This is too precious by half. The manga style of characters with large eyes and the topic does not match. It's really jarring.

Many young adults struggle with the style of writing from this period. A graphic novel is the perfect format to reintroduce individuals to a story that still holds meaning for our culture to this day. The messages contained within are just as important now as they were then.

I definitely enjoyed reading this more so than the actual book. The artwork was stunning and kept me glued to wanting to know what happens next. This definitely should be giving to high school students who find classic novels boring. This spices up the reading experience.

I read the Scarlet Letter in 11th grade for AP so it was fun revisiting the story in manga form!
