Fake it 'Til you feel it was a fast paced story that was a fun, quick and easy read.

If you are looking for a low stakes love story to be a quick mood booster this is the perfect short story read for you.

Nathan and Dana have a strong working relationship, and now, in close proximity on a cruise, they unleash their attraction.

This book was a little oddly written. It seemed like a few chapters from a longer book. I could not quite get Nathan. Was he serious? Was he not. And Dana, what were her objections??? So, there are lots of unresolved questions and not enough background to quite make it a great read.

However, it is sizzling throughout, and that came through very well. Hot, hot 🔥

A short novella which was a workplace , assistant/boss romance.
Has all the potential for a good story but it felt like it jumped through the story so quickly that the build up, banter and story felt like big bits were missing and it was hard to connect to the characters.
However, still a fun and light hearted read between series!

I know it’s a novella, but there’s a real craft to a short form story that can pull together character development, cohesive plot, and keep it all interesting and engaging. Fake It Til You Feel It fell a bit flat. There just wasn’t quite enough of everything to make this 70-ish page story shine. It had a decent amount of dialogue but leaned heavily on the showing versus telling writing style. The story premise of “I need to look family friendly to land this business deal” is a common enough trope for workplace romances, so if you’re in the mood for that this might work for you.

Fake dating, boss/work romance, one bed. One spicy chapter out of ten.

He’s her boss, and they just have to pretend to be fake dating on a work retreat so a client will trust them. This was a solid novella. The main characters were realistic and super into each other. I enjoyed this a lot.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this early copy of this novella.

I typically love a quick, steamy novella that celebrates the love between two MCs. This novella unfortunately missed the mark.

There was very little chemistry or buildup between Nathan and Dana. The “love” deceleration felt rushed and insincere. I wish there was more banter and tension before the romance.

The story’s conclusion didn’t really make sense to me that Nathan quit his job. I found the plot confusing.

I would try another novella from this author because I did enjoy the spice scenes.

Thanks netgalley and publisher.

This was a short read that reminded me a lot of all the workplace-pretend-gf romances i read. I already see where it was headed from that first banter and i still ate it up even though it was too short it felt like the climax of the story is already here before it even registered it began. Cute short read to fill your time but don't expect a lot tho.

3.5/5!
Really enjoyed this short story, the tension and banter between the two main characters had me wanting to read more.
Because it's short, there isn't much build up but still made a fun, entertaining read with some spice.

Fake it ‘Til You Feel It is a fast paced romance that was wholeheartedly fun to read. It brought together some of my favourite tropes like fake dating, grumpyxsunshine and the notorious only-one-bed (I mean, what could possibly happen?). It was light hearted, and filled with quick witted banter that really sold the story between the fierce Dana Roberts and ruthless CEO Nathan Clarke. I wish the backstory between these two were more fleshed out so I could of seen a more intimate emotional connection, if anything a few extra pages of their history would of made this a higher star read.

Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

“My demanding, insufferable, maddeningly attractive boss.” The tension between the characters had me hooked! I’m generally not a fan of short stories because they leave me wanting more. I feel like these characters and plot would make for an amazing 300-page book! Because it’s short, there isn’t much build up before they get together. But that’s not a bad thing— it was still very fun to read, the writing was well done, and the spicy scenes were entertaining! 3.5 stars!

I honestly love this! The “enemies to lovers” feel between boss and employee is a favorite of mine to be honest. The tension and heat were spot on! Would love to see where this goes.

Quick, well written and heckin' steamy - just the way I like my romances.

5 stars. Would recommend (and already have recommended) to my romance loving friends!

I loved this story about a woman and her boss fake dating to win over clients. It was fun and exciting to see their romance play out on a cruise ship no less! Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

OK! This was a quick read but I loved it! Thank you NetGalley! I honestly wished it was longer! I absolutely love this cover and I read it very fast! It's only 55 pages, but still! Loved it!

I struggle with short stories and novellas because I always want more. This story is strong enough for a whole book. Two strong characters unwilling to compromise on feelings. No conflict, just acceptance of their emotions. Plus who doesn't love the fake dating and only one bed tropes?!
