Kellie Finlayson is a daughter, a wife and a mother. She also just happens to be married to an AFL player, so you could say she’s a WAG. She was also diagnosed with Stage 4 bowel cancer in her mid 20’s. All of that we know, all of that are things that Google and news articles will tell you. But reading this book you learn so much more. From her life before her diagnosis and before meeting her husband, to having a baby and then being diagnosed and what she went through when she was first diagnosed. To read about what she went through was as inspiring as it was heartbreaking.

As a Port Adelaide supporter and someone living with a rare, non-curable cancer, I have followed Kellie’s story in the media. There Must Be More was a fantastic read, offering her real story beyond the headlines. It also highlighted some inconsistencies in media reporting, which was eye-opening.

While my cancer is very different from Kellie’s, I resonated with her experience of living with cancer, not ever being free of in but also not actively undergoing treatment. It was incredibly valuable to read about someone in a similar situation. Kellie is truly inspiring—far more than just 'Jeremy Finlayson’s terminally ill wife,' as she is often labeled. She is using her platform for a greater purpose, and I deeply appreciated her candid and honest perspective on life with cancer. Reading about the behind-the-scenes reality of her diagnosis and treatment was both insightful and moving."
