Following the events of Phantasma, we find that while Ophelia and Salem have settled into their new eternal home life quite well, Genevieve has long since been suffering from feelings of displacement and abandonment since her childhood. Her journey of self-acceptance leads her to a mysterious manor called, Enchantra. Here, she becomes entangled in a long-standing family curse via a very real, fake marriage.

Enchantra was a great follow up to Phantasma. I loved Vivi and Rowin's story so much. I enjoyed the same deadly trials format and absolutely ate up the marriage/forced proximity tropes. The setting was great, and I loved the glimpse into Hell. I am a little feral for Rowin at this point. Both characters deserve the absolute most. I am proud of Vivi for her growth. I can't wait to see her and Rowin in their own space, living their best lives together.

The ending of this book did a nice job leaving a couple potential threads to be pulled later on. I would love to see all four characters problem solve together next.

Thank you to NetGalley, Kaylie Smith, and Second Sky/Forever for allowing me access to the e-arc.

This was such a fun read. It’s more romantic and spicier than Phantasma. I liked how the story revolves around a family curse, and the siblings have to compete with each other. I will say that I loved Phantasma more. Phantasma had more of a dark atmosphere and wicked games. I wanted a bit more wickedness in this book. Regardless, I enjoyed my reading experience. I can’t wait to read the next book potentially in this series. The way the book ended has me intrigued. I highly recommend this book!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for my Advanced Copy. All thoughts are my own. Just like its predecessor Fantasma, this book had a lot of heat. What impressed me the most was the humor that the author managed to swirl in throughout the book. It made the siblings seem more realistic and enhanced the character development. The underlying story kept you engaged.

I think I would have benefited from reading the first in the series because clearly there were important things that happened that set up for this book. That being said, it was very interesting and kept me reading, albeit, not as spicy as some indicated. The world building was intriguing, I didn't love all of the characters (to be expected considering who they were) but the ones I did enjoy, I really liked. Finished in one sitting. Overall, quick and entertaining with mild spice.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing a digital ARC of this title.

"If You Wanted To Be Choked, All You Had To Do Was Ask."

"I've Really Enjoyed Where I Ask You To Do Something And You Simple Refuse To Fucking Do It."

"All I’ve ever wanted was freedom from this wretched game, and I didn’t even hesitate for a second to give it up.”

“Shadows can only be seen in the presence of light,” he told her, the words agonized. “I worry when you leave, there will be no one left to see me.”

“Love. Loathing. Same passion, different names,” he told her. “And how easily and swiftly the line can be blurred, don’t you think?”

“Before you, I was going to spend my eternity alone, in the darkest parts of Hell. I’d much rather spend a single lifetime in your light."

Kaylie has done it again! At this point I would gladly read her grocery list!

Phantasma was one of my favorite reads last year so I had really high hopes for Enchantra and it did not dissapoint! I already loved Genevieve in her sisters book but I love her even more now! I love how she's outspoken, confident and just unapologetically herself.

I really love the found family trope and I think this book has one of my favorites now! All of Rowin's siblings have stolen my heart and don't even get me started on Umbra his shadow fox familiar!
The tension and the slowburn was delicious and I'm really big on banter so I was very pleased with the fact that there is plenty of that between everyone!

I inhaled this book and was giggling and kicking my feet up constantly and pterodactyl screeching at the end (sqealing does not cover the sounds I made!) The vibes were kinda like Phantasma but also very different if that makes any sense! I can't recommend it enough and I can't wait for the next book!

Thank you so much @kayls @readforeverpub and @secondsky for granting me an early copy

Holy smokes. That was so good! I loved the first one but I think I enjoyed this even more. The ending took me by surprise, I was not at all emotionally prepared for it haha. Rowin is so hot, Genevieve is an airhead with a viper bite and I love her. Getting to know her and story, and they way came together was perfect. Excellent. The story is really well written and well paced. I thoroughly enjoyed this book so much.

Thank you so much to the publisher and NetGalley for this ARC opportunity

I enjoyed this book and I love that it had marriage of convenience and shared bed trope! It was definitely different from the first book but I loved that it still had a game the characters had to play. My main reason this was only a 4 star read is I wished the rounds were different games and not just hide and seek but it made sense for the story line

I appreciated receiving this ARC since I LOVED the first in the series, Phantasma. This was fun, too. 3.5/5

Admittedly, I didn't like this one as much as the first. I LOVED Genevieve, the main character, but I think we needed to see more of the love interest to know his personality and be convinced of their love story. (But there was a lot of action and a lot of characters, so not a lot of room for backstory.) There were some errors and it was a bit slow in the beginning, but I think I got a version that wasn't edited completely so that's understandable.

But overall, I liked it. In fact, I stayed up late reading it because I was hooked. Finished it in less than 24 hours. 🤣 If you look past some things, and you like fantasy romance with action, animals, and magic, you'll most likely enjoy this too.

Just read Phantasma first. The characters return, which I love in a series, and the ending sets up a plot for another book which I'm 👏 totally 👏 here 👏 for 👏.

Also, the quote by Emily Dickinson in the front is one of my favorites. That extra literary touch in these books just does it for me. 💕

4.75 Stars

YASS, I love this series! Genevieve was actually so iconic and Rowin and his family had me cracking up! Although I liked Phantasma more (I thought Ophelia and Salem were cuter and the phantasma game was better), this book was still really, really good! I am hoping and praying that there is going to be another book in this series!! Fingers crossed everyone!

I LOVED Phantasma and this installment is equally amazing. The overall vibes and atmosphere felt different from Phantasma and it was an overall extremely fun and entertaining read. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

THIS WAS SO MUCH FUN!!! I am obsessed with this series so far, and dare i say, know who the next book is going to be about???? And if I’m right!? I am foaming at the mouth for it🥵 And the little twist at the end was honestly so good!

Rowin was 🥵 he didn’t beat out my boy Blackwell, but he was close for sure. Now, i did love Genevieve, but i do wish she would’ve been able to save herself every once in a while, instead of always relying on everyone else. UMBRA SOUNDS LIKE THE CUTEST AND I NEED CHARACTER ART OF HIM ASAP!!! I loved that little fox.

I've rounded up my rating to 4 stars becuase there were some good and some bad parts about Enchantra.

On the negative side, I put down the plot. I mean, it was Phantasma 2.0. Genevieve Finds herself in Enchantra, which is basically Phantasma but in a different place with a different meaning of existance. Also the ending, felt quite similar to Phantasma's.

But, and that's a big but for me, I have really enjoyed reading it, and I've read Enchantra in less than two days. I was intrigued with Rowin, the mmc, his siblings and everything else surrounding their lives. And Umbra!!! I definitely love Umbra.

Overall, I liked Enchantra, even though it wasn't as a exciting as Phantasma when I read it the first time. Still, the story is intriguing enough that I'll definitely continue the series.

THank you Forever Publishing and NetGalley for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

When we had the opportunity to interview Kaylie about Phantasma for the podcast, she expressed worry about how different Enchantra was. Whether or not readers would connect. I can see where some might struggle given how opposite the vibes are or maybe not connect like they did book 1, however I personally devoured this book. Ate it right up. Left noooo crumbs 👏🏼

The homage to “Ready or Not” was so strong and I loved it so incredibly much. I adored Genevieve’s spark and sass in comparison to Ophelia. The stakes were different, ultimately a little lower, but the threats felt just as strong when they were present. The vivid & lush descriptions around Enchantra were stunning—I felt like I was there. The undeniable tug of Rowin & Vivi was intoxicating. I really enjoyed the family dynamics (Sevin hi ily) and seeing the moment the epilogue came back around was so satisfying.

Lastly, all I have to say is…A Hot New Shadowdaddy Has Entered the Villa 🥵😮‍💨🌶️

Thank you to Kaylie, and Forever/Second Sky for the eARC. We cannot WAITTTT to chat about this one too!!💜

Welcome to my new comfort read! I am obsessed with both Phantasma & now Enchantra.

I am obsessed with Genevieve and I want to be her bestie. She's a girl who can handle herself, but not in an overpowered, chosen one kind of way. She has a lot of the qualities of her sister, Ophelia from Phantasma, however, she's funnier, wittier and louder than life. Does she have mommy issues? Duh. But at least there's an angsty, arrogant shadow daddy to have a marriage of convenience with so she can try to survive another deadly competition.

The chemistry between Rowin and Vivi was phenomenal. It is a marriage of convenience done right, the two of them are so attracted to each other it hurts. Thankfully they're good at putting on a show to win the competition. As they go through this fake romantic alliance, they start playing a game in a way to ground themselves: "truth, truth, lie". Every time they played, they kept getting closer and I was desperate for them to admit their love.

If you enjoyed the movie Ready or Not you might enjoy this fantastical version of it. I would say it's more Reluctant Allies to Lovers than Enemies to Lovers.

My brain has been wonky all month so it took me a moment to remember who the heck Genevieve was. Trust me, I am scolding myself for being confused at all this month. My brain cells are on vacation. I'm sorry, okay.

Anywaaay this follows Genevieve who has accepted an invite to her mother's old friends estate. Well, accepts an invite not really extended to her as it was addressed to her mother, but who cares about minor details like that. Well Rowin does. The son of that very friend turns her away but Genevieve is stubborn and she slips inside the estate anyway.

And so the trouble begins. In order to have a chance at survival Genevieve must marry Rowin and pretend to be in love with him all while trying not to get murdered by any of his siblings. Why would she have to worry about murder? Well, his family has been stuck playing a very disturbed version of hide and seek. The winner gets a year of freedom. The losers...well they die and go to hell until the next competition. This works out for Rowin and his family, but not so much Genevieve. She's not immortal. Rowin isn't offering this marriage out of the kindness of his heart either. There is most definately something in it for him as well: eternal freedom. Knox has a loophole that if one of the siblings gets married and convinces their spouse to join the hunt, they can play together for one season, and the reward if they win is the couple is permanently released from the hunt.

"Genevieve, you have to choose to live for yourself. You are the most real thing you’ll ever be able to experience. Your light. Your determination. You can search every corner of the universe for something else and it will never be enough if you’re trying to escape yourself. I don’t know who told you that you weren’t good enough, but they were fucking wrong. You’re more than good enough. Your heart is more than good enough. No matter how many times it has been burned . How many scars it might have. It will keep on beating, brave and passionate, if you will only let it.”

The tears I shed because when I tell you I was literally so put off by Genevieve at first but over the course of the book she really grew on me. I started seeing her as more selfless and brave. Sure she makes infuriating and stubborn decisions but when it mattered the most she really rose to the top.

[“Truth, truth, lie,” he told her.

You’re such a self-centered bastard. Truth. I deserve to be the center of my own story. Truth. I was not made for you. Lie.

“How else have you managed to get so deep under my skin in such a short amount of time? Why is it that every time I try to imagine what it would be like to sever our vows, I feel like the Hunting Blade is piercing my heart? Fifteen years I’ve lived for everyone else around me. I’ve withered away in this damned place. Until you showed up and you made me laugh. You gave me hope.” (hide spoiler)]

Thank you to Forever for providing me with an eArc. What a ride this was!

“𝑻𝒐𝒖𝒄𝒉 𝒉𝒆𝒓. 𝑰 𝒅𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖.”

This woman is a literal genius. 👏🏼 With this being book 2 and Phantasma being absolute perfection, I went into this very skeptical that it would hold up… I was honestly terrified of the second book curse… But I was scared for no reason. I’m not sure how Kaylie continues to write books that have every single thing my greedy little heart desires, but she doesn’t just do it, she knocks it out of the fucking park. 🙌🏼 From the plot, to the world, to the romance. It’s all there in a magical combination of awesomeness.

“𝑳𝒆𝒕 𝒎𝒆 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒘 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒊𝒕’𝒔 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒎𝒚 𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒆, 𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒃𝒍𝒆.”

The romance builds nicely and the pace is just right. The 𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡. 😮‍💨 They are forced into a situation that makes for a very fun time. The spice is done SO WELL. Like Phantasma, it isn’t cringy. It doesn’t have the dreaded “folds” in it, or other gross descriptions. It hits just right. There’s just enough to add to the story without overpowering the plot. I won’t say more, just buckle up, and enjoy the ride! 🥵

“𝒀𝒐𝒖’𝒓𝒆 𝒎𝒚 𝒇𝒂𝒗𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒆 𝒇𝒖𝒄𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒇𝒍𝒂𝒗𝒐𝒓.”

I’m SCREAMING for more. Please let book 3 have more of the Silver family… 🙏🏼 There are a few brothers I’m 𝗗𝗘𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗘 to read a story about… 👀😏

Thank you to Netgalley, and the publisher, for sending me an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I would like to say WOW!! I mean WOOOW, this book was incredible! Plot, characters, banter, everything! It has been a long while since I have read anything that hooked me right from the start! I won't give anything away but this is one of my top reads of the year! The author is so talented and I really hope she has more for us! You will not regret reading this! Trust me!!

Enchantra, book two of the Wicked Games series, starts off with the same grim and magical energy as the first book, but this time we are following the younger sister’s story. Genevieve Grimm is on the hunt for some answers after drifting through life the past year.

My favorite kind of FMC is the one who doesn’t take no for an answer and always pushes towards achieving their hopes and dreams. Genevieve fits the bill perfectly and add in some delicious stubbornness and I’m sold. Her confidence also radiates off of her and it’s nice to read a woman DO HER THING.

After being hexed with a murder or crows pushing her to accept the invitation to the Enchantra Estate, she heads to Italy determined to get some answers. Two attempts to entering the Estate later, and confronting a tall, shadowy brute who makes her presence unwanted very known, she discovers that because she stepped foot into the home, she’s no longer allowed to leave. This time, Genevieve signed herself up unknowingly for another wicked game. Essentially after a Devil bargain gone wrong, the Silver siblings (seven in total) is trapped into a year murder competition called the Hunt and may the best sibling win.

Trust is a fickle thing especially since Genevieve is put into position of marrying Rowington (the kids names are hysterical) in order to be able to compete in the Hunt rather than immediately losing her life for being unable to participate.

The pacing was perfect, the plot kept my heart racing the entire time and my mind was reeling trying to clue together what was actually happening versus what was an illusion or lie. I instantly fell for every single one of the other Silver siblings and can’t even imagine the trauma of yearly killing competition between them. I’m hoping to see a little bit more of resolution between Rowin and his twin in the next books because that aspect grappled my heart and hasn’t stopped twisting.

Now when you see this is called a “Spicy Fantasy Romance” it is not lying. I was kicking my little feet and gasped a couple of times along the way. Not only is it spicy but there are plenty of mini-games played in between where you really get to see the love grow between the love interests before it’s too much for either of them to know what to do with.

This book pulled me right back in! When "Phantasma" was first released, I was drawn to it by the world building that Smith brilliantly penned and Enchantra is a continuation of that same world. Now focusing on the other sister, Genevieve, who is a spectre, the book follows her as she navigates a new competition in a sprawling palace and labyrinth in Italy. I felt more connected to Genevieve and loved her candor. The plot thickens as the story unfolds and the author continues to build the setting throughout the novel. There was the horror element that was present in the first book which caught me by surprise in the beginning but then reminded me of book one. It was consistent and book two felt like the perfect place to continue after Phantasma. I loved the introduction of the animals and their connection to the other beings involved in the story. Overall, I think Enchantra was even better than book one and I absolutely loved it! For anyone that enjoyed book one, this is a MUST READ!

I quite enjoyed Phantasma and was thrilled to receive an ARC of Enchantra. Enchantra was a five star read. I wasn’t sure if it would live up to Phantasma but I actually enjoyed it a bit more. The relationships and banter between Genevieve and Rowin was so entertaining and hilarious. The spice was well done. I also quite enjoyed the banter between Genevieve and the Silver siblings was so funny and enjoyable. I can’t wait to buy the book for my personal shelf and to recommend to everyone I know.
