Husband Missing, Detective Josie Quinn book 22, by Lisa Regan
I don't know how this series continues to get better with each book but it does. This is one of my absolute favorite series. We got to see a slightly different side of Josie and Trinity in this one, but what really grabbed my attention was Turner. I think I might like him? But he can still be so abrasive... but I might like now?
Great mystery from start to finish. I couldn't put it down. Can't wait for more.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book made me ugly cry.! All the feels. The mystery kept me guessing until the very end. The dedication the police teams show to Josie, searching tirelessly to find Noah was so impressive, still hoping for Turner to step up, lol.

Detective Josie Quinn comes home to find her home ransacked and her husband Noah missing. There’s blood everywhere and she fears the worst. But when she searches the garage, she finds a bloody set of Noah’s hand prints by a hidden box containing her dead mother’s things. Belinda Rose is dead and while Josie frantically searches for Noah, she must confront the demons left by her abusive mother.
Twenty-second book in the series best read in order. This one is exceptional! Thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for an early copy in exchange for an honest review.

This is book 22 in the Detective Josie Quinn series and oh my goodness get your box of tissues ready as believe me you are going to need them …. What an outstounding ending it was.
I have loved each and every book so far in this stupendous series but this one was something special for me and by far it deserves more than the 5 stars I can give.
The writing was just perfect and the storyline addictive I loved being back with all the characters, yes even douchebag he is really growing on me and I feel there is a lot more to be known about him in the future, fingers crossed.
I don’t want to say a lot more about this read as I don’t want to give any hints as to what happens but if like me you’re a big fan of Josie Quinn then I promise you’re going to love this one and if you haven’t already read any of the series please do give it a go its far too good to miss.
So a stupendous read clever, addictive and just perfect what more could you ask for and thank you Lisa Regan wow girl you excelled yourself with this one, what a tearjerker!
My thanks also to NetGalley and Bookouture for giving me the opportunity to read the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

HOLY COW! When I was bawling in Chapter 15, I knew this was going to br quite the ride. And I wasn't wrong. This book had me feeling so many things! Lisa Regan writes an incredible story every time, but this one is by far the most amazing, heart-wrenching & heart-warming story ever!!

I was given this book by NetGalley for an honest review-
Josie comes home to find her husband missing and their home trashed.
There is a demonstration outside a children’s hospital- a woman killed- the prints on the knife that killed her are the same as in Josie’s home. What connects these two cases. Where is Noah? Is he alive? Why was he taken? Could this be related to her childhood and her monster mother. Does she dare open the box with her mothers memories?
is related to her childhood and her monster mother

The latest addition to the Josie Quinn series by Lisa Regan, Book 22, titled "Husband Missing," is a totally engaging and thrilling read that dives deeper into the lives of our favorite characters.
This isn't your typical case for the team; it's deeply personal. Noah, Josie's husband and a colleague of the team, has gone missing. To make matters more intense, this case is somehow linked to another one Josie caught earlier that morning. As the investigation unfolds, a connection emerges to Lila, the woman who abducted Josie as a child. This revelation brings to light more details about Lila's background, life, and her trail of destruction.
Throughout the book, you'll experience moments of panic, sadness, shock, love and laughter. The integration of the characters and the case is brilliantly interwoven, showcasing why I love this series so much. The character development is truly exceptional, making each story even more captivating.

I really enjoyed this book. Lisa took it to a whole new lever.
The fact Josie was not allowed to “work the cases” made it all so different even though she did her own little investigation.
I loved the characters and how the relationship with Turner took a turn.
Just an all around great read. This whole series is fantastic and well worth reading.

I could not put this book down. It’s my favorite of the series so far. The tension and utter heartache Quinn felt just poured out through the entirety of the book. The crimes were neatly interwoven. The writing is incredible. I found myself holding my breath several times. I highly recommend this book. The ending was a true shocker. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced free copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley.

The term "unputdownable" was invented for this one! Tense, nail biting, chair gripping, and a definitely lack of sleep, so be prepared. One of the best detective series out there and just keeps getting better. Past and present collide and secrets long held come to light, just wow. Can read as standalone, but the whole series is worth it.

Bonus star alert!!!
First I adore this author and the Josie Quinn series is top notch. That being said I think this is one of my absolute favourite Josie Quinn’s so far. We get to go back to that terrifying past that we all went through with Josie, but this time Noah is missing and it somehow ties back to her past. Oh my gosh the twists and turns in this one!!! I could not put this down. An absolute rollercoaster of emotions and fear. Breakneck speed. Had to read this all in one sitting because one you crack that first chapter you will NEED to read till the end before you can breathe again.
Amazing and unputdownable

Whenever Lisa Regan publishes a new Josie Quinn mystery, I make certain to read it as soon as possible. I'm not certain how the author does it but each installment seems to get better and better. Noah is missing and Josie is officially off the case but can she really stop herself from following any lead that could help bring him home? The author does an incredible job of tieing Josie's family history into this mystery in a way that is organic and makes so much sense once all of the pieces come together. As usual- I am left wanting more and the book ends in aplace where I want to know NOW what is going to happen next!!!

EVERY. DANG. TIME.
Lisa Regan baffles me EVERY TIME because- How does she do it? Every installment of the Josie Quinn Series is SO GOOD. You would think that at some point the series might lose some of it's mojo. But it NEVER does! Number 22 does not disappoint!
This one starts out with a bang- Josie's goes home to her house in shambles, blood everywhere and her husband missing. The ride just keeps going at breakneck speed from there.
We visit Josie's past a lot in this one. We also get to see more of Trinity, Josie's sister, as Josie leans on her to help her solve the case.
Another well written, intense installment of this series that I absolutely have to give 5 stars!
Thank you to the author, the publisher and Netgalley for the ARC of this novel in exchange for my honest review.

Thanks to Lisa and NetGalley for allowing me to read Husband Missing before the publication date.
Lisa wastes no time before the reader is thrown into the rollercoaster of a story.
The prologue is set 12 years ago. The reader is introduced to Bug, a young girl hungry and inadequately clothed for the weather, sitting on a rock outside the “magic mansion”, waiting for her mother to return.
Jump to the present day.
Lila Jensen, the woman who had abducted and abused Josie as a child, is dead.
Josie and Noah have applied to adopt a child and they are spending their day off preparing the nursery.
Josie is called to attend a fatal road accident outside the building site for the new Children’s Hospital.
Only weeks earlier, one of a group of teenagers who had broken into the site to party, had died in an accident. Today a group of residents are protesting outside at the lack of security on the site.
On arrival, Josie realises that this is much more complicated than a road accident. The victim is identified as Gina Phelan, the company attorney for Phelan Construction which is building the hospital, and daughter of the owner.
Hours later, she returns home to find the house has been ransacked, Noah is missing and bloody hand marks are on the walls, leading to the box of Lila’s possession which had been stored out of site.
Family and friends turn up to support Josie as the search for Noah continues, although Noah’s sister Laura seems more intent in causing trouble.
Frustrated at being barred from the investigation, Josie teams up with her sister, TV journalist, Trinity to carry out their own investigation.
Can they find Noah in time?
There will be many twists, turns and red herrings and long kept secrets will be revealed.

I love all the books in this series but those that reference the psychopathic Lila Jensen are always just that little bit more compelling. As well as brimming with tension and mystery this is an extremely emotive story, I think I was in tears by chapter 5 and I was still reaching for the tissues at the very end. The trauma of her husband's abduction is compounded for Josie when she learns that it may be connected in some way to Lila. Even though the evil woman who raised Josie is long dead her legacy keeps coming back to spread its malignance into her life. As this book ends with the promise of an equally good follow up I will be waiting for it with bated breath.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book.

Really fantastic plot and characters! I loved Josie and Trinity and the supporting cast of characters! They made me want to cry with them, cheer for them, etc. Plot was well paced and kept moving. Part of a series but I didn't necessarily have to have read the previous books. Lots of stuff that made me really want to read other books by this author. A bit unrealistic, but a solid 4 stars!

Lisa Regan outdid herself with this one! Hands down the BEST one yet and the ending - whoa. Unputdownable just like Bookouture says! I can't wait to see what happens next with Josie and Noah. This series never gets old. If you haven't read the Josie Quinn series, you are 100% missing out.
Thank you #netgalley and #bookoture for the eARC.

This was a good story, but a little hard to keep track of who everyone was and how they were were involved. This is the kind of story best read in one sitting so you don't forget anything. Even at the end, I still had to think about it to keep everyone straight in my mind. I was also nervous for one of the main characters. Can't really say more about that without giving away the story. Despite having a tough time trying to remember who and how all these characters were related, I did enjoy the story. Not my favorite book of the series, but it did have all my favorite things in a Josie Quinn book. Like more of Josie and Noah of course, and the police department coming together to help one of their own, familiar characters and locations. I just felt like the plot of this particular book was a little far fetched and confusing. Will I stop reading this series though...absolutely not! At this point, I'm more invested in the personal lives of these characters than I am with the crimes they solve. So for as long as this series continues, I will be reading them.

Josie gets called out on a case. When she returns home, she finds her house trashed and her husband, Noah, missing. There’s blood everywhere. When it’s discovered that the case she was called out to respond to has connections to Noah’s disappearance, she’s not allowed to officially stay on the case. But that won’t stop Josie.
I swear I aged 10 years with this story, especially with that gunshot! More secrets from Josie’s past are revealed and lead her to unexpected clues in the case. And that little teaser at the end, oh my! An edge-of-your-seat, adrenaline pumping thriller. Can’t wait for the next book in this amazing series.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

So good! Lisa Regan's Husband Missing is a gripping thriller that mixes personal trauma with a tense investigation, making it a must-read for fans of psychological suspense. From the very first page, the stakes are set high as Detective Josie Quinn returns home to find her world shattered. The emotional depth of Josie's character, coupled with the difficult circumstances of her husband's disappearance, creates an intense atmosphere that kept me on the edge of my seat. The discovery of Noah's bloodied handprints and the unsettling connection to her mother’s abusive history adds a layer of complexity to the plot. The pacing of the novel is great; the author balances the investigation of the murder of one character with Josie’s desperate search for her husband. Each twist and turn feels organic.
Husband Missing is not just a thriller; it’s an exploration of resilience in the face of fear and the lengths one will go to protect their loved ones. The author's writing is vivid, making it easy to immerse oneself in Josie's world—the high stakes, the emotional turmoil, and the heart-pounding suspense.
Husband Missing is another standout in the genre and this series and a testament to the author's talent as a storyteller. Fans of mystery and suspense will find themselves captivated by Josie's fight against her demons, making this an unforgettable read. I would highly recommend this book, this series, and this author. Start from Book 1 and enjoy the ride!
