginning and kept me so intrigued. I will say that Ollie was the best part.🤭 He is the perfect mix of brooding, broken and utterly irresistible. His depth, his pain and the way he loves stole my heart. This man is incredible! He's the kind of hero you can't help but fall for! What this man will do for those he loves!!!

I wanted to smack Briar upside the head a few times, but her chemistry with Ollie was undeniable. The push and pull between these two kept me turning the page, needing more. My heart broke for both Olle and Briar for all that they have endured. Especially a side character that I 🙏 gets their own story. It is pretty much a NEED at this point! I just wanted to give them all a hug and tell them it would be ok.

LJ Shen and Parker S. Huntington delivered an emotional, angsty and intoxicating romance. If you love a dark, swoon-worthy romance with a touch of heartbreak and a whole lot of passion, My Dark Prince is a must-read! Ollie is officially my favorite man on Dark Prince Road!

I got to listen to the audiobook by Christian Fox (a favorite) and Andi Arndt and they were absolutely fantastic. They both nailed their characters and brought them to life so perfectly! Highly recommend!

In this installment, we finally focus on Oliver Von Bismarck, a character we've grown to know in the previous books. And guess what? The love story isn’t just a rehash of what we expected with Frankie—oh no, there's a twist! 🎉 While Frankie plays a crucial role in Ollie’s life, the story dives deeper into his complicated past with Briar Rose, his high school sweetheart, who he lost over a decade ago. 🌹💔

The pet name the authors chose for Briar, “Cuddle Bug”, is adorable and definitely a step up from previous ones! 😂 As the plot unfolds, we learn about the heartbreak that led them apart and the circumstances of their reconnection when fate intervenes. Just as they meet again, an accident leaves Briar with amnesia—she remembers only her past with Ollie and thinks they are still in love! 😳💞

What struck me most about this book is how much deeper it goes than I anticipated. It’s not just about the romance—it's about healing, regrets, and the complexity of love. As Briar grapples with her feelings, we get to see Oliver’s vulnerable side. He is damaged and hurting but is also determined to reclaim his life. This exploration of human emotion is where the authors truly shine! ✨

Performance Highlights 🎧 The narration by Christian Fox and Andi Arndt added layers to the characters’ emotions—making the experience far more immersive. Their ability to convey feelings and tension brought Ollie and Briar's story to life in a way that reading alone couldn’t. 🎙️🎶

Final Thoughts 💭 My Dark Prince stands out as a captivating love story filled with twists, emotional depth, and unforgettable characters. 🌟 If you loved the first two books in the series or enjoy a complex and poignant romance, don’t miss this one. Here's hoping to see more from Frankie in future tales! 🤞❤️

Recommended for: Fans of contemporary romance, emotional journeys, and those who love an engaging audiobook experience! 🎧💕

My Dark Prince👑
By Parker S. Huntington & L.J. Shen🖤

Review✨

I'm shocked that I don't see more of this series on Bookstagram because it's so amazing. I was genuinely cheering them on through every disagreement and setback because it was such a fantastic second chance romance. My favorite portions were the flashbacks to when they initially fell in love. I genuinely thought they were meant to be together because of how profound their love story is. There were several romantic moments, hilarious parts, and intriguing secrets woven throughout this book. I really enjoyed reading this.

Awww I didn't expect Ollie to be so cute. The big bad boy getting brought to his knees by his sleeping beauty was so great to watch. Weirdly, this one probably should have been considered the darkest romance in the entire series but it gave me a lot of warm and fuzzy feelings. I docked a star because miscommunication tropes are my least favorite trope, but Ollie more than made up for it with his tenacity. The pool party scene? Chef's kiss.

I adored this audio copy the narrators knocked this out of the park! I need to listen to anything Christian Fox narrates now. Thanks so much to NetGalley for a copy of this audio!

My Dark Prince is the 3rd book in the Dark Prince Road series. This book is about Oliver and Briar and is told from both of their points of view.

Oliver and Briar are childhood friends that develop into more feelings for each other. Something happens and now it's years later and Briar despises Oliver.

When something happens to Briar and she has a concussion she believes she is marrying Oliver and ends up moving in with him. She can tell something isn't quite right.

As the story goes on we see what happened to tear them apart many years ago, and how they both have personal battles they are dealing with now.

Will Briar and Oliver get their happy ending after everything they have been through?

I really hope this isn't the last book in the series because I need Sebastian's story!

I loved this story so much! Let me start by saying, I read My Dark Romeo 2 years ago, but didn’t read My Dark Desire. I’m not sure why, but Zach never really interested me. When I got this ALC I was not expecting much. It was long, and I wasn’t connected to the characters anymore. BUT goodness, it was so good. SO much happened in this story and I truly didn’t know what else they could have thrown in there, but it all worked!

I loved the past present timeline showing how in love they were in their childhood, and the fallout that happened after. I don’t usually love the miscommunication trope but, Oliver and Briar circumstance made it feel real. And that amnesia storyline was so well done and believable!

AND the narrators were perfect. Christian Fox as Oliver and Andi Ardnt did such a great job, and their voices for the characters so well. I LOVED Christian Fox and U’ll now be listening to anything he narrates.

Thank you Dreamscape Media, Netgally, Parker S Huntington, and LJ Shen for this ALC in exchange for an honest review!

Fairytale retellings are always so hit or miss but this one was definitely a hit! Briar Rose and Oliver's relationship was so good. I love the way they both tried to fight the inevitable, but fate had other plans. When Briar ended up with amnesia, Oliver was given the chance to take care of her until her memories came back. But, what he didn't realize was how hard it was going to be! Briar is not some damsel in destress, and she is quick to put pieces back together. Quicker than even he realized. Not only did I enjoy the banter between Briar and Oliver, I also enjoyed the connection to the other characters in the series and the way she really put her parents in their place!

Thank you, Netgalley, for my ALC! This book was hilarious! Oliver was absolutely perfect, and I loved getting to find out his true nature, and he had a million swoon worthy moments! This book is looooong, but so many pieces click together, and I just adored these two so much!!! Somehow, Oliver had become book husband material!
