I really enjoyed book one of this series but I loved this one. There was a fake dating/marriage, shadow magic, a romantic couple that both had actual personalities, and character development. The plot also had emotional stakes. The book also had a twist that I wasn’t expecting. The side characters even got a bit fleshed out and there was a good set up for book 3 of the series. Honestly this could be a possible 6 star read for me.

Thank you Netgalley for the ARC of this book for my honest review.
I will say this that the first book has so much more to offer than this book. I felt it to still be fun and exciting but the games are just more boring and the characters sub in more games to make up for it (in my opinion).
Now I will say that the ending of this book definitely leaves it open for book 3 which I hope will pick up and have more spooky feel like book 1.
Another issue is I read book 1 as an audiobook and I physically read this book so if the narration is better and gives that feel I got before I will update my review then but overall it's a good book.

Dropped everything to read this one! This book is SO good. Genevieve is such a funny, sassy, confident character. I love that she’s strong and smart and also cares about her hair and wardrobe. Rowin is the shadow man of our dreams. He is loyal, patient, and learning to trust. The tension between these two is delicious.
Vivi gets thrown into yet another deadly game in Enchantra, through the Hunt. Going into this book I was afraid it would feel too much like Phantasma with that element. I was happily proven wrong and this book had great connections and call backs to book 1, while being its own distinct thing.
The story takes a moment to gain momentum but every second is with it! I love the dangerous games, deals with Devils, fake relationship, a forced marriage that actually makes sense, and I loved the dynamics of the Silver family.
Rowin and Genevieve belong to each other.
Looking forward to more from this series.

I loved Phantasma so much, so I would So excited when I saw this new book from Kaylie Smith.
I loved this one as much as Phantasma, the vibes are everything!
I really hope there will be more!

I have been looking forward to this book since I finished Phantasma and was NOT disappointed!!
She did it again. LOVED this book, and read it so quickly! I love when something holds my attention enough that I don't want to put it down, and this did exactly that.
This was a lot of fun, with a marriage of convenience, and Ready or Not meets elements of The Hunger Games. I loved the siblings (those names, though LOL) and all of their personalities and how they interact with each other. Genevieve is my girl, with her "I do what I want" attitude mixed with her princess vibes. Not afraid to get dirty, but would prefer not to. LOL. And Rowin...tall, dark, handsome, a bit broody and a bit quiet, a shadow wraith? Yes, please.
I've really, really enjoyed this series so far and I cannot wait for the next installment!!
HUGE thank you to the teams at Forever & Second Sky for the e-ARC!! I screamed at work when it was received.

Engaging and fast paced plot. Not my personal cup of tea…but lovers of Dark Romance will devour this!

First of all, my husband’s face when I freaked out over receiving this arc was hilarious! The biggest thanks to NetGalley for allowing me to read it!!!
Genevieve “Vivi” Grimm is supposed to be enjoying herself in Rome, but has actually made plans to visit the Silver Estate hoping to find a family like hers. Rowington “Rowin” Silver (shadow daddy!!!) isn’t letting her get through that front door though. She eventually apparates her way in and the regret hits her pretty quickly. Vivi has to choose between death or playing different versions of deadly hide and seek. Thank goodness Rowin offers to help her out, but only if she helps him too…
I freaking loved this! The ending had me a little worried, but dang did it end up being perfect. It also seems like the series will be continuing! I honestly expected a 3 star read because that’s how it normally goes with the 2nd book in a series. I was so wrong! Enchantra has a lot of the same elements that Phantasma had, but in its own separate ways. I cannot wait for the release date so I can buy a physical copy!

WOAH!!!!! i really enjoyed this!!! i was hooked from the beginning and couldn’t put it down. i was on the edge of my seat the entire time!! rowington silver and genevieve enter a fake dating situation when she enters enchantra in order to win the game. this was full of lots of action, spice, twists, and the ending????? AH!!!! i highly recommend this series!!! i cannot wait to see what is next in this universe.

Kaylie Smith does it again! I was so happy to dive back into her storytelling after Phantasma. Enchantra is a definite change of scenery, and it suits Genevieve and her personality perfectly. I appreciated the complex sibling/family dynamics and how they get shown through during the hunts. But the cherry on top had to be the ending - so beautifully written and resolved (and the choice Rowin made!) was a great parallel to Ophelia's story too.

Thank you to Teams Forever and Second Sky for sending me an ARC and submerging me into this world again! I loved that second book followed Phantasmas theme of game and trials while focusing on a new characters! I loved loved loved family dynamics in this one where every single character seemed morally grey. While the ending was pretty much happily ever after there was plenty of drama and plot twist at the end. Escorted to see what the third book will bring😍

5/5 stars! I absolutely loved this book! I really enjoyed Phansasma but I loved Enchantra. I was hooked from the very first chapter and I couldn’t put this book down. Enchantra follows the other Grimm sister Genevieve and her journey finding herself at enchantra. At Enchantra she meets the mysterious Rowington Silver and they end up in a fake relationship/ marriage of convenience. I didn’t want this book to end and hopefully we get a third book in the series in the near future.
This book is releasing April 8, 2025. Thank you so much to Second Sky/ Forever Publishing, Kaylie Smith and Netgalley for the opportunity to read an advanced copy of this book.

This book picks up right from the beginning and doesn’t stop. With something for everyone from a lot of action to plot twists and spice. This book is a wonderful successor to phantasma in every way

Phantasma drew me in with its premise, and I was drawn to Enchantra for the same reason. Deadly games, a cursed family, and a marriage of convenience sounded like a recipe for a damn good time. However, while there were some enjoyable and entertaining moments, the bulk of the story underwhelmed me.
Things I Enjoyed:
* The Concept - The Hunter and game selection was interesting, though I would have loved for the games themselves to be more action-packed. To my OG Charmed fans, I got some serious “Witch Wars” episode vibes here.
* The Silver Family - Despite their unfortunate names, I grew fond of the Silver clan. The stakes in these games were different from those in Phantasma due to the family element, and how one of the characters explains it combined with how those stakes are shown got to me.
* The Familiars - Umbra is the GOAT (even though she’s a fox).
* The Ending - Letter writing is my weakness. How it all played out was clever and romantic.
Things I Struggled With:
* Genevieve - I didn’t relate to her in the way I did to Ophelia in the first book, and there wasn’t anything particularly likable about her. I’m also disappointed that her magic wasn’t explored more. The one incident where there was potential was left at that.
* Some of the Spice - The circumstances surrounding their first time fully together irked me.
* Needing Something Special - Aside from his abundant piercings, there was nothing particularly outstanding about our MMC Shadow Daddy. The same holds true for the supporting characters. They were all entertaining enough but not especially unique or memorable.
* The Time Period - I had this same issue with Phantasma, but I still cannot fathom where in time we are. The language/colloquialisms, attire, and situations do not compute. Vivi doing those games in gowns also aggravated me.
* The Overuse of the Word “Fucking” - 73 times. It often read as trying too hard to sound edgy or cool.
My experience reading Enchantra was similar to Phantasma in that both were entertaining enough to see through but left me bummed by some missed opportunities. Because both have been just okay for me, I don’t know that I’ll continue with the series.
**Thank you to Forever Publishing and NetGalley for an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.**

I went into this book fully expecting to love it—I’m a very proud Phantasma fangirl—yet somehow, Kaylie Smith still managed to blow my mind with this novel. So. Freaking. Good.
This story hooks you from the start and never, not for a single moment, lets you go. I adored Ophelia and Blackwell’s story… but, between you and me, I think I loved Genevieve and Rowin’s even more.
You’ve got all the spooky vibes—another unpredictable, deeply atmospheric haunted mansion, more meddling devils, FAMILIARS, and a ridiculously fun, slightly psychotic (in the best way) family of immortal siblings cursed to participate in an annual hide-and-seek hunt—with lots of murder. Think Ready or Not.
I truly cannot recommend this book enough, along with Phantasma. Kaylie Smith is absolutely one to watch, and I can’t wait to see where she takes us next in this universe.
So grateful to have received an early copy of Enchantra. Trust me—you’re gonna want to get your hands on this one ASAP!
(You bet your butts I preordered the special edition of this from B&N to get my hands on an exclusive chapter)

This was a good follow-up to book one, and it had the lore, games, and romance that made for a good read. The fmc Vivi has grown up kinda hiding her magic and being in her sister's shadow. She finds herself in a manor trying to compete to win a wicked game. She teams up with the mmc Rownan for a forced marriage, and the chemistry and tension was so so good. The way I loved the mmc Rownan, I love a good shadow wielding and pieced mmc. Like he was hot, broody, and the banter was so good. The games to weren't as intense as in the first book, but I loved the slow burn and watching the characters fall in love and do things to protect each other. A good dark(not as dark as the first) romantasy with lots of fun family dynamics. Thanks to Read Forever for this arc for an honest review.

Enchantra by Kaylie Smith is what happens when you take a gothic fairy tale, add a deadly game, and sprinkle in some enemies-to-lovers tension that could set the whole cursed palace on fire.
This book is dripping in A Court of Thorns and Roses meets The Hunger Games energy, with high-stakes romance, beautifully eerie worldbuilding, and just the right amount of morally gray antiheroes to make you question your taste in men. If you love dark fantasy with tension so thick you could cut it with a cursed dagger, Enchantra is your next obsession.

As a huge fan of Phantasma, I was THRILLED to receive this arc of Enchantra. They are so magical, intriguing, spicy, and wonderful. Highly recommend to fans of Caraval, spice, and romantasy.
Thank you to NetGalley for this gifted eARC in exchange for my honest review.

Genevieve Grimm has always felt she’s been on the outskirts of love…from her mother, her acquaintances, and her partners. So, when she receives an invitation to visit the Enchantra estate in Italy, she accepts, hoping to find someone else like her. When she encounters Rowin Silver, their first meeting doesn’t go well and he adamantly tries sending her away. Genevieve is not deterred and determined to find answers, but once she enters Enchantra against Rowin’s wishes she finds herself caught up in a centuries long Hunt, that the family has been cursed to participate in by the estate’s devilish owner, Knox. Now she has to find a way to survive Rowin’s family during the Hunt and navigate her feelings for the exasperating Rowin, who she finds herself in a fake relationship with, in order to stay alive and free his family.
I loved Smith’s first book in the Wicked Games series, Phantasma, and Enchantra did not disappoint!! I was hooked at the very beginning of the story, and ready to find out more about Genevieve, after having Ophelia’s story in the first book. Genevieve makes for a fun FMC in Enchantra. She is funny, stubborn, witty, and a little forlorn. She’s had a hard time feeling loved, especially since her mother invested so much in Ophelia, knowing she would be the one to inherit their mother’s magic once she passed away.
The setting of Enchantra’s storyline is similar to Phantasma, in that both books, the characters must participate in games/hunts set up by one of the many devils in hell. In Enchantra, the Silver siblings (7 of them), have been caught up in the Hunt for centuries due to a curse. I really liked getting to know the various siblings and seeing their family dynamics throughout the story. Sevin was definitely my favorite among the side characters, and he totally gave me Damon vibes (from The Vampire Diaries).
Enchantra employs one of my favorite book tropes…marriage of convenience and Genevieve and Rowin go through a banter-filled loath to love relationship in the story. I loved how Smith used the games, during the Hunt, to progress Genevieve and Rowin’s relationship. The Hunt also allowed Genevieve the growth her character needed, as she discovered her worth in finally learning to believe in herself.
I devoured Enchantra in a day, and if you loved Phantasma, I think you will find you love Enchantra just as much! Smith weaves together a beautifully dark fantasy with an unhinged family, scheming devils, breaking a centuries old curse, and a lonely girl looking for the love she’s longed for her entire life. I cannot wait to see what Smith has in store for the next book in the Wicked Games series!!

This book had me hooked from the start! After loving Phantasma, I couldn’t wait to read this one, and it absolutely lived up to my expectations.
The story follows Genevieve, who, after her mother’s death, is desperate for answers. Those answers lead her to Enchantra, a cursed palace where nothing is as it seems. Rowin Silver, refuses to let her in, but Genevieve finds her own way inside. That’s when she realizes her mistake.
The dynamic between Genevieve and Rowin was EVERYTHING. Their banter was amazing
The eerie, high-stakes game at the heart of Enchantra felt like a twisted version of hide and seek, making every moment so fun and spooky!
Beyond the main characters, I loved how each player in the game had their own personality and role.
The writing was completely immersive. I’ll read anything she writes!!
If you love dark, magical settings, crackling tension, and a story that keeps you on edge, this one is a must-read.
Thank you NetGalley, Forever Publishing and Second Sky for this eARC.

If you were saying to yourself, "I'd love to read another book like Phantasma," you're in luck. This is a Phantasma dupe, which is not a bad thing if you enjoyed the original.
Enchantra sticks pretty close to Phantasma's formula: Plucky heroine gets trapped in an elaborate, multi-round game on a large mystical property. Plucky heroine and hot, mysterious, magical guy get thrown together and fall in the lust and love in the process. Secrets may tear them apart. Keep an eye out for the big twist.
Rowin Silver was a great hero--sexy, shadowy (literally), and caring. Genevieve Grimm was somewhere between a brat and a firecracker, and her sense of self-preservation left something to be desired at times. The games were all some version of Hide and Seek, which did make the story a bit repetitive at times. However, Rowin's large, complex family brought enough danger and drama to keep the plot moving along.
Overall, a pretty good sequel. Maybe not the most original, but it brought some in some new elements that were missing from the first book in the series. With a whole cast of Silver siblings, there are plenty of places the series could go from here. Just...maybe not set in another cursed property with an elaborate, multi-round game. Oh, who am I kidding? Even if Book 3 does precisely that, I'll read it.
