I wanted to like this book because I was so intrigued by the storyline. Unfortunately, the writing style and characterisation didn't get me hooked. This one wasn't for me, sadly. Thank you for the opportunity to read it and provide feedback.
Jack and Elsa meet at a New Year Party and when he accepts a job in San Francisco on the Golden Gate Bridge she goes with him. She becomes increasingly isolated as he starts to socialise with his workmates - and we are also treated to chapters that explain their past.
Part of Jack's job is to try and stop the 'jumpers' on the bridge and that is the unusual aspect of this book. I could see that they would be more secure on the bridge and not frightened of the heights- but wouldn't be trained negotiators.
I found it quite sad that the romance dwindled across the book.
