Jesus Sheep by Jeff Gwaltney is a shorter read, but don't let that fool you. Jeff takes us on a serious dive into Jesus sheep and a fantastic dive into the behaviors of sheep and why they are that way, but how that also relates to us and why we need a Good Shepherd. What I loved about this is it's really well thought out and explained in a way that itsn't overwhelming but also very very practical to understand. Definitely a thought provoking read, and I think my favorite chapter is the second to last, Jesus sheep fall....but how encouraging that it's broken down into not failure, shipwrecked, brokenness, out of the game, but all subsections are filled with encouragement, hope, and a different lens to look through. Highly recommend for every single one of us 'sheep'.
*I received a copy of this book from NetGalley. This review is my own opinion*

This book was very insightful and sheds light onto the relationship of a Good Shepherd and their flock. It shares practical knowledge on what sheep are like and how they operate and in turn how a Good Shepherd operates. I love how much scripture was used throughout the book and it definitely is very based on the gospel story. I do think that this is a good read for newer Christians because it gives a good foundational knowledge on a variety of topics as well as the sheep/Shepherd relationship. I will say I was not a fan of the writing style because it was more like an essay than me reading a book. But with that being said it is still easy to read.
Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to read this ARC!
