This book was an okay read, however Lincoln and Violets dialogue did not seem to flow and it was hard to connect with them. I enjoyed the story and it was a good quick and light read.

Oh what a beautiful story. Lincoln is such a golden retriever and it was such a pleasure seeing him grow and learn to let Violet in

🛑 Look at the author's trigger warning!!!

‼️ While this is book 1 in a new series, I recommend you read The Triple Trouble series to get a better understanding of Lincoln and his family!

POV: first person, dual perspective

Summary:
LINCOLN was tasked by his dad to travel the world and to decide if running the Scottish family business was really what he wanted to do. Bored and with 6 weeks until his visa runs out, Lincoln decides to help out a friend by working at a gym.
VIOLET was tasked by her dad's company to buy out L.A. gyms and remodel them. When an accidental mix up happens with Lincoln, an immediate attraction towards the Scottish man leaves her swoony, but feisty!
With only 6 weeks to get to be with one another, Lincoln and Violet have to reevaluate their own priorities and take their families into account of their decisions.

My Thoughts:
Ok, so I actually reread Unexpected Eva right before picking Lincoln up, to get a refresher on their family dynamic. Let me just tell you, I wish I was apart of their family! Lincoln is just as swoony as Knox but with a goofy side. I laughed so hard at some of the things he said!
Violet was really your wild card... Occasionally, you got a timid or shy side of her, and then other times, you got a spicy and unexpected side of her. Like...the FIRST spicy scene in the book. I was a fan of how she took charge with no regrets! You rarely ever see any books where the FMC is like that in the bedroom. 🤣🔥🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶

Also, who else is ready for the new and improved version of Jacob's book?!?!? I loved being able to see the changes Vicki made towards Lincoln. I'm forever in love with her and all she accomplishes!❤️❤️

Violet and Lincoln 💜🖤💜🖤

I reread this book as it’s being republished through Boldwood Books- thank you to the publisher, author and NetGalley for the early copy.

I’m still a big fan of Violet and Lincoln. They have an instant connection and this book is very much insta love, but when you learn more about them both and their pasts it totally makes sense why. I love how their story develops and how they are each strong for the other when it’s needed. I always love to see more of Knox and Eva too!

Original review from 2022:
Wow, loved this book! This is the author’s best work so far. I really enjoyed Unexpected Eva and wasn’t a huge fan of Lincoln in that book so wasn’t expecting to love him in this one but was only a couple of pages in when I realised I had him all wrong!
There were lots of funny moments in here, and some heartbreaking ones, but both Lincoln and Violet are great characters who you will absolutely fall in love with. Highly recommend.

Violet is supposed to be only a distraction for Lincoln but he ends up being hooked. Now he can't leave her....

Lots of twists and angst. Really enjoy it. Love Violet and Lincoln together. Lots of steamy scenes...

Thanks to the publisher for the arc.

This book was cringey and smutty and cheesy and just what I needed after some heavy reading. I laughed, I felt, I understood and I enjoyed the craziness. Thank you NetGalley for letting me read and review
