I can't believe we're on book 22, and each book is still as good as book 1. If anything, it's getting better the more we get to know and love the incredible team of characters. Poor Josie deserves a murder free holiday though. She's been through it. I cannot wait to see what happens in her personal life, considering how this one ended.
There are so many great supporting characters. I loved that Josie had so much love and support throughout. I am still so intrigued by Turner and his story though.
As always, there were plenty of twists and turns to keep me guessing, and I stressed for Noah throughout because you can't trust Lisa. I had no idea where it was going. The reveal was horrifying.
I very much approved of the fact that when Josie is rightly taken off the case, she doesn't storm off and try to solve it on her own. She obviously does some investigating but is respectful of the law and makes sure she doesn't do anything that could jeopardise a future trial.
Highly recommend checking this series out and reading in order.

Another brilliant read from Lisa. In this one Josie has to take a back seat in an investigation as Noah goes missing. Josie is trying her best to uncover what is happening which means she has to rake up a lot of demons from her past.

Detective Josie Quinn was called to a murder at a building site while she and husband Noah were painting the baby's room in preparation for their adoption. When she arrived home hours later, Noah was gone and the place was ransacked. Plus there was blood everywhere. Josie's life shattered. What would she do if Noah was no longer alive? She wouldn't let her thoughts go there. Taken off the case she was at earlier, plus Noah's abduction, but with Trinity, her twin sister, by her side, the two women worked hard on any side leads; all she could remember about her abusive mother as she could see things were linked. But would any of it matter if Noah was dead?
Husband Missing is #22 in the Detective Josie Quinn series by Lisa Regan and it was outstanding! A phenomenal read, Husband Missing didn't let up from start to finish! The pressure everyone was under, especially Josie, was incredible. I'm absolutely loving this series, and hope it doesn't finish any time soon! Highly recommended.
With thanks to NetGalley & Bookouture for my digital ARC to read and review.

Lisa Regan - you’re giving me a massive heart attack with every word, this time! You get the heart pounding through each JQ novel, but this one? I seriously wasn’t sure how I was going to make it through. I had to take a few breaks for my sanity and mental health (and to go to work).
I’m not going to give up any details, but from the title alone, you can jump to some conclusions about the subject matter. We know from previous experiences that our beloved author isn’t above taking our favorite characters away from us (I still sting from several books ago!), so I struggled with every page turn and every revelation with what our Josie Quinn and team’s future might be…
Every Detective Josie Quinn book is even better than the last, and while I have a few more fave than others, this one (no matter how stressful it was), could well be among my very tops. It’s definitely more thrill ride than most other thrillers out there! Phew, what a relief to be done and know just what happened.
So many crazy connections to past books (linking all these characters), so make sure you’re caught up on the previous 21 books in the series! Too much to be confused about if you don’t have all the background. This is most definitely not a standalone.
Thanks a million to NetGalley and Bookouture for the advance copy. This is my honest feedback.

Another great case for Josie Quinn. love this series and to see what she gets up to next. Plenty of twists and turns and suspense to keep me hooked. Well rounded characters. Great writing style. Eagerly awaiting the next adventure. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the chance to review it.

Phenomenal!! Bad-ass Josie Quinn gets better every time!! They aren't many series where the 20+ book series gets better. This is that series!

Even though this is the 22nd book in this series, it still feels fresh to me and kept me turning the pages to see what would happen next. This story is a little different in that Josie and Noah aren't the ones leading an investigation due to the fact that Noah is missing, and as a result Josie has been sidelined.
Of course, that doesn't mean that Josie doesn't play a key role in the story. Instead, she is following the clues left to her by Noah (handprints in the garage) and her dead mother (a box of Lila's possessions). We get a look at the dynamics of Josie's and Noah's families, and the fact that stress does not usually bring out the best in people. But kudos to Josie's mother's support.
There were some paths in this story that I certainly didn't see coming both for Josie personally and the overall story. We're getting a little more of a glimpse into Detective Turner that has me both intrigues to want to know more and impatient to want to get to his back story, especially as to how him and Trinity know each other.
Thank you to NetGalley, Bookouture and the author for the opportunity to read this book for my honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.

would like to thank netgalley and the publisher for letting me read this exceptional book
ohh man i cried over this book
josie's day is about to get worse....
josie is called to a stabbing.... she is actively trying to sort out all the information and getting hold of witnesses and cctv.... so when she arrives home much later than planned at first she doesnt realise something is wrong
but before long her instincts kick in....
the house she shares with her husband noah has been trashed....there is blood but noah isnt to be found....
its a race against time to find out where he is... and josie isnt allowed anywhere near the investigation
ohhh man this one is edge of the seat stuff and it will reduce you to tears..... at times its hard to read...
cant wait for the next one in this fabulous series

Another one to add to my list of Josie Quinn favorites!
This one follows Josie as she is forced to sit on the sidelines while her team investigates a murder and the disappearance of her husband Noah.
Against my own policy, I had the opportunity to read this as an ARC so I read this out of order. I'm only on #15 in this series. Unfortunately there is a huge spoiler for a book that I haven't read yet at the very beginning of this one so as much as I loved this one (I stayed up until 1am to finish this), I would advise reading this series in order.
That being said ... hurry up and get started on this series! I'm devouring them as quickly as my library can get them to me! I love the characters and their chemistry and most of these books are so fast-paced that there is no good stopping point so clear your calendar before you start reading!
Thank you to Netgalley and Bookouture. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

In Lisa Regan’s newest book she weaves thoughts and clues from the beginning until the very end when she pulls the thread to tie it all together.
Josie Quinn’s husband has been kidnapped from their home and the longer he’s gone the likelihood of his safe return shrinks.
But Josie will stop at nothing to find him even if it means losing her own law enforcement career.
This is an edge of your seat read that does not disappoint.

Wow! Twenty-two books and still going strong. Thank you Lisa Regan and Bookoture for another chance to spend time with Josie Quinn and the whole clan.
You might think that after this many visits with Josie, Lisa might have lost some of her knack at taking us down another crime solving alley, but you’d be wrong. If anything, this one is better than ever. Maybe not for Josie since Noah goes missing, but for the reader and amateur sleuths it’s another chance to work with the Denton PD and bring Noah home.
Surprisingly, and with difficulty, Josie does her best to stay out of the investigation, while wringing information out of her new detective-Turner. He has some humane moments. Maybe there’s hope for him yet.
Book 22 left us hanging on the precise of a new stage in Josie’s and Noah’s life. I can’t wait for Book 23.

Thank you to netgalley, the author and the publisher for the advance copy to read.
I absolutely adore the Josie Quinn series and was super excited to read this. It always feels like coming home when you come back to such a great series like this.
I enjoyed the story, the characters and writing. However, I did feel that this was lacking compared to others in the series, but I cannot pinpoint why. Perhaps it was missing the dynamic between Josie and her husband.
Overall a great read and one you'll enjoy if you're already a fan.

Lisa Regan took us back to an old storyline, that I, for one, thought we would never revisit. In true fashion, she wove a story that flowed with the entire rest of the series and left my jaw on the ground a couple of times. I have to admit that Noah is not my favorite character in the series. Don’t hate me, I really don’t know why. So it was kind of nice, to me, that he was missing for this installment. There were a couple of big twists that I didn’t see coming… I’m not sure which was more shocking Erica… or the last page of the book.
As usually, highly recommend this series! Lisa Regan never disappoints!

Husband Missing is the 22nd book in the Detective Josie Quinn series by Lisa Regan. This book can easily be read as a standalone mystery or enjoyed as part of the series! I have not read all the previous books (yet!) and was easily able to read this as a standalone mystery.
I was completely captivated by this book because I needed to know what had happened! I admit that I cried while reading this book. I’ve become so invested in the characters.
If you’re looking for a book that you won’t be able to put down, you have found it!!!
I definitely recommend Husband Missing! I can’t wait for the next book to be published; I know it will be a great one!

Husband Missing (Detective Josie Quinn Book 22) by Lisa Regan
Publisher: Bookouture
Genre: Mystery & Thrillers
Expected Publication Date: March 19, 2025

This is book #22 in the Josie Quinn series. Whilst it is part of a series, it can easily be read as a standalone book. If you've read the other books in the series, you'll know that Josie Quinn has been on quite a journey over the last 22 books! This book takes Josie back to her past when her home is broken into and her husband, Noah is abducted. She needs to delve into her past to try and piece together the mystery of where he is and why he was taken.
This was a gripping read! I've read all the other books in the series, so I feel like I know the characters really well! I've always liked Josie's character and felt for her throughout this story with everything that was happening to her. The book begins with the investigation into a local murder, but it quickly becomes clear that there is more to this than meets the eye. I loved seeing the other characters coming together to support Josie and, in this book, I particularly liked her relationship with her sister Trinity. Josie's newest member of the team, Turner, continues to irritate Josie but he also secures his place in the team a little bit more every time we see him! As I've said in past reviews, I really like his character and find he adds a little bit of humour into these dark storylines! His relationship with Josie is getting better with every book, and the banter between them is great!
The investigation into Noah's disappearance brings up so many memories from Josie's past and some of these are quite shocking and upsetting. The storyline twists and turns throughout and the mystery as to what is happening is held throughout, leaving me in suspense. I didn't find the storyline as fast paced as others, but the slow burn in it built up the tension nicely and held my attention throughout, leaving me hooked till the last page. The ending does leave Josie's story wide open for the next book to pick back up from and I can't wait for the next instalment in her life! Great read...again, and would definitely recommend!

Book 22 and my absolute favorite in the series! This set me on my butt with the twists, turns, the layers of the suspense and so much more. As Josie is counting the hours her husband is missing so are we. As she becomes frustrated with being side lined so are we. My heart was pounding with trepidation through must of the book. The ending? Oh my. Bring on book 23! Thank you for the advanced copy. I freely share my honest thoughts and opinions. #HusbandMissing #DetectiveJosieQuinn #LisaRegan #Bookouture #NetGalley

I have loved all of Lisa Regan’s books but Husband Missing might be my favorite. It was so different than any of her other books and I really enjoyed that. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time and only relaxed at the end. If you’re looking for a non stop thrill ride look no further, I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Book 22 in this very popular well written series has Noah missing from home and Josie Quinn at the end of her tether. It's action packed, great plotting and a whole host of characters. I love Turner, he is a great addition to the team and the cliffhanger ending just left me wanting more!

Detective Josie Quinn finally has her life on track. She and her husband/colleague Noah have been approved to adopt and are waiting on the news that they have a child. As Josie knows all too well, life has a way of becoming complicated in the blink of an eye. A new case takes her away from the task of painting the nursery, and when she returns home to find the house a wreck and Noah missing. While the team seeks to find Noah, she and her sister Trinity do their own investigative work. It becomes obvious that somehow the woman who kidnapped Josie as a baby now dead is involved. The race is intense and suspenseful as Josie refuses to give up on finding Noah alive. The book is a great read, and I can't wait to see what happens next!

Lisa Regan never disappoints. I really enjoyed this latest instalment of the Josie Quinn series. Well written, exciting and an intriguing ending.
