More than just funny stories from dating to working with bridezillas, Jen touches on important topics like how hard it can be to decide who to invite to your wedding and bringing up prenups with your partner. Other hard topics like cancelling her wedding due to Covid and the aftermath as well as seeking marriage counseling before they were even married, at her partners request. It is an honest and witty recount of life leading to the altar with some memorable stories of her being a professional bridesmaid sprinkled in along the way.

As someone who is about to marry her person on the fifth anniversary of our first date in a very similar fashion, I got the warm fuzzies reading Jen's story and can't wait to check out more of her work.

Thank you to NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I wasn't familiar with the author or her social media fame prior to seeing this book on here. If I had been, I might have not requested it - there's nothing wrong here, but it's not what I expected. I was looking for a light-hearted and funny read that would be quick and easy and provide a nice distraction from real life. Those things are there, mostly, but unfortunately I really didn't connect to her writing style or voice - which made the read more of a chore than it should have been for me personally. There's nothing wrong with it, it just didn't grab me. I think I'm too old for this one!

Having read Jen Glantz’s previous book, the quirky story of her becoming a bridesmaid for hire,, I was eager to see this update on her life; it only made sense that she would write a book about the development of having gotten married herself. She is an entertaining writer, and reading the short chapters of this book was easy enough. The only issue is that her actual wedding story wasn’t really enough to fill about without the inclusion of an incredible amount of angst, which might be true enough to life but got to be a lot to read about. The best stories in this book are from her bridesmaid-for-hire experiences, though that was the subject of her earlier book. I’d still read future writing of hers because I do think she writes well, but I think she’ll need some different subject matter in the future.

When a psychic tells you No you go ahead and find love.
Jen Glantz a professional bridesmaid never thought she would find Love. Especially in the mean streets of New York City.
This was a fun, short, witty, read about Jen and her destiny of being the bride. She did it and this is her story of how she did it. I love it and I love her story!
