Okay, so this book? Absolutely wild. It’s like a dream that you kinda understand while you’re in it, but then you wake up and go, “Wait… what just happened?” And honestly? I loved every second of it.

It’s got that whole “history repeats itself” thing, but in the most extra way possible—generations of the same family, tangled up in fate, mistakes, and yes, so much solitude. But somehow, between all the magical butterflies, prophecies, and just the right amount of weird, it totally works. The writing? Gorgeous. The vibes? Immaculate. And the whole cyclical time thing? Mind-blowing.

It’s definitely one of those books that sticks with you, even if you don’t fully get it the first time. But honestly, I think that’s part of the magic.

Huge thanks to NetGalley for the audiobook in exchange for my honest review!

I first read this decades ago, and I was excited to see the audiobook. I honestly forgot how gorgeous the language is, and the story sweeps you up right away, making you need to know what is going to happen. The narrator has the most perfect voice for this, with an accent that makes the language even more beautiful. Thanks to NetGalley for letting me listen to this audiobook.
