This was a funny romance that doesn't take itself too seriously. It was a laugh out loud in places and cringe worthy in others but this is something I always expect from this author. As long as you can accept this its an easy read not too complicated but sweet none the less. The story has it's serious side with a villain trying to keep the couple apart and the reason for the gracelessness is so hilarious at the end of the story, I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I thoroughly enjoyed this strangers to to lovers historical romantic comedy. The plot is very well written with lots of farcical moments and a whole cast of hilarious characters whose behaviors and interactions made me smile and laugh out loud throughout the book! I often had the feeling that I had ended up in a madhouse: a clumsy heroine, a resilient hero who doesn't know what hit him, a grumpy French valet, peculiar sisters, an eccentric father, a matchmaking, nosy elderly relative, a conniving cousin, a resolute housekeeper…

Lady Grace Nicolet, the second eldest daughter of the Duke of Pelham, comes from an unconventional family with an very eccentric father. Contrary to what you might think from her name, Grace is clumsy and socially awkward. On her journey to her debut in London, she meets Miles Delatore, Viscount Dashlend, to whom she is immediately attracted.
Miles and his butler have just survived a shipwreck when they are found on the beach by the weird Duke of Pelham and his peculiar family. He too is drawn to Grace, and since the incident has given him food for thought, he decides to court Grace, were it not for his scheming cousin and heir, who tries to sabotage a relationship between him and Grace...

If you enjoy historical romances with endearing characters with endearing characters and plenty of LOL moments, you are sure to love this book!

The second of seven daughters, it's Grace's turn for a season. Grace suffers from her constant falling, bumping and stumbling through life. She's adorable and sweet. Dashlend, has spent his time trying to escape his inheritance. He shows up after being dumped by his sailboat and the fun begins. A great read with lots of humor as one father tries to marry off his daughter and another tries to get his son to be responsible.

I do love the family of siblings that feature in this historical romance series. There is so much chaos, you can't help but laugh at it. The characters are wonderful, even the servants.
This time it is the second sister's turn for her "season". She has been living with a problem most of her life. The reason for that is amusing as well.
Our hero and his grandmother will fit in marvellously with our siblings. There are lots of giggles to be had. I'm really looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
I loved it.

Grace is the second daughter of family of 7 sisters. Miles is a Viscount who crashed his sloop on a beach where Grace's family is staying. Everyone in the family is very peculiar, including the father. I love Kate Archer's style - it's very campy. There's even a very notable pet, a dog named Nelson with 3 legs.

PLEASE let the father also get his own story!! He deserves to find love again!

Thank you to Dragonblade for the copy of this book. Opinions are my own.

I love the Duke of Pelham and all the Nicolet daughters. I waited for this second book in the series. They are such a funny, loving family in the most eccentric of ways. Grace is second oldest and next in line to find a husband and get the boot from the Dukes household. All the daughters have names that don’t influence their temperaments. Grace finds her hero shipwrecked with a moody valet and the adventures begin there. There’s a jealous potential heir and a misunderstanding between our couple but in true Nicolet fashion it’s all handled with much hilarity. I can’t wait for the next daughter’s story. Bring on Patience!

Lady Graceless is the second book in A Series of Senseless Complications series. This can be a stand-alone read.

The Duke of Pelham has married off one of his seven daughters and is anxious to have the next in line married off as the new season approaches. While he loves his daughters, he is not shy of voicing his desire to have them all out of the house. It will take a while with the youngest being eight years old. The duke known to be eccentric at best and has raised his daughters to be outspoken, determined, but also loving sisters. On the way to London, they come upon the Baron of Montclave and his French valet on the shore after his boat crashes ashore. As is likely, fate sets Grace and Miles on a path to romance.

The story is highly entertaining with the most eccentric group of people in one book you could come up with. The characters are bluntly honest and well-meaning. This looks to be a wonderful addition to the series.

This second book in A Series of Senseless Complilatuons was captivating and an exciting historical romance. I enjoyed the hilarious reintroduction to the duke and his daughters and their outlandish lifestyles. This story introduces us to a Duke, his despicable cousin, and many emotional issues, and plot twists and turns that were very entertaining. I really enjoyed the delightful outcome and lovely ending. I highly recommend reading!

Lady Graceless by Kate Archer is the second in a series of stories about a family of seven daughters and a very eccentric duke as their father. The lady’s name is really Grace but since she is anything but, she has gained the moniker Graceless. To hear their father speak of them one would assume he couldn’t wait to be rid of them but the reality was that he loved them all and wanted nothing more than happiness for them. They lived in the country so his eccentricities weren’t really noticed, except when they went to Town for the Season and the Marriage Mart. And their aunt was the opposite of her brother: humorless. This caused strife in the household. As they had a housekeeper running their home, their aunt felt the need to hire a butler. They had already dispatched two butlers and there was no doubt the third would leave in the same manner.

This is a totally amusing book. Nothing is serious, which is a nice change of pace. The girls have inherited some oddities from their father, but none of them had inherited all of them. They still had a little sister who was a child, and they doted on her. One hilarious thing happens after another, and yet, Grace is a lovely girl who finds love. Such a fun read!

Lady Graceless is the second book in the A Series of Senseless Complications Series by Kate Archer. Overall, it was a book I enjoyed. The secondary characters were funny and interesting and added interest to the story, without taking the attention away from the main couple. The duke is certainly a character and maybe a little too much at times, but I couldn't help but love him. I hope we will see him find a lady for himself by the end of the series. I would love an update on Lady Lavender in one of the upcoming books since she was a lovely lady even if she was forgotten in the later parts of the book and was only brought up as a reason for conflict.

Grace and Dashlend had a cute story and for the most part, it was without any drama which is something I enjoyed. When the drama came, I found it a bit too much, considering how light the rest of the book was, which is why I am leaning toward a 3.5-4 star rating. I wasn't a big fan of the dark twist, but since everything turned out well, I am willing to let it slide. Another thing, is that from what I gathered (haven't read the first book, so this conclusion only came up from what I read in this one) is that when the male protagonist does something bad to the heroine, the family (and Mrs. Right) are quick to avenge her. I really hope that in one of the upcoming books, it will be the heroine who wrongs the hero and the family will try to come to terms with that because I worry it will become repetitive otherwise even if the revenge is served in funny ways.

Grace is a klutz...

Grace, the second oldest daughter of the Duke of Pelham is up next on his wedding list. He has seven daughters, no sons and a fervent wish for an empty house. Grace falls over everything so her father is looking for a stalwart man for her to wed.

Grace finds him adrift with his high strung valet. Miles is a viscount whose cousin happens to want him dead so he can inherit the earldom.

Kind of a slapstick historical.

The Duke of Pelham’s got seven daughters to get rid of, and now he’s on to number two. Lady Grace Nicolet will make her debut. Unfortunately, she has the unique ability to find herself on the floor at the most awkward moments. She lives in terror that people will notice her clumsiness and make a joke of her name.
As the Nicolets set off from the Yorkshire Dales, the duke has the idea to meander to the coast so his girls might get their first glimpse of the sea. On arrival, they get more of a view than they’d anticipated. Miles Delatore, Viscount Dashlend, son of the Earl of Gravesend, has spent two days adrift in his sloop and has just washed up on the beach. Baron Montclave will become the Earl of Gravesend’s heir—if Dashlend dies before producing an issue. Thus far, it has seemed a likely eventuality, as Dashlend has been busy putting his life in danger in every conceivable manner. Montclave’s hopes had leapt to the sky when his cousin was reported lost at sea. But then, Dashlend did not stay lost.
Another fun, entertaining romance. The author’s books are light hearted & have lots of laughs, although I did find some of the antics in this book a little cruel. I liked both Miles & Grace & enjoyed their journey to a HEA.

Another fun story of sisters growing up with an eccentric Duke for a father and a domineering housekeeper named Mrs Right.
The author is really good at these stories showing families with all their glorious flaws.
Grace is exactly the opposite with her clumsiness and falls.
Dashlend is enamoured with her from first sight but they have to go through a few trials for their HEA.
Truly enjoyable romp.

Home life is a chaotic as ever in the Nicolet household, with a Season and love interest for second eldest Grace, a new butler for Mrs Right to run off and an elderly couple who almost rival the Duke for eccentricity. Cannot wait to read the next sister’s story.

I enjoyed this one as much as the last. Patience and Miles have an immediate connection it and was a joy to watch their romance unfold. The Duke is a card and Mrs. Right diabolical. Throw in Lady Margaret and Moreau and it was laugh out loud. Definitely recommended. I can't wait for the next!! Thank you Kate Archer, Dragonblade Publishing and NetGalley for allowing me an advance copy for my honest feedback.

There are not many authors that can keep things witty and fun through an entire story, but this one can! I laughed through the entire cacophony of mishaps, conversations and joy-filled times with the Duke and his family. I adored the Duke and his eccentric ways, Mrs Right who is never wrong(mostly) , Moreau -well, you will just have read about him! Valor is adorable, Grace is fearful that her gracelessness will be uncovered and Dashlend is just trying to stay alive. Their meet-cute is so sweet and Dashlend’s gentlemanliness was so swoon-worthy. Some of these scenerios are just plain hilarious and I really must go back and read book one of this series as it sounded hilarious as well. Lady Margaret and her beau are just a hoot and her feistiness is enchanting! The villain gets their due, but not as you would have thought- a very interesting twist. Finding out why Grace was so graceless is another twist that you don’t see coming and I have to say this author has some really interesting ways of writing! I bet that household is as crazy as her stories! Loved it!

I received the story for free and these are my own views.

This is another typical Kate Archer book with lovable, sometimes peculiar characters and funny staff that not always behave as they’d be expected to. A light but entertaining, clean read that isn’t serious.
Grace’s father is a duke and he is very eccentric and quirky. His own sister even calls him a lunatic, trying to get things straightened out but she’s rebuffed every step of the way. He thinks everything in life is a joke, he makes fun of everything and everybody and takes nothing ever serious. So you can imagine what his seven daughters are like with a father like that. They’re brought up with lots of freedom and the staff too are permitted a lot of liberties. The whole family is enjoying life a lot.
They all travels to London for Grace to find a husband, and while traveling there they meet Miles, viscount Dashlend, his eccentric French valet and and eventually his elderly cousin Lady Margaret. She is the true hero in this book! She’s just marvelous and brings the whole lot together. She reassures the youngest daughter Valor that monsters under your bed can be chased away, she points out to her cousin Miles that the true nature of a crazy family can be judged by their treatment of a three legged dog, and has a hand in bringing everyone together.
A book full of fun, ridiculousness, laughter, crazy staff, a bit of a villain and games of Fact Or Fib.
This is book 2 in the Senseless Complications series but can be read as a standalone. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

This was a sweet, funny romance and perfect if you are looking for a book that isn't too serious or complicated. I liked Grace and her family very much but wished they had been kinder to the working class. I know most of their hijinks (primarily their father's) are done with no bad intentions, but it still irked me a little. If they want to punch up and make jokes at the expense of other members of the aristocracy I have no problem with that, but the jokes they play on innkeepers (whose businesses rely heavily on keeping rich customers happy) is uncalled for. But I digress, back to this story. I liked Grace and Dashlend and following the development of their relationship. I also liked that the more we got to know the Duke the more you saw how much he loved his daughters and that he was actually a pretty good guy in the end. Moreau was too over the top for me and I really do not understand how Dashlend and his staff put up with him. I thought Montclave's final action to keep Grade and Dashlend apart came out of nowhere and seemed too much even for him. And although I did not like him, I do not think he deserved the ending he ultimately received (his fate ended up being very Edgar Allan Poe-ish). One of my favorite parts in the entire book was when Lady Margaret got one over on Mrs. Right - I know Mrs. Right's actions are all in service to protecting/caring for the girls, but it was still nice to have her reminded she wasn't quite the genius she thought she was. Luckily, in the end, Dashlend was able to get the Duke and Grace to not only listen to this side, but to also realize his actions and feelings toward Grace were genuine. The twist at the end explaining the cause of Grace's unsteadiness was pretty funny. I was glad we got an explanation because throughout the book I was trying to figure out what condition she had. I'm definitely curious as to what the rest of the Duke's daughters will encounter on their own paths to the altar.

The title, 'Lady Graceless,' describes this book perfectly. I had not read book one in the series before reading this, though I didn't feel lost. The father is a riot of fun, and it's no wonder the daughters turned out as they did. It was a little difficult to keep track of all the characters at first, but it got easier as the story progressed. A cast of eccentric characters, a fun meet-cute for the H and h, and a sweet romance make for an entertaining historical romance adventure.

3.5

Another fun and funny adventure for the Nicolet sisters. Grace, who is not what her name portrays finds and falls in love with Miles and heir to an earldom. Except Miles cousin decides that he is a better fit as an heir. Lots of laughs, adventures, misadventures and funny moments later, Grace and Miles make it to the alter.
