I just finished my first Lady Eleanor Swift novel, and I’m hooked! I can’t wait to dive into the series from the start. This book was an utter joy to read.
In just under two weeks, Henley Hall and its sprawling grounds will come alive with wedding bells as Lady Eleanor Swift ties the knot with the charming Chief Inspector Hugh Seldon. With so much left to plan, Ellie’s juggling her excitement alongside her duties to the locals, like the upcoming Spring Supper. But when a wave of food poisoning strikes Little Buckford’s residents, Ellie leaps into action to uncover the cause. What she doesn’t expect is the peril it brings to those she holds dear. Will she and her trusty sidekick Clifford unearth the clues to stop a cunning culprit, or will Henley Hall’s happiness crumble for good?
This story was pure magic. The wedding buzz is warm and playful, peeling back the curtain on a surprisingly relaxed Henley Hall. Meanwhile, the village of Little Buckford, its quirky locals, and some mysterious newcomers steal the show. The clash of lifestyles and values is striking, and Ellie faces challenges that push her to new limits. I couldn’t put it down—every page was a treat!
Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an advanced digital copy in exchange for an honest review.

This talented author has written a page turner. Realistic characters keep the story moving quickly. Mystery and secrets… this is a series that keeps me intrigued. Thanks Netgalley

What a lovely series this is and a joy to be able to read the latest instalment. In this book the long awaited wedding approaches but is marred by the division between the two halves of the village and the small matter of some devious poisoning.
As usual this is a delight to read and for fans of the cozy crime mystery although this can be read as a standalone to read in series order allows the reader to get to know and love the cast of characters.
Highly recommend this book and can’t wait to see what challenges lie ahead on the honeymoon.
Thank you to Netgalley, the author and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

Another hit in the series. Lady Swift is back with her beloved pets and butler. A mass poisoning has people scared and pointing fingers at each other. Eleanor must do something before more deaths occur, especially since her fiancé is also targeted. Liked this one, and highly recommend this book, series and author.

In less than two weeks, Henley Hall and it's grounds will ring with the sounds of celebration as Lady Eleanor Swift finally marries the dashing Chief Inspector Hugh Seldon and there is still so much to do! There are, of course, local responsibilities she has to continue with including the local celebration of Spring Supper. When many of Little Buckford's residents suffer from food poisoning Ellie knows she has to help discover the source but she could never have imagined the danger this will put everyone close to her in. Can she and Clifford find the evidence to catch a dangerous criminal or will life at Henley Hall be shattered forever?
This is such a brilliant book. The wedding preparations are lighthearted, full of love, and give a wonderful insight into the slightly less stuffy than expected life at Henley Hall! At the same time the village of Little Buckford, it's inhabitants, and the recent arrivals living nearby come under the spotlight. The differences in lifestyle and expectations are stark and the problems Eleanor encounters are on a different level than usual and I loved every word.
I was able to read an advanced copy of this thanks to NetGalley and the publishers, Bookouture, but the opinions expressed are my own. One of the best books in this series so far, it's highly recommended.
